5 stars Absolutely outstanding experience at Tap Room. I came in hungry and left completely blown away by the food. I ordered the beef short ribs sandwich and it was easily one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. The meat was incredibly tender, rich, and packed with deep, savory flavor. Every bite was juicy and satisfying -- the kind of sandwich that makes you slow down just to enjoy it. The texture, the seasoning, the balance... everything was dialed in perfectly. Honestly, "incredible" doesn't even feel strong enough. My friend ordered the steak sandwich, and we ended up sharing both. His was just as impressive. The steak had great flavor, was cooked nicely, and the whole sandwich came together really well. We kept going back and forth between the two, and neither one disappointed. Sharing them made the meal even better because we got to enjoy both at a high level. What really stood out is how strong the kitchen is here. You can tell they care about the quality of the ingredients and the execution. Nothing felt rushed or half-hearted. The food came out tasting like someone actually put thought and skill into it. Tap Room's kitchen is legitimately excellent. Overall this was a fantastic meal. Great sandwiches, great flavors, and a place that clearly knows what it's doing with its food. This was an amazing atmosphere for the Knicks in the NBA Finals. My family and I really enjoyed being in that environment for Game 2. We were able to walk in and secure a table a little after 7 for the 8:30pm tipoff. Our waitress was very accommodating despite the massive amount of people arriving as the game started. She was very helpful in recommending options for our beer flights and replacing our water frequently. They had a wide range of drink and food options that fit everyone in my group. My pretzel was very good and I would definitely return for another big sporting event in the future. read more

The burger was good, not super fantastic or anything but met my overall expectations. Server was very polite and helpful.

Service: Nice and Slow. I came with a group of 10. There always has to be someone assertive at the table or things don't get done. I imagine the meal could've finished a half hour sooner but it was hard to flag down the server. Food: Birria Eggrolls- okay. It is something worth trying it once but not worth getting again. For $13 you get two eggrolls. I think it could use more spices during the meat's cook to bring in more spice. Dragon Wontons- not worth it. For $14 you get 4 wontons. I just don't see the value in this dish. The filling was dry and the sauce was too sweet. Giant Pretzel- delicious. When it came to the table, everyone's eyes lit up seeing the well salted, glistening gem! Chicken Alla Vodka Sandwich- too much bread. With breaded chicken on a hero roll, it felt too much. Visit Date: August 30, 2025 My friends and I came here to eat after seeing an MJ tribute at the Paramount. I've been to a few tap rooms here and there. They're a decent chain around the island. I had the mac n cheese burger. I've yet to have a Mac n cheese burger that really wows me. The meat and the bread were good but both Mac n cheese burgers I've tried the Mac n cheese was just okay but great. This burger had Mac n cheese bites. We had some kind of dumpling my friend ordered as an appetizer I liked it. The service was good! I wish we could have heard each other talk. Saturday night is known to be a party night so I understand why the Tap room would have the music speakers blaring in hopes to attract some of the Huntington night life customers to come in and have a good time but when you want to have a conversation with your friends it's annoying not to be able to hear them over blaring music. I couldn't even speak to the waitress I just pointed to what I wanted on the menu when it came to my turn to order. Quickly seated on a Thursday night, solid menu with options for everyone. They have weekly specials, 20 wings for 20 bucks, ordered the dry rub and sesame garlic (but received the chili orange), and the totchos. Upgraded to the short rib on the totchos but didn't think it worked. The wing flavor wasnt what we asked for but it still tasted good so we didn't mind. Had a something Cosmo and it was delicious! Tap room took over for Craft restaurant (which in our view was awful!). So first -comparing it to Craft -food wise -definitely an upgrade. Service was excellent! Mozzarella' sticks seemed homemade but needed better marina sauce. The sliders were good --but the fries tasted frozen -cooked in somewhat a dirty oil flavor to us--that was disappointing. So disappointed with the service at the Tap Room in Huntington. On May 17th, I made a reservation for June 13th for dinner for 5 to celebrate a family milestone. We had family coming from out of town. We chose the Tap Room because the kitchen is open late (we knew we needed a 10 pm reservation because we had an event prior) and because the menu would work for everyone. I received a confirmation of our reservation on May 17th and then a reminder about our reservation on June 12th - the night before our dinner. We arrived at 9:58pm. I walked up to the doorman/bouncer and asked "Where do we enter for dinner." He arrogantly responded "You don't." I said "We have a reservation." He dismissively said "It doesn't matter." I responded "Our reservation doesn't matter?" He said "We have no tables." indicating with his shoulder where there were a number of full tables. I asked "No tables now or for the rest of the night." He said "No tables." He was coarse and rude. Why would they take a reservation, text a confirmation, and a reminder and then not honor that reservation? (This is rhetorical). I just want to give a heads up to everyone that your reservation at Tap Room in Huntington is worthless. Luckily, Besito's kitchen was open until 10:30 and they said they could serve us in that time. They were lovely and the food was delicious. Wish I could attach the screenshots of my reservation & reminder and of my phone call after we were turned away to support this review. So, there are a few good things about Tap Room, including location, it's large floor size, the amount of TV's and a large menu. Unfortunately, they have a communication issue. I called on a Sunday morning to see if they would be playing ALL NFL games on their screens. The woman who answered supposedly asked a manager who said, yes. When I arrived and asked which screens would show the game I was interested in, I was told they were only screening the Giants' game. Disappointed, I ended up leaving and literally checking every bar in five (5) block radius to finally find one playing all the games or at least NFL Red Zone. Believe it or not, I actually returned later in the day to see what they did for the 4pm games. I sat at the bar with two friends. While there were a few different games on at that point, the bar staff seemed to avoid eye contact with patrons. I tried a few times to make eye contact and politely raise my hand to ask for something and it seemed to take forever. When we did finally get the bar staff's attention, they were gone almost immediately. Mind you, the Brunch/NFL crowd had greatly diminished in size. In other words, they weren't really busy. Bottom line: I'm a reasonable guy. I call and ask when I'm in doubt. Whether you tell me "yes" or "no" I'll abide by what you say. Don't tell me yes if you can't/won't accommodate. Also, good service is paramount. I have the ability to pay but what's the point if I can't order in a reasonable amount of time? So, if you're going for regular brunch/lunch, it'll probably be fine. If you're an avid NFL fan, you're probably better off going to ANY of the other bars in the area. read more

