Horrible location! Needs new management asap. Today "curbside to go" was missing an entree, so while waiting for entree, other 3 entrees get cold. Get home STILL missing 2 french onion soups and side of mashed potatoes. Same occurence for each visit on july 3rd. June 27 and june 19th. Called to get refund for today's visit for soups, waited 8 min for manager Dean to get on phone and they hung up, called again spoke to a young kid who said "dean is in back busy", explained situation to AGAIN wait for Dean. I came here last night with a very large group (about 12 people) which I know can be difficult to serve, but the server, Stephanie, was extremely attentive and friendly. The refills kept coming and she checked up on us often. Our appetizers came our fast and so did our entrees, not to mention everything was super delicious! After we'd finished our meal, we sat around for a good 45 minutes conversing with all of our out of town family, which again I know can be obnoxious, but they didn't give us any grief and it was much appreciated. For the money, and a potentially shorter wait, you could visit many other local places and have a more favorable dining experience. This review is based solely on Applebee's Carside To Go process. Our lives can get pretty hectic at times. When that happens, I do a lot less cooking and order take out a lot more than I'd like to admit. The staples; pizza, Chinese food, Mexican, . . . can get old quick, especially when you are eating out 5+ days a week. I know. Don't judge!:) I like Applebee's Carside To Go because it's close to home, cheap (you can order off their 2/$20 menu when you take out too), and quick. I place my order on my phone and by the time I pull up in front of the restaurant someone is already running out with my food. I've never had to wait more than 30 seconds. The staff here has this down! I almost always order their Oriental Chicken Salad. It's tasty and filling and is offered with fried chicken or grilled. You used to have to pay $3 more for the grilled chicken, but they did away with that which I appreciate because the grilled chicken is obviously better for you but in my opinion also tastes better. It's a nice takeout option that doesn't weigh you down. We do not eat in the restaurant. But for takeout, we LOVE it! read more

First ever review on yelp. Here goes.... Arrived with a party of 7, wasn't greeted. The front waiter said follow me and didn't even look at us to make eye contact. Our waitress arrived for the drinks and got one wrong, no biggie. Came back to take our order which were appetizers for the most part. Chicken tenders, burgers, wings and such. I went to the Applebee's near Rocky Point. This review has no exaggeration or lies. my family and I were trying to decide which sit & eat restaurant to go to. We usually go to Outback. Outback is my favorite place to go to. Food is good, service is good. But we decided to go to Applebee's. We went in and got seated. It wasn't busy and all. Probably 12 people there at max. (Keep this in mind). So we ordered our drinks. The wait was FIFTEEN MINUTES! Gosh darn, there were like 12 people there including us! (Family of 5) When we finally got our drinks, 5-10 minutes later a waitress comes up. Not to be rude, but she weighed like 500lbs. We ordered our food, But I didn't like any other dinner restaurant except for Outback. So my father got me Wendy's. I cannot say anything about the food because I didn't EAT at Applebee's. Although my family can. My brother (Who is literally a human vacuum) said the food was decent at best. My Father (Who will eat just about anything but still not fat) said the food was also decent was average. The service was absolute CRAP. This place has gone downhill, fast. It used to be a great place to grab some food with some friends for the low and now it has become more of a hassle. I was very disappointed in this probably last visit to Applebee's in Miller Place. The bathrooms need updating and they appeared dirty, toilets, sink areas and garbage pail. Mozzarella sticks were great, but I was very disappointed in my cheeseburger platter. The french fries were hard as a rock, the roll for my burger was hard as a rock on top and really wet on the bottom, and the bacon totally tasted microwaved, I couldn't even chew it. Actually it seemed like the whole platter was microwaved. I ate a little of the burger. I enjoy Applebee's food when it's made correctly, this location in particular seems to have trouble getting that right, on top of having a poorly staffed restaurant. This locations curbside pickup is the slowest I have ever experienced. I am constantly on the go and sometimes need a quick meal to bring home before I go back to work. If I could give this establishment negative stars I would. I went there for a family night out and to catch up with friends. We had all just got off of work. We had orderd drinks and appetizers and continued to catch up and have a good time. We had gotten our apps and I was about to order another drink and then the waiter informed me that the manager