Lol all I can say I legit hope this was an off day for them. The service was noooot good! It took forever for our food to come out and it was lukewarm to almost cold and they got the majority of our orders wrong, bringing out food or drinks that we did not order. The only reason I gave it two stars was because the smash burger and the French toast were solid. The omelette was cold and just didn't taste good (1 star). The other star was because another server came to help us and was very apologetic, she was very nice. Our original server was apparently the supervisor, so needless to say we were annoyed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance in the restaurant was nice, although the DJ was not that good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm really hoping it was just an off day for them and not indicative of their everyday service.

Dropped in for a group event on a Friday.. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was pretty laid back. They had a DJ that night so it was a really nice vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the turkey club and a cosmopolitan. The turkey club was a regular sandwich with above average turkey. The cosmo was perfectly made the bartender did a great job with the drinks. I would swing by again for a cocktail. It's in a great location next to ponce city market.

Drink: The Aviation. Especially appropriate after arriving from flight. Recommended by talented and friendly bartender, Jesse

ORIGIN: Mrs. P's Bar & Kitchen opened in 2021 as part of the restoration and expansion of an independent hotel that is now known as the Wylie Hotel. The name of the hotel restaurant is a nod to the LGBTQ-friendly tea room that had graced the original hotel between the 1950s and 1980s. CONCEPT: Mrs. P's serves hotel guests and visitors from 7 AM breakfast to 11 PM cocktails, and offers popular American dishes, including a few with Southern roots (e.g. shrimp and grits; pimento cheese appetizer). EXPERIENCE: As is proclaimed on the restaurant's paper coasters, Mrs. P's Bar & Kitchen can surely be described as "tucked away". The restaurant is a restful oasis for all, and has a variety of cozy seating options, from upholstered sofas, bar stools, and banquettes, to sun porch and umbrella-covered patio seating. In this way, Mrs. P's provides a peaceful retreat for busy travelers and commuters. Breakfast/Brunch: One of the striking features about Mrs. P's is thoughtful touches that elevate the dining experience. At breakfast, this is exemplified by the tableware and drinkware. For example, cream is served in a delicate, sculptural vessel, while salt and pepper shakers are composed of elegant transparent, cut shapes reminiscent of crystal. A ho hum choice of sausage and eggs was unexpectedly elevated by the plating and chef's culinary expertise and care. Sausages were sliced vertically and adorned with grill marks. Potatoes were crispy and attractively caramelized. I highly recommend this dish. Shrimp and grits is a good option for brunch, paired with a Bloody Mary, but I was surprised to find the shrimp enveloped by a thick barbecue sauce. This is not mentioned in the menu description. Dinner: The short-ribs were moist and spectacularly plated with baby root vegetables artfully scattered on top (see photo). (As I am looking to perfect this dish at home, I will include this aspect!) The dish paired well with a glass of Poe Ultraviolet Cabernet Sauvignon. Unfortunately the crispy oysters that Kayla B. had recently raved about were not available during my stay. Look out for it. Bar: I have limited experience with cocktails, but ventured to try the Aviation, a popular early 20th century cocktail that Jesse, one of the bartenders, thought I might like. I did! The Margarita I tried another day, prepared by a different bartender, to complement some Puerto Rican roast pork leftovers in my hotel room, but found it was half ice cubes. I adventurously tried one of the four hotel signature cocktails concocted by Hannah one evening (Long is the Night), but did not perceive it to match the creative, complex description she envisioned. TIPS: Expect music during weekend brunch. In spring 2023 it was announced that the independent hotel will become part of the Hilton Tapestry Collection. This may result in a change the menu and experience. Mrs. P's is available for private catered events. During my visit, a spectacular breakfast spread had been prepared in the sun porch for an REI corporate meeting.

Location and Parking Mrs. P's is located in the Wylie hotel. Parking is valet only, and is free for 2 hours. Venue and Atmosphere The restaurant overlooks a patio and is gorgeous, with floor to ceiling windows and a lot of natural light. The furniture is art deco style, and resembles and upscale hotel lounge. Service Our waitress was very nice and gave great food/drink recommendations. Food and Beverages I ordered the charcuterie board with a Matcha Miko cocktail. The drink was unlike anything I've had before, but the best I can describe it is that it is a creamy, spiked matcha latte with a hint of lime. The charcuterie was filling; I even gave 1/3 of it to my friend and I was still satisfied. My only downside is that the prices are a bit expensive for what you get. Verdict I'll be back for a special occasion; this is not an "everyday" restaurant.

    Curiosities

I stayed at the Wylie Hotel on a Saturday night and came down to Mrs. P's Bar & Kitchen for a late dinner. I started with the Curiosities cocktail which they had listed as a spicy Margherita (as stated on their menu) because I love a good margarita. I will give the team credit for having good customer service. One of the managers asked if I wanted a short or tall straw and I said short since the glasses are shorter. I received a straw that had been basically torn in the middle. I knew it was torn because the plastic on the straw was stretched like it had been pulled apart. If you don't have short straws that you ordered to be short, then don't offer it to your guests. I immediately went to the bar and asked for a straw and received a long straw which was perfectly fine. For my environmental folks that read this, yes I know that I need to bring my reusable straw with me. I'll put it in my purse tomorrow. Anyway to sum this up, I didn't like the cocktail and couldn't finish it because of the taste of one of the ingredients. I'm not sure which one, maybe the prickly pear liqueur. For my entree I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with fries and it was excellent. They have honestly mastered it and it shouldn't ever change. My server was great. Very attentive and polite.