They need to do a few things - #1 they have the worst sound system for games compared to any other bar in Huntington. This should be their strong point not their weak point. No Sunday specials outside of football season. Need to have a regular crew for games over the weekend - a lot of time even though packed no one behind bar! Staff unsocial compared to other bars in Huntington! No buybacks for regulars or any one who would recognize a regular ! Tap Room has a great location, and the space is massive. There are tables for parties of all sizes, as well as a considerably long bar with stool seating -- great for watching sports or other televised events. The food won't knock you off your feet, and in terms of authenticity, there are a number of nearby bars that offer a bit less of a generic vibe. However, if you're near the Paramount or just not particularly discerning, Tap Room isn't a bad option for the main drag in Huntington. read more

Without a doubt this was a "should've listened to the reviews" type visit. The Patchogue location has been a staple for so many of us so we figured this was a safe bet and we were excited to try this location....everything sucked from the beginning. Got there at 6:45, told 20-25min wait. Went in 30min later after seeing walk-ins getting seated and was told another 20. When the manager (or whoever he was) was pressed about letting others in only THEN were we magically seated. The service was horrible (as others have mentioned) we read that before we went so we placed our drinks and entrees immediately. The food was terrible which was surprising because having eaten at Patchogue and bay shore numerous times we've never had a bad meal. -Boneless wings: 3/5, these are usually a goto at the other locations, we actually go out of our way sometimes JUST for these. But here they were soft and bland. -Whiskey Burger:2/5, legitimately one of the worst burgers I've had in a very long time. Burnt patty, and some of the sauce congealed so it was like a taffy coating on my teeth. The bun was burnt too. -Buffalo Wrap:2/5, no Buffalo sauce (on a Buffalo wrap) and soaked in bleu cheese. The person that got this always gets this at the other locations and couldn't believe how bad it was here. Overall, all three of us left completely surprised by how bad this experience was. You guys are in a prime spot, have the name, and the space is nice and big. But there is no way this will last if things don't drastically change. It'll end up like the place they bought out. I usually don't like leaving reviews like this but literally everything beginning to end was sh*t here. None of us plan on giving it a second try and we'll stick to some of the other locations instead. You've been warned! read more