said he wasnt allowed to serve is more drinks. Mind you we only had the one round, which we hadn't even finished. I thought he was joking and then he asked if we wanted to bring the manager over. I immediately was embarrassed, and said yes please send him over. The manager, jaime, then informed us that, since we were being loud, that he assumed we inebriated and made the call to cut us off. I then asked why didnt anyone come over and ask us to lower the volume if it was so disruptive. And Jaime proceeded to tell me that he made the decision based on what the waiter told him. We asked the waiter why he would say that and he said that he never said a word and that the manager made this decision based on the fact that we were heavily tattooed and loud. I have never been so embarrassed at an establishment. We asked the surrounding tables if we were disturbing their dining experience and they said no. The bartender even told us that he couldnt hear us from the bar and was only in the middle of it because the manager asked him to come over. We had an early evening meal at this Miler Place location and ordered our favorite appetizer to go, chicken wonton tacos, toward the end of our meal so we could enjoy them as a late-night snack. We asked for them to be "deconstructed" (wonton/taco shells separated from the other components - chopped chicken, slaw, etc..) but after we got home we realized the sauce was missing. We called the restaurant and spoke with Greg, the manager, to ask if we might be able to come back and get sauce and he graciously offered to put together all-new orders for us, which he packed up personally and then brought out to the car. This was by far the worst experience I have had at any restaurant. My friends and I left very uncomfortable and lost all of our appetites. The management at this establishment sucks and they need to reevaluate who they have running this restaurant. My friend, who has a gluten allergy and diabetes, came along with us to applebee's. She had low blood sugar and wanted sugar to put in her water, but they refused to give us any. We asked several waiters because we were confused why they kept telling us no. We were told that we would make a mess with the sugar and got treated like children and received attitude from every waiter we encountered. We then asked for the manager and he was no help at all. He told us that we were making the waitress uncomfortable and were asking her too many questions. Mind you the only questions we asked was what sides we could get with the meals we ordered, so she was basically just doing her job. He made the whole situation worse even after telling him how uncomfortable we were. I cant believe the treatment we received that night, we didn't even get to enjoy our food. Everytime I eat here i order the same steak. Tonight it was completely raw and not even edible. That's coming from someone who prefers their steak on the rarer side too. That wasn't even the issue though. i understand accidents happen. So i kindly asked to speak with the manager for a refund (i ordered to go so i wasn't aware my steak was raw until i got home). The miller place applebee's is a really nice place to enjoy good food and some drinks with your family or friends. Theres all kinds of different pictures of kids from the surrounding highschools posted on the walls, such as the sports teams, different clubs, and even pictures from "spirit week." If you grew up in the area, the pictures bring back a lot of memories from the high school days... The service is always very good, all of the servers are extremely friendly and patient even when the place is packed out! Theres one girl that tends to be my server quite often, her name is Kelly, and she always has a big smile on her face as she helps the customers. Simple things like that are part of the reason why I keep going back to the mp applebees. If you enjoy this type of "restaurant chain food" then I definitely recommend going here. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich, it was served dark brown, I sent it back for another, waited 20 minutes to once again get a burned sandwich. How good could it be? Applebees is not known for its culinary expertise or astonishingly amazing meals. It's high calorie, fatty food that Americans crave especially after 10 PM when it's half price appetizers time. I only come here when I'm meeting up with friends as it's 2 for 1 beers as well. I would usually give a place like this 1 star but I do like that they have numerous pictures and mementos depicting the local schools and local heroes which gives it that "neighborhood" feel they claim to provide. The last time I had food here I got the brownie bite for dessert which was essentially just that. I could not understand how 2 bites of brownie and mostly melted ice cream could equal 370 calories but apparently it does. Though this place is good for the younger crowd I think it's worth skipping and spending the extra money for better food and better service (as the waiters usually disappear for 20 minute intervals). read more
