I wish I could give this place zero stars. First off, I walked in with my friend to be IGNORED by the hostess. She seated everyone around us and had the audacity to ask us to wait 20 minutes. I must say during this difficult time my favorite restaurant Applebee's continues to be my go to place for lunch or dinner. The staff is very serious about protecting their patrons as well as their staff. My car side pick up is always on time in a staples sealed bag which is handed to me by a masked, gloved friendly and very personable person. I happened to stop in one day to place an order and admired how clean the place was, and how mindful the staff is with the social distancing practices. This is when I experienced the 1 Gallon. Yes 1 Gallon !! Margaritas to go. Not to mention the Bahama Mama as well. I can't thank this particular restaurant enough for all they do. read more

On a weekday when they are not busy, it is a decent Applebee's. However...if you dare to step foot into this place on a weekend, the place is complete chaos. From the moment we walked in the hostess in charge of seating us seemed unprepared and un knowledgeable. Our server was also just as unprepared. We actually almost left the restaurant because we were ignored and not greeted for such a long time by our server. He then neglected to bring us waters after we reminded him several times. We ended up receiving our meals without waters and eating a majority of them by the time waters made it to the table. Overall the service was extremely disappointing. The food is always mediocre...one of our boneless wings were actually still partially frozen on the inside. Perhaps we visited on a very very bad day for the restaurant. So, all this aside, I would only go back there on a weekday for dessert to get their chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream...seems like the only thing they can do right. read more

Applebee's patio is now open after Covid-19. We had the most wonderful experience with the most wonderful staff. Everything is well taken care of, and all tables are 6 feet apart. At first, we did not like where we were sitting and the manager, Carl kindly helped us out and moved our table with no questions asked. He is fantastic and so friendly. He ensured all costumers felt comfortable outside. Parking.Parking is bad after 6:00 pm.So many people who want to watch sports and drink beer crowd up the parking lot.About 10% of peoples cars look like there carpooling on a trip to upstate.I also think 35% of cars are families.Overall I would give the parking 4 stars until 6:00pm,then I would give it 2.5 stars. Host.The hosts are usually these ravers in there early 20s.When you walk to the counter there usually laughing there head off.I don't know why they laugh there head off but they do.So they laugh and then they act like there a 7 year old girl seating you.So it's strange.The counter is wooden.Overall the hosts are 3 stars. Menu.There menu has a large variety of food.They have a lot salads.I don't know why but they do.Overall I would give there menu a 4 star rating. Service.You usually get a waiter.The age span is between 25-55.They ask you for your drinks first.Then they ask your food.Then they tell you the deserts,Then they give you the check.But the problem is they take 10 minutes for your drinks.A half an hour for the appetizers.Also the food takes a bonus 10 minutes.Overall I would give it 3 stars. It's Applebee's...I know going in to expect frozen food, adequate service and weak drinks. I don't expect a 5 star, or even 3 or 4 star experience. My expectations are on par for what this place is. A mediocre chain that is fairly dependable. I ordered the new mac&cheese with the chicken fingers and bacon. Heart/figure friendly, certainly not...taste bud friendly, most certainly yes. No where on the menu did it say it came with onions. I can't eat onions. Strike one. I never even tasted it, so who knows if it was taste bud friendly. I had to send it back and I ordered the fried shrimp instead. I've had it before, I haven't died or gotten sick, so I figured it was a safe choice. The outside was overly greasy (yes, it's Applebee's, I expect some grease. I don't expect tablespoons of it on my shrimp however). If that wasn't unappetizing enough, the shrimp was mushy inside. Woof. I ate 2 and couldn't do it. So my dinner that night consisted of a handful of fries and a weak frozen margarita. At least my Husband seemed to like his burger. Went to an old favorite tonight on a lot of different planes - Applebee's in the Cortlandt Town Center. Carol and I were in the CTC and thought we would grab a bite. The place was extremely busy, but we were given a pleasant hello from the hostess as we headed to the bar. We were immediately greeted by Lani as we settled down into a couple of freshly opened seats. We ordered some drinks and settled in to watch a great football game between the Saints and the 49ers, My Perfect Margarita was done just right. it was icy cold and smooth with a perfectly salted rim. Carol's Chardonnay was well chilled and in a sparkling clean glass. We opted for some appetizers to pick at as they were half price during the game. Sliders, Crispy Chicken Tacos and a 20 piece wings - half hot buffalo and half sweet and spicy Asian. Food was served quickly with nice plate appeal and presentation, especially considering how busy the restaurant was. Sliders were very good, but had a very doughy bun. Chicken Tacos were a huge surprise as we never had them before and really loved them. You could taste the mixture of flavors and there was a nice finish of fresh cilantro that really added to the flavor. As for the wings, I must say that after all of these years eating wings (I became hooked back in 1983). Applebee's has possibly the best Buffalo wing I have had to date. I even enjoyed the non traditional Asian wings that I ordered for Carol, but ended up eating more than half. When I went into the restroom, it was in pretty good shape considering the business, but needed a little maintenance. As I was leaving to go back to my seat it looked like some maintenance was happening in the ladies room. The floors of the restaurant were clean as were the entrance and exit for the kitchen. The bar was well maintained and all drinks were served quickly and expertly in clean fresh glasses. When we needed our check, it was immediately presented and processed within a minute of placing my credit card on the bar. While we stayed to watch the end of the game, my water glass was topped off for me even though we were no longer "on the clock" as customers. read more

