If Yelp allowed 1.5 stars, Applebee's would still be working to earn them. We went to the Applebee's closest to us on a weekday out of pure convenience. No illusions here. We know it's an Applebee's. Expectations were low and somehow still not met. The food was the main offender. Everything tasted like it had been dragged through the salt flats in Utah. The chicken sandwich was falling apart before I even got a chance to eat it, and the overall quality just wasn't there. On top of that, the bill was pushing $60, which is honestly wild given what showed up on the table. Service didn't help. The restaurant was dead dead dead and still painfully slow. Our server was nice enough, just completely checked out and ineffective. It felt like effort was made, but execution never showed up. What really seals it is that places like Chili's are doing this same style of food so much better, which makes it obvious why Applebee's continues to fall behind nationally. This location in particular feels very stuck in the 90's. It genuinely felt like the Applebee's the movie "Waiting..." was based on. Why isn't it zero stars? This is not the first time we have witnessed the General Manager, Kendra, creating a toxic environment in the dining room. We have repeatedly heard her loudly screeching across the floor and talking down to her staff during busy shifts. Today was the final straw she made a massive, unprofessional scene arguing with a server at the expo window right in front of paying tables. The service was very good here. The fried cheese appetizer was rubbery and obviously just out of a box in the freezer. My club sandwich was greasy and not very tasty. The French fries were okay. First off let me say that Ari not only sat us, but she also was our server, so friendly and helpful! My son and I decided to try the new deal, Big Cluckin' sandwich for him, and the Bacon Cheese burger for me, and we both truly enjoyed our choices! I haven't been to AppleBee's in years, like 7-8 years, there just isn't one near my community. Our food came out fresh and hot, and the meal comes with the entree, fries, and a non alcoholic beverage, and get this, as of 1/18/25 the meal per person is only $10 Bucks! THAT's cheaper than many fast food options, with less food, the chicken sandwich was huge, my son added a sauce to his, I believe it was Hot & Spicy, and my burger fed me and my brother had the other 1/2 that I had to take home lol. Do not recommend this location at all! We had 2 servers who have been on the job less than a week. They were nice as could be but definitely should have had more training or shadowing a more experienced server. After waiting for at least 40 minutes and having one of our plates wrong and the other two not even hot, we had to leave. Then we ordered our food (with alcohol) it took 45 minutes before it came out, never got our other drinks, food was wrong for every single person, never got any of our extra sides or dips. Then took another 30 to get our checks or even see the waitress. After that our checks were wrong and the server charged our card twice. I rarely go to this Applebee's, but every time I go there seems to be an issue. The girl working today told me she would get yelled at if she gave me a large to-go container! Me and my wife had a lot of food to take home, but instead of giving me a large container she gave several small containers. WTH is going on here??? Why would you get in trouble for giving a to-go container that's perfectly fits out to-go food??!! I'm sure it costs more to give 3 or 4 small container vs. one regular size containers. This location is horrible, not enough employees, they are not aware of promotions that are listed on Applebee's website, you stand at the front door for 10 mins waiting to be seated, whatever you do don't order the all you can eat because when you ask for more there is over an hour wait. First and only time ordering from this location. Door dashed and there was a fly in part of the order. Additional protein was not included and steak was overcooked. Called and spoke with someone who claimed they where the manager at the time. He was nice, when asked if I wanted the order redone or a refund, I requested a refund. He said 3 to 5 days on the refund. Never happened. Called back and spoke with who claimed they where the store manager. Very rude, interrupted me, stated they don't give refunds only store credit. Hung up and contacted corporate customer relations. They are now dealing with it. 100 of 100 will never go to again kor recommend. read more

Sunday night was the worst service I have gotten at Apple Bees. Very rude service. And even brought me nachos with no queso and walk away!

DWB. Dining While Black. We came into this establishment for some drinks and to watch the MLB game. The bartender at first came off nice (for a tip). To my surprise It turned out to be one of the most insane nights of my life. I have never really experienced racism I consider myself friendly nice to all. The bartender and manager Jose at this restaurant treated me and my friends so terribly it was unimaginable it literally brought me to tears. We were treated poorly and mishandled. I would NEVER go back there and would not recommend anyone else if you appreciate great service across the board find another establishment to watch the games. Yelp won't let me add the videos so I will be adding to Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I hate that I can't give negative reviews and call someone about this. On late nights in particular, we like to stop at the Applebee's on 423 in Eldorado. Sometimes it's super busy and that other times not so bad but we have always had excellent service with a friendly smile from their wait staff. Maybe we've been lucky but on the numerous occasions we have been there, I don't think so. we have a few favorites, but the food is always come out hot and consistently good. As I was sorry to see the one in Frisco close as we frequented that quite often until COVID..... not sure if that was the reason but it was a busy restaurant prior to that. The last few times I ordered food from this location my order was missing something. Today, is no exception. I ordered the soft pretzels and they didn't give me the queso. I ordered won ton tacos and the didn't give me the sauce. I ordered cheese curds and they didn't give us the dipping sauce. The last time I ordered they forgot my salad. The server was nice and kept our drinks refilled. We bought the 2 entrees for 25, which was a good deal. The spinach artichoke dip was good, however it went downhill from there. My husband ordered a hamburger and he requested no sauce, so they brought the burger with nothing on it, just the meat and cheese, no toppings what so ever. My brother and I split the chicken and pasta which was ok. The rest of the restaurant was very dirty. Dirty tables everywhere, the floors were a mess and the restroom had no paper towels anywhere. Just how i remember it being as a kid and it mouthwatering. I didn't even get a picture before i started eating . My mom got the quesadilla burger and it was missing guacamole and pico de Gallo which was upsetting for her. she didn't ask for them to fix it since we waited so long and they looked very understaffed. COSMIC WINGS- The wings aren't anything to be applauded for, at least in regards to the hot cheeto & sweet chili option. They weren't terrible but they weren't great, thus a mediocre review.