If you're at the hotel this is a decent breakfast but all the food was lacking flavor and service wasn't all that great. The space is cute though and it's convenient.

I came here for a networking event when they first opened. It was an intimate setting but it was so cute! There were hors d'oeuvres all over the place and little charcuterie boards all over the place. There was a little something for every person and every flavor you desired. So, I decided to come back for a little breakfast while my dog was getting groomed since it was less than 5 minutes away and had breakfast and was served by my magnificent Miranda, a cute little unicorn with the flavored hair! I had two eggs w/ cheese with toast and chicken sausage! The chicken sausage was good as ever! It was a little sweetness to it but went perfectly with the cheese eggs. I also got a cup of green mint tea. I had the best breakfast ever! Plus, I had the juice of the day which is made fresh! It was pear, carrot & celery with a hint of apple juice. Good and good for you! You all should definitely visit for a brunch or half priced bottle of wine on Tuesday evenings! I'll be back for sure! Plus, the rooms are super cute and chic. Definitely puts the boutique in boutique hotel. Plus, it's walking distance to Ponce City Market and overall close to everything. There's also a cute upstairs and outside area to enjoy!

You want to feel ripped off for breakfast in Atlanta ? Head to Mrs P's. We stayed at the Wylie hotel and despite the bad reviews I was craving an omelet and this was the only place nearby with the option. For a grand total of $70 we had two breakfast meals, a coffee, a side of bacon and an orange juice. The whole thing was bizarre. My husband asked for a cold brew coffee and the sever said he could do that. Well it was just coffee with ice in it.. My omelet was actually really good but the rest was sub par hampton inn free breakfast style. Check out the photo of the bacon - it looked and tasted like the bacon you buy in the box in the grocery store. The chicken sandwich was a literal patty of chicken. We should have walked the half block to Chick-fil-A for a real piece of chicken to add to the sandwich. It took about an hour from the time we sat down to when we were finished so the service and time was fine but man oh man. It's a shame because the interior is really nicely decorated and they had a live dj playing smooth jam music (Sunday 11am). We sat in the second section inside by the street and there was a serious gnat problem. Little gnats flying all around while we tried to eat. There was no one in the restaurant aside from us - it is no wonder. Highly recommend just walking down the block to ponce city market for a meal!

Been wanting to go here for some time and man it was amazing. The valet is free the first two hours. The ambiance is great and so cute. Friendly server and I had the steak frites for lunch as well as the countess cocktail. Both exceeded expectations. Can't wait to go back and try brunch (or get the steak again!)

Mrs P's is located inside the Wylie Hotel just sets away from Ponce City Market. Mrs. P's Bar & Kitchen, a dignified but approachable dining lounge offering southern eats and inventive drinks. The Wiley hotel is super sophisticated with very sexy sultry vibes. There's tons of indoor seating in their dining area. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Serving up seasonal southern dishes and curiously satisfying cocktails, you're sure to find what you're looking for at our restaurant and bar. So I did not stay in the hotel when I went. Me and a friend just met up after work to have cocktails in a couple of bites and catch up. I went when they had just opened, I think they had only been open for maybe like a week or two. So I wanted to get there before everybody found out about how amazing this place is. As I waited for my friend to arrive I enjoy the cocktail. I looked at the menu and didn't really see anything that I liked as far as drinks but the amazing bartender Waverley made this wonderful concoction for me. It was one of the best drinks I have had in a really long time. When I asked her what she mixed together because I liked it so much she literally said she made the drink herself. So she infused this rum with vanilla beans and just let it soak up all the goodness. I don't remember the other things that she mixed but it was great! She really took care of me and my friend because it wasn't but a few people there when we went. Which made it really nice to just sit out and enjoy our cocktails on the terrace. My friend ended up getting the old fashion. She is a big bourbon drinker and she enjoyed her drink a lot. They also just ended up bringing me a spicy margarita which was really good as well. You got a watch that one though because it is a little spicy but delicious. As far as the food went I was the only one that ordered something. I ordered the pork belly tacos but they informed me that they were out of the small tortillas to make tacos and asked if it was ok if they did it as a quesadilla instead. I said sure because it's basically the same thing just put together differently. When they brought it out it was just so unappealing on the plate. It just looked very blah and I expected a nice presentation. Just going off of the way the hotel looks and everything I expected a little more. I did have to ask for some sort of sauce or salsa to dip it in. I shouldn't judge a book by its cover too quickly because it did have a really good taste. That was really my only complaint about this place. They could've at least put a piece of lettuce or garnished it with some parsley just dress the plate up a little bit. But everything was really good! The next time I go I definitely want to experience dinner at the hotel and I also would like to stay in one of the rooms and really get the full experience. It's located in a really great area. I could literally see part city market from the terrace. Within walking distance. I will definitely come back!