Meet BUGSY, this is the head of a 2 inch bug cover in salad dressing found in my wifes salad on Feb 21, 2018. The manager did say "Sorry, they must not have cleaned the salad" what else did they not clean? Be very careful what eat there, or even better, just DONT eat there! Beware! Disappointed with my visit to Applebee's this evening, found both bartender and manager rude and condescending. Ordered quesadillas off the happy hour menu- initially received wrong items and when I received item there was not enough sour cream or salsa for the 8-9 portions. I was informed that there would be an extra fee, and I said that if you are going to charge an additional fee you should supply enough in the first instance. Unfortunately this is the only restaurant in the same plaza as the movie theater so I assume that they really do not need to care about the customer experience. read more

I can't recommend this restaurant. I've had two failed attempts to eat and enjoy the meal within a 2 week period. The first attempt was a simple medium rare hamburger. It came out medium well. The second meal was sent back twice! I decided that I just shouldn't eat here anymore. The manager did nothing to keep my business. Went into Applebee's with my family. There were 5 of us and were seated at a high top table right next to where the hostess stands. We are seated at 7:50pm, and after 20 minutes, no one even came over to ask for what drinks we would like. We left and ended up going to Moe's. I have never had this bad of an experience at an Applebee's. Usually they are good, but this service was atrocious. Several of the staff walked by us, and not once did they even look at us. Came here on my son's whim. I, personally, am not a fan of Applebee's. The menu has changed quite a bit, the prices are a lot higher than they were, food is still not quality but what was amazing was our server, Trimmel I. I ordered my steak medium-well but more on the well side. My steak came out undercooked & Trimmel actually took the time & cared enough to bring it back to the kitchen to have them correct it without my having to ask. He was also very attentive, expeditious with the service, knowledgeable of the menu & polite. It was the first time I had such amazing service at ANY Applebee's!!!! I had to leave the review for him because people either rave or trash a place but it's rare when exceptional service is rendered to recognize the person working hard to make someone's meal an enjoyable experience. I do not usually go out of my way to have Applebee's because the food is hit or miss each time. New Year's Eve I bought the southwestern steak salad with delicious chimichurri sauce carside to go. I got a reasonable amount of food, steak, dressing, and sauce with this purchase. Worth the $18. I spent three days craving the chimichurri so caved and got it again this week. This time I got home and opened my salad and was beyond disappointed. I spent $18 on half the size of the last one and they forgot to add the chimichurri (the only reason I went there in the first place). I was supper annoyed that I drove out of my way after a long day's work then 20 min home to discover this pathetic salad and lack of sauce. My husband got the Chicken Fajita Roll Up and he got barely any chicken. It was a flavorless wrap filled with cheese and onions basically. Out of all the times I came here.... We had both a terrible meal (Chicken Fajita if you want to call it that) if you could call it that and horrible customer service. You could barely detect the bits of chicken surrounded by mounds of cheese. We ordered something that was only a special during the week and was never told it was a weekday special. We were charged an extra $5 each for a little salad. The waitress never said anything to us until she presented us with the bill. We paid it but decided to contact them to let them know that the server should have let us know in advance. The meal was not worth the $34 we paid for it. The company contacted me and apologized and said I would be contacted by someone from the manager of the restaurant. Never heard a word back. Overpriced and underwhelmed.!!! Placed an order through Grubhub (first and last time trying this), got an eta for about 45 mins later. The eta changed 4 more times then when I contacted them they told me it would be here in under 15 mins. Literally about a minute later I got an email notification from Grubhub that my order was cancelled (not by me) with no explanation at all. Then they stopped responding to my communications when I tried to find out who cancelled my order and why. The cancellation notification had the nerve to say it could take 5-10 business days for my account to be credited. Still don't know if it was Applebee's fault or Grubhub's or both. So my daughter and I and granddaughter were out shopping we decided being it's close to stop at Applebee's we sit down and noticed the menu has completely changed which was not a problem but their prices went up a good amount I ordered chicken tenders platter my daughter had a salad and my granddaughter had the grilled cheese for kids it first started off with The plate they serve to grill cheese had old catchup on it we knew we were in a hurry and still have to eat so we took the french fries off the plate and pushed it aside my chicken tenders came out just a little warm not even hot and dry every time I go to this Applebee's it's never any good and I don't know why I keep coming back The waiter was very nice he asked if I wanted to see a manager and I said no but just let them know that they should clean the plates better before they come out to a customer read more

