Wanted to check out, as it had mixed reviews online. Arrived and greeted & sat ourselves at a high top. Place was not busy and decided on our food order. We got a Bill Clinton Chili dog and Chuck Norris Chicken Sandwich; both came with either homemade chips or fries, so we got one of each. Portions were fine and exactly what we were looking for. Our first server was very attentive; then must have been a shift change as then we were suddenly left on our own when we were looking for another rounds of beverages. Attended my son's birthday dinner here with the family. It's our first time here. This place is a typical Republican (GOP) place. Pictures of GOP leaders and entertainers are posted on the walls. I don't think Democrats will be coming to eat here. I ordered Original Donald Trump's cheese burger. Fully loaded Nachos and large pretzels. The birthday boy ordered Ron Reagan's burger. The food items have unique names and they taste good. Servers are friendly and helpful. But the floor guy or maybe the Floor Manager has an attitude. He told us many times that the restaurant does not allow outside food, which turned us off. The outside food is ice cream pie that my daughter in law brought for my son's birthday and we're not aware about such rules. He provided us the plates, knife and fork for the cake. But still, keep on telling us such rule (outside food not allowed). We were upset and decided to pay the bill and leave. My son brought home the cake and decided to light the birthday candles and have blow it at home, we had a great time, Nicely decorated restaurant/lounge. Ideally NOT for families with kids. This is a good place and would receive a 4-star if they only had more staff personnel. They had a good waiter (JJ), a bartender, and a chef. All nice people, but definitely under-staffed to cover a restaurant operation at a high level. Great menu and drink list. Good food (especially the Ronald Reagan burger!!). Tasty fries. Strong specialty drinks. Excellent environment with high table seating. Lots of large screen TVs displaying current sports. Clean bathrooms with individual stalls. Waited close to 20 minutes after being Ignored multiple times and finally had to ask for someone. To wait on us. We ordered two beers, fried mushrooms, and entrees. We were almost done with our entrees by the time the appitizer came. When the red headed bartender brought our food we told her that our appetizer never came and she rolled her eyes. They finally arrived and smelled like something from a fair booth. Not what I pictured at all. The hotdogs were good and the chips and fries were good but have no seasoning to them. I went up to the Angry Elephant with some other Dads from the neighborhood to watch the March NBA playoff games. Walking in, the bar has a collection of shirts for sale. I was turned off by the shirts. It felt like walking into a MAGA rally where they sell all kinds of Trump wear. Not a great ay to start. Yes, this is a politically themed bar. But they tend to want it both ways. It's like the Angry Elephant and his pal, the Donkey. The walls are equally covered with photos of ex-presidents Reagan, Eisenhower, Nixon (really?), Kennedy, and Clinton. There were even some First Ladies (mostly of Jackie Kennedy). Great brick walls, large TVs, and an impressive back wall at the bar. I loved the garage doors leading out to the patio. Food--it was better than most bar food. Yes, the have a lot of hot dogs. I ordered the Obama Dog, because it was a Chicago-style dog. It was fantastic. and one of the best Chicago-style dogs I've ever had. Too bad many of the patrons would never order due to the name. We also ordered the Mini Corn Dog appetizer, and the hotdog inside tasted like a Vienna sausage - not good. Chuck Norris sandwich was average. Service was really slow. It looks like they have a lot of staff, but no one was paying attention to the customers. You had to flag down staff for help. It's a cool setup, the subtle political elements are fine, but the over-the-top Trump shirts and slow service get in the way of it being a great bar. read more