It was great because there was no wait and we could sit anywhere that we wanted. The only problem was, we went thru the open table app and it told us that we needed a reservation and that the dress code was business casual. So Next time I'll just call the restaurant because we were way over dressed and the hostess said "just go in and sit anywhere you want" trust me I liked the relaxed atmosphere and the food was very cleanly prepared and tasty. I'll be sure to go back, but I'll be dressed for the occasion.

We were so excited to come by. The vibe was amazing. Food was delicious. However, it wasn't busy and we were totally ghosted at our table. It was so obvious and the couple next to us weren't by their server and it was almost obvious that he wasn't making eye contact with us. I'm writing this review as we wait for our check. Disappointed to say the least. This was at Mrs. Ponce btw, we did not stay at the hotel.

My Mom & I with the Mrs P event coordinator Trinity

I really struggled to find the perfect venue for my grad dinner, then last minute I called Mrs P and was put in contact with Trinity. Trinity helped me plan such a lovely evening. We reserved the rooftop. When it got too hot to stay outside, Trinity and her team moved the whole party set up to the indoor area. We had a few hiccups, but they were all resolved so quickly and with so much grace. We were able to hook up to speakers to play some music, have balloons delivered, and bring our own dessert with no issues at all. I am so happy I booked Mrs P. Our waiters were amazing and so sweet. I can't recall both of their names, but big shoutout to them! My family and friends thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Trinity was super attentive and took the stress out of planning. She really radiates warmth and kindness. I would definitely host a large group there again. Thank you Trinity and team! Almost forgot to mention: after the hiccups, we were given complimentary champagne & my Mom's meal was comped . Customer service so good I can barely remember what went wrong 10/10 service for sure!!

While I know many come for the food, I personally make the 25-minute drive for one thing: the Sweet Potato Cheesecake. Or at least, I used to. Couldn't have been happier with our choice. Reviews I'd seen online mentioned parking is a bit limited and that the restaurant is frequently busy. So we were prepared for that even though we were going on a Thursday mid morning. I think there was an influx of people celebrating graduations because it was in fact very busy. I was sure we would have a wait for a table, which of course would have been fine, but actually we were seated immediately! Which was super nice and unexpected. The atmosphere is bustling but not in a bad way. The restaurant itself is adorable and has a lot of character. It feels like you're having breakfast at an old friend's house. The service was great and our food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. I ordered a specialty coffee, I believe it was the almond joy cold brew, and it was delicious. Strong, which is how I like it and not overly sweet. I ordered the chicken biscuit on the waiter's recommendation and it was absolutely the best fried chicken I've ever had. Juicy and crispy. My husband ordered the pimento cheese omelette and was very happy with it, the bacon was thick cut and smoky and flavorful. The pimento cheese grits that came on the side for me were also a stand out, such great flavor. The biscuits are fantastic and the blueberry basil jam that came with my husband's meal was such a nice touch. We will absolutely make a point to come back to Buttermilk Kitchen next time we visit the Atlanta area.

TL;DR: Super cute spot with decent breakfast offerings and great staff. Don't go out of your way to…read morecome, but worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood. First things first: the Chicken Biscuit. Buttermilk Kitchen's biscuit is on the crunchy, honey-flavored side. I personally prefer fluffier, more buttery biscuits, so this one wasn't my favorite. That aside, the chicken was crispy and well-seasoned and paired well with the cheese grits. If you ever wanted a dry, crunchy version of Homegrown's Comfy Chicken Biscuit, come give this a shot. I also tried the Hash Bowl, which was a bit underwhelming. It was a *lot* of potatoes compared to the eggs and bacon bits, and there wasn't a lot of seasoning other than the bacon. Would rather recommend one of the other options if you end up visiting. The drinks are good as well, would recommend the matcha latte (not too sweet!) and the French Press coffee.

WAS THIS A HIT OR MISS ???…read more It was a HIT I have been dying to try this place out for years and I figured I planned a lunch with a friend so we could spend the afternoon chitchatting and this was the perfect spot. So we were warmly greeted and then taken to a quiet table in the corner that had the whitest tablecloths. It looked rather chic Then we had the best server. She checked on us numerous times, didn't rush us and offered suggestions. She kept our table clear of mayhem from empty plates and glasses. Now the food was delicious. It was so good. The chicken was moist and the outside was crispy. The mashed potatoes melted in my mouth. Plus, we had a slice of 7up cake for dessert. I high recommend this place. They have valet parking that is only $2. Great place to visit. Until next time.

Location Carries, Great for Clients, Not for Value…read more Location, location, location. That's the story here. This spot earns its 4 stars largely because of the setting and service. Right in the heart of Buckhead with a beautiful view great energy, well-dressed crowd, and a strong place for a work lunch or client meeting. Service was solid, no complaints there. I'll keep it simple the food was good, don't get me wrong. But for the price, it just didn't match up. This is one of those places that works if you're trying to impress clients or enjoy the atmosphere. Strip away the location, and the food-to-price ratio probably lands much lower. Just my take. Overall: 4/5 great setting, just comes at a premium.
