Hector NEVER prebussed our table, but stood and talked forever for bill paying and still walked away empty handed. I was out of water for a while. He refilled sodas but not my water. I asked for water he sat a picture of water at the other end of table. I asked for two separate plates for sharing a meal. Never brought it. I had to ask someone else. I used to be in this business for years and trained my servers. He definitely needs more training. PERIOD!!! You never know who you're serving. Everyone deserves best service, especially to get at least a 15% tip. Very good service for me gets more than 20%!! If I have to think of the lack service I'm getting, bad service. I ordered 2 lbs of boiled crawfish to go with sausage. I got half of a sausage for $3. The crawfish meat is good quality. I could tell none of the crawfish were dead when they got boiled. Sadly, the crawfish is very bland. I'm from Louisiana and I like my crawfish seasoned. Their crawfish is minimally seasoned. The sausage tasted good, but was a bit pricey for half of a sausage. 3 of the 6 charbroiled oysters we ordered were so over cooked we couldn't peel it off the shell. Which is unfortunate bc the flavor of the ones cooked well were delicious. Crawfish was also over cooked not juicy and extremely hard to crack but the flavor again was really good. Hostess was sweet but I found our interaction to be funny. Hostess: would you like a booth? We went on a Friday during lunch- the parking is a little cramped but there are a ton of spaces in satellite parking lots out behind the place. We were seated with no problem. My food was fantastic as was my fiancé's and our appetizer. The service was very friendly but perhaps not enough of them- took a LONG time between check in's and waiting for drinks and our tickets, etc. I wouldn't call this lunch hour friendly by a long shot if you need to get back to work. I could definitely see how they're more of a laid back stay a while kind of spot. I look forward to bringing my mom here for this coconut shrimp. Went to The Green Gator in Plano recently. The atmosphere was great, fun vibe, lively, and definitely a place that feels like it wants to give you that Louisiana energy. That said, the service was pretty slow, and unfortunately our food didn't come out at the same time, which made it hard to enjoy the meal together. The fried green tomatoes were good and probably the highlight for me. However, the bread pudding didn't hit the mark, I've had much better in Louisiana, so maybe my standards are high. We came for Music Bingo on Tuesday at 7 pm and had a good time. It sounds like they play Rock N Roll music every week with a random category splashed into the mix (we had One Hit Wonders for two rounds). They provide the Bingo sheets and daubers. They have a progressive jackpot where you can win a few hundred dollars. Each winner of the round gets to be in the lottery drawing. One person is drawn at the end of the night. That person will pick one artist/band and if that artist/band is played within the first four songs of the shuffle, s/he wins the prize pool. That gives the person a 20% shot of winning (80 songs total in the list). Not bad as The Revel had a 1 out of a 1,000 chance of winning. For food, I tried the Alligator Combo (fried gator tails and fries) and was disappointed in the small portion of gators. The fries and sauce were good, though. My experience here was decent, it's a swanky spot. When I was here, they had a live DJ,, and the decor inside is nic,e, and it's easy to go. The cocktail is plentiful and interesting. I had the Bang Bang shrimp, fried oyster po boy, and the mango lemonade. The Bang Bang shrimp was delicious I liked the Bang Bang sauce flavor, because it was sweet with a kick. The shrimp was fried crispy and well cooked, however it was overly salty. The fried oyster po boy I are was very salty the oyster themselves was good and tasty but it was hard to get last the saltines, this could be just a one off and I hope it is but this is why it's just I can't review this place higher. The Mango Lemonade was delicious and tasty the drinks here are a go! Their service was good and attentive. I drove out of my way to get a specific menu item that I haven't had in a long time and I was basically ignored twice by the same woman that was asked to take my order. I had to ask her for a menu then she tried to talk me into some kind of happy hour specials and I told her I knew what I wanted and I told her it was a pasta salad. It's been a while since we've been to the Green gator, but we decided to pop in on a Saturday afternoon. With a Saints game on, the place was packed, but we were pleasantly surprised that the service wasn't slow despite the crowd. We started with the crab, stopped mushrooms in béchamel sauce, and wow - they were delicious! Creamy and flavorful, they were a great way to kick things off We had a craving for charbroiled oysters, so we went for a half order each of the black & bleu, and the regular char grilled. The black and bleu had a strong bacon flavor, which was nice, but they were left under the broiler just a bit too long. A little sauce would've taken them up a notch. The regular char, grilled oysters were good - cheesy, buttery, and perfect for dumping the soft bread in the buttery goodness. We left happy and full, but wished we had room to try the duvet or barbecue shrimp. Guess we'll have to save those for our next visit! Called for a pickup on my lunch break . was given the wrong order twice. when I came back the third time to notify that I was given the wrong order I no longer wanted the food and asked for a refund. the hostess was helpful and did what she could but how Hector and management handled the situation was disappointing. Not once did they acknowledge, apologize, or prioritize a situation that was caused on their behalf . Didn't get my refund was told to take the food and come back tomorrow. So, I've had this restaurant saved for a lil while because my fellow yelpers frequent this location often. However, when my friends, husband, and I visited I was highly disappointed. Other than that there were some new Orleans or Cajun type paintings and decor, which was nice to see since this restaurant is considered a cajun one. The service: it took foooooooorever for a server to address us. Then it took a loooooooooooong time for us to receive water. Our server must have had too much on his plate because he completely forgot about us. I want to say it's because a couple of people in our party were trying to figure out what to order; but we continued to be ignored even after receiving our food. So, much so l, that I think the manager ( a random black lady who seemed to be checking on everyone) that night had to continue to talk to our server and help us instead. To top everything off, my friend's order was placed wrong. The food: the food was ehh. I got nachos because why not go to a cajun restaurant and order non-cajun food. They menu actually had a lot of non-cajun tasting items. In my opinion, there wasn't a lot of appetizing cajun options. Will I be back again...nah, I'll pass. Met some out of town friends at this establishment. We camped out for a few hours and the staff treated us quite well despite taking a big table for that long. As we didn't see a crowd or any groups that might need that spot, we stayed. I should add we gave a huge tip to offset. The service to us was spectacular and multiple people took care of us. The appetizer platter of multiple fried items was delicious! The Cajun fries were also quite good. I later had a Catfish Po'Boy that was really good and even better with the dill tarter sauce!