This place is magnificent! First of all the decor is so cool, and the lighting is awesome. They have TVs everywhere and it's just designed to captivate you. My server Luke was too cool, he was great. He recommended a drink for me that I enjoyed so much, I think it was called Heatwave, but don't quote me on that but it was delicious. My chicken salad was one of the best I've ever had. It was super crunchy, and fresh, super tasty as well. I'm most definitely going back very soon. A+ for this awesome spot. read more

I hate to have to say this, but Tap Room is past its prime and has fallen so far downhill. They need to move away from their franchise mentality and go back to focusing on quality and uniqueness. Tap Room was ELITE when there was only Patch, Bay Shore & MP. It didn't feel commercialized and the experience was actually extremely customer focused. Now it's as basic as Applebees's and the food is just as mediocre. They used to be know for having great elevated bar food and sandwiches. I ordered chicken fingers and they were so dry and overly deep fried.. the type of food I would expect from a bowling alley. What happened to the quality food? Idk if it was a one off experience, but their special maple honey mustard was what you used to get and I only got regular honey mustard. There used to be a DJ fri & saturday nights after any live music they had during dinner time and it was the go to spot on the weekends. Bartenders actually cared about getting to know customers and regulars and would do buybacks, etc. I know that's a nice thing to do and not the required, but they lost that community touch. If things don't change they're going to end up closing a lot of locations in a few years... If you want to watch a game and have a drink then it'll do the job, but if you're hungry definitely go eat elsewhere locally! read more

Having 3 restaurants owned by family in Huntington and my own small business I know what a bad review can do to a business and how important it is for the business to respond to someone that takes time to reach out to that business . A respectful satisfied customer will complain to the business, another to the world. Tap room NEVER addresses my issues. Check your app for the reviews and issues you ask for. Shame. We came here to watch the Knicks game and have a good time, but it turned into one of the most frustrating restaurant visits I've ever had. My friend, who is 21 years old, presented a brand new, valid ID along with a photo of her passport--and the manager still refused to serve her. Not only was he rude and dismissive, but he went so far as to accuse us of presenting a fake ID, which is completely absurd. What made things worse is that after denying service, the manager actually laughed at us from behind the bar and made a scene for absolutely no reason. It was beyond unprofessional and frankly embarrassing. To be fair, our waiter was incredibly kind and tried to make the situation better, but the manager's behavior overshadowed everything. Between the lack of respect, false accusations, and the immature, hostile attitude from management, I will never be coming back--and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who values being treated with basic decency. read more

The drinks were fabulous! We initially came here because we were hungry and intrigued by the limited summer special, the elote mussels. The concept sounded fantastic, but the execution fell short. The broth was overflowing and many of the mussels at the bottom of the bowl were still closed, so we couldn't truly enjoy them. My husband opted for the sliders, which was satisfying. I went with the hummus platter. The hummus was delicious and well-prepared, but I had a hard time finding something else on the menu that appealed to me. The food was fine but the waitress was awful. We've had the same waitress the three times me and my friends have been there and every single time she's unfriendly and unresponsive. Recently, I stopped to the TR in Huntington for lunch.The place is spacious and very clean.The bar is full and separate from the diners.If you are a sports watching there are many TVs. I had the Potato Soup and one of the several Burgers.The food is very good, they have a big menu and I had a very good Server. This place is very well managed.There is plenty parking right in the center of the town.They can handle small or large parties.If you are in the Huntington area check it out! G read more

Not sure what his name was but,our first bartender was the Best part of our night. Just went down from there. First my wife and I were watching the second shift bartenders pouring the drinks. They were pouring very light on the alcohol. Mostly ice and mixer in glass. Also we ordered food and both plates had french fries. Very greasy.Also our burger was same. Lastly service was very slow. Waited for burger at least 20 to 25 minutes. Was told kitchen was running slow. Not a very good experience.. Lastly my wife went in bathroom and had No soap. First of all, the service was not Great what so ever. The food was bland and nasty. Although the environment was cool, I honestly would rather not come back. Our waitress was no where to be found for about 15 after we finished eating and had already packed or food, we were waiting for her so we could leave. And it seemed that other people around us were also getting frustrated. The app was alright but I wasn't a big fan of the bbq. The dessert was not it, we ordered a brownie sundae thing but they gave us a big piece of a brownie that tasted like a protein bar and the ice creams consistency was kinda icy, which isn't what a sundae should be like.