Been twice now. Service is just under average, food is just okay. Nothing wrong, but nothing worth coming back for. The Reagan burger comes with two shrimp, both of which had the shells on them (inside the burger). Chips are pretty good, sauces all seem bottled, not house made. We decided to try this place tonight. My wife pointed out the large "fight, fight, fight" photo that was behind me after we ordered. If I would have seen it as I walked in I would have walked out. Food was overpriced. Wings were good, burger was a little rubbery and I wouldn't recommend. Soda was flat. Waitress was a little short and wouldn't even look at me. Presented the check to my wife and after she rang it up she again presented it to my wife. Guessing she didn't like my Toronto Blue Jays cap. If you want to run a political bar, your business. Apparently, they're trying to exist on their theme because the food was far below par for this area and the service is bad due to them being stretched to the limit. Service is fixable IF they want to. They are understaffed but friendly and were trying. Bartenders should not be waiting tables or else everybody's drink service stinks and everybody's food service stinks. I had to stand up and wave my arms at one point to get any attention. Food is not fixable. They need to scrap the suppliers and scrap the preparation and start over. This stuff may fly in somewhere outside of a an area with real food but I can't believe an owner tastes this nasty stuff and likes it. How to you make a bad burger? I dunno, order the cheapest meat and then overcook it? The cheapest buns and a pretend-cool sauce? The chicken fried steak bites? Has anybody ever tasted this nasty thing? It's like herbed with something inappropriate to add to the disgusting mush nugget to go for maximum nasty. Who tastes this stuff? Chips are bland, not crispy. The location is hit or miss because it's surrounded by a bunch of places which makes parking tricky, but the food is great. The staff is great. I've been there before for an event and it's a great place to just sit out by the patio. If it's nice whether they can have the doors open. Great place to grab a drink and just relax with some apps. Our waitress was nice and helpful, but the manager was rude and passive aggressive. We went here for the first time for my husband's birthday dinner around 5:30 pm. I brought a dessert for his birthday and asked if they could freeze it for us. The manager came over and said "you should have called first because we don't usually allow outside food, but we will allow it this time." We understand that you make the rules at your business, so we respectfully agreed to his request. It became an issue because he came over to our table at least FOUR different times throughout our dinner to repeat the SAME message. If he really didn't want us to bring a birthday dessert, a direct and simple "NO" would have been perfectly fine. He didn't need to keep reminding us throughout our meal. Honestly, the food was decent, but the manager made us feel very uncomfortable. He brought the dessert out with plates and repeated himself again...We chose not to eat our dessert there, paid for our meals, and quickly left. We won't be back due to poor treatment. read more

Been here 4 times hoping each visit would be better than the last. After 4 attempts I felt compelled to leave a review. This really has nothing to do with the food. I thinks it's pretty typical for bar food - good but not great. The service in this restaurant is horrific. The place has a cool vibe but it is overshadowed by the complete lack of service. The servers give off the feeling that they are bothered to serve you. I think they believe their job is to stand back by the bar/kitchen area gossiping and looking at their phones. The guests and patrons are just inconveniences throughout the day that they have to deal with. All 4 visits my glass or water sat empty for over 10-15 minutes before having to walk over to the bar and ask the bartender for a refill. (Also, unfriendly and completely annoyed) They make no attempt to follow up or check in once the order is taken. There is never any kind of pre-bussing the tables so plates just stack up and fill the table. Every time I've gone we have had to get up from our table, find the server and ask for our check which usually comes about 10 minutes later or a second request for the check is needed. The staff here just feels utterly irritated that people are there. I have never seen a manger or owner on any of my visits. Never anyone walking the floor to check on customers. It's clear nobody is managing this place and even more clear that they won't survive until they make some attitude & service adjustments. No sense of hospitality or service standards. It's a shame because it is so close to home and wanted it to become our new spot. read more

I've wanted to love this place. We were so excited when it opened and gave it many chances to improve on service. The food is good. The portions are big so many items can be shared. The service however is another story. In the beginning, they were understaffed and that was acceptable. Seven months in is another story. We went to the debate last Thursday. Service was slow. But the manager was the worst. He allowed patrons to attack the other patrons. We called weeks before the debate asking for a spit for about 15 people. We were told that we couldn't reserve tables and the day of it was first come first serve. The manager helped us move tables. Another group arrived at 7:40 looking for their reservation. Another group had claimed their table. The manager told the group leader that we took their table. When reminded that he helped us move tables he still said we stole the other group's tables. The other group harassed us all night. Service took over 30 minutes at a minimum. The servers were running from table to table and did a great job keeping all the tables straight. There just weren't enough of them. The management does a horrible job staffing the restaurant. This is the same story if the place is packed or moderately busy. read more