Applebee's food is OK for chain food. What is annoying is that on more than one visit they bring your dinner almost immediately after the appetizers. That happed Sunday night, and the surprising part, it was late and not even busy. Must be two different cooks who don't talk to each other, racing to get their work done. This restaurant seems to have gone downhill in the last year or so. We used to eat there and enjoy it. The last time was the worst. I usually order fiesta lime chicken and it came out of the kitchen not looking at all what I used to get, much of the dish was missing.. my friend could not eat her steak salad. When I emailed corporate, I got a call from the manager who seemed to want to blame me for the incident. Oh man I used to really hate Applebee's I don't know why but this year I started going every 2 weeks vs only twice since I was born. Every Applebee's I go to deserves at least 3 stars or more, this being my local one.. I love service, very quick, they only made a mistake on an order once they gave me kids meal chicken tenders at the end they fixed it and gave me both the kids and the adult size plate (no charge for the kids meal) plus as a 27 year old I took it as a compliment they probably thought I was a kid. I came here yesterday with my friend around 1pm. We waited about 15 minutes for someone to even come to our table and ask for drink orders. We spent the morning unpacking and running errands and we were hungry and thirsty. We watched a male waiter(the one who sat us) texting on his phone. We watched "sam puff" eating behind the bar. And we watched another gal with long hair and glasses texting. It wasn't dead and it wasn't packed but more so in between. The bartender "Theresa, the neighborhood expert" finally came to take our drink order. We got our food order in quickly too , not really sure how long we would have to wait if we didn't. We got our food in a timely manner but as eating we overheard Theresa bad talk a couple of customers, one who would put his feet up on the couches and eat garlic and one lady who "has the big tits". I'm sure the men at the bar loved to hear the stories but me and my friend did not want to hear about smelly feet on the exact couches we were sitting on and how a lady has big tits. After waiting for 15 minutes to even be acknowledged about how our meal was going I guess she got the hint. She started to come to our table stopped halfway and shouted do you need some boxes and after a nod and getting ready to ask her for a Togo order she turned around. She never made it fully to the table and I decided I did not want to wait any longer. I asked for the check not realizing they had those computers on the tables like chilis. I said "oh we're going to pay cash hold on 1 sec" she just turned and went back to the bar. I get better service when it's short staffed on a busy Friday night. The service there is consistently appalling! I ordered a simple Piña Colada and waited 25min to get it at which point I was parched and realized it was not frozen nor did it have alcohol. I sent it back thinking ok simple mistake let me give her the benefit of the doubt, after 23min it came back unfrozen and again NO alcohol I was apprehensive at this point thinking for sure it may come back third time tainted! The waitress insisted she would take care of it she passed my table a total of 4 times without my drink I Was frustrated at this point and she came noticed I was trying to wave her down at which point she came with the drink. I gave her my food order to wait 25 minutes in addition to the previous order. She came back with a bourbon chicken that looked deep fried several times in old oil that tasted very bad. I was famished at this point and disappointed and asked my lunch date to taste and confirm what I thought and she confirmed it and she is a NYC food inspector/chef. I sent it back I ordered the oriental chicken with grilled chicken as an alternative after a 15min wait the waiter (someone totally different from my waitress) came with fried chicken oriental salad I explained I was leaving and why and my waitress came out with a different dish which was my order. I was charged regular price almost $15.00 for what looked like a kids meal and I was not even compensated for the aggravation instead I was slapped with a bill that was astronomical for the worst experience at Applebee's ever!!! I will NEVER recommend anyone to go eat there!!! The oil is old the service is horrific and the customer is left with a ridiculous bill and a bad experience!!! My first instinct was to go across to Mc Donald's and I should've followed it!!! They are better at this point than Applebee's in Mohegan Lake NY!!! read more
