Applebee's in Mustang, Ok. was bought by some unknown idiot that had no idea of what they were doing! First they had no liqueur license for at least 3 to 4 months! Then, when they got one they raised the price of draft beer over 25%! Never would I have chosen to eat at an Applebee's when there are so many good eats in the area. My experience at an Applebee's was around 20 years ago when I was in the USA for a holiday and I was not impressed, however, the husband picked this particular Applebee's today because he was craving their quesadilla burger which he hadn't had in years. He kept going on about how he remembers it being really tasty. We were the first patrons of the day as we waited patiently at the door literally 2 minutes before opening time and were absolutely famished as we've had a super early start to our day. The staff welcomed us with a smile and our server was pleasantly attentive and bubbly. There's a limited time special of 5 pieces of boneless chicken wings for $1 with an order of any of their burger. The little oink that I am jumped at the deal as we both ordered a quesadilla burger (I was copying the husband). Our food came out promptly and they were unexpectedly delicious! Today was not a good experience at Mustang Applebees. All the servers looked and acted irritated to be there. The food was slow to be served, and was mediocre at best. The manager did take care of our bill, so I give a thumbs up for that. The restaurant itself is in need of an update. Some of the tables are worn and the booth seats sag. We will not be back for quite awhile. We have so few restaurants in Mustang, we will try again at a later time read more

We had a gift card for Applebees. Went to the Oklahoma City location and were very disappointed. The restaurant was not busy at all. We had to wait to get seated and were very disappointed with the service. We saw the hostess peek around to see if there were any customers and she was eating something. We witnessed 3 tables walk out for lack of service while we were waiting for our drinks. The food was mediocre at best and we will not be returning. read more

Waitress was very sweet and attentive while serving or addressing my table. The kitchen staff are apparently incredibly incapable of managing their workload. We asked for our check after two hours of being seated and only 70% of the meal was delivered to us. Personally I will not be returning here voluntarily. read more

(And I hate potatoe soup....as much as I hate boiled spinach--its a big hate) Caesar salad: This is the first eatablishment to put the perfect amount of dressing per vegetables (I normally ask for it on the side and forgot to this time)! Most places drown the salad in dressing (Yuk). 6oz top sirloin: (ordered medium temp) perfectly cooked and the knife seemed to melt through it. I have never been to any Applebees like this one! First off it's dirty!!!!!! Food portions are half the size of the plates Daughters food sat in the warming station so long the noodles were hard. The server tried charging us $2.99 for a kid's lemonade and when I asked him about it he told me it was because he put it in an adult glass.... WHAT?!?!?! You don't get to charge for adult drink sizes on a kids meal just because you're too lazy to refill the drink; which we had to wait 10 minutes for him to do anyway. Service was not good at all, we waited for at least 30 mins just for drinks and even longer for our food. I wanted the riblets and they didn't have any sauce to go on any of the wings or ribs because of the all you can eat wings, they didn't have the stuff to make a blue raspberry lemonade and we had to ask for silverware just to get some with 2 napkins for 4 people. The Applebee's near us closed a couple months ago, so we were excited when we discovered this one close to the baseball fields. We walked in, discovered several familiar faces, and enjoyed visiting with old friends. Lucas, at the bar, was friendly and efficient with our drink and food orders. We ordered our old favorites, French Onion Soup, Oriental Chicken Salad, and Cedar Grilled Lemon Chicken. They were a welcome reminder of the good times at our former location. This is the second time I've been here and I really wanted to give them a good review but it's just mediocre at best. I had a burger and you would think they wouldn't be so stingy with the lettuce, tomato and onion for the price they charge. We live in Mustang and have been to this restaurant many times and have been pleased. Not today. We took my mother and granddaughters for lunch after church. We were seated in the bar area. The wait staff was less than attentive. The item I asked for wasn't available, which I feel should have been told up front. Once we ordered, our appetizers came pretty fast. But with 5 of us, there should have been plates brought. We had to ask for them, then it took forever to get them to us. Then we were offered extra chips, which didn't come until AFTER our entrees came. We waited over 30 minutes for our meals! The waitress never kept us abreast as to why our food was delayed. She was attentive only after realizing we were upset. The food, which is usually very good was mediocre at best! I went to eat at applebees in mustang and when we got there we were seated really quick and then our server came over to us and said the cook was having a mental breakdown and it's going to take a minute before they can take our order. we were very patient and was fine with just getting our drinks. when our food came out all of our noodles were cold. my husband ordered a full rack of ribs and the server didn't bring those out so we had to wait for the ribs and that took another 15-20 minutes before that came out. we would go some time without seeing our waiter and we noticed they were filming themselves or just standing and talking to the other staff member. I've been to this location a few times recently. The service has always been adequate. I hadn't been to Applebee's since the revamp, but I am pleasantly surprised at the new menu. I think the nachos are the best "chain store" nachos I've ever had. I've yet to be disappointed by the food. They use strip tortilla chips for nachos and dipping. That's huge to me! read more

We have been going to this one single Applebee's location for several years now. Whenever we want a good steak in Mustang, OK we head here. Only twice in 5 years have we had a sub-par steak and sub-par ribs. I give it 4 stars because the were very few missteps, but overall highly recommend this place. read more

I tried really really hard to like this place and I just can't. I'm giving it two stars because the service has always been relatively good but the food is just not good. Every time we have come our orders have been wrong, missing an order or cold. It's a shame because it's one of the only restaurants in town and I'm sure they'd get way more business. One time we came and my daughter never got her kids meal. Then after the second time asking where it was it came out cold and missing her side item; meanwhile we were all almost done eating. I ordered salmon another time and it came out extremely under cooked so I sent it back and it came out burnt. We have gotten their mozzarella sticks almost every time and they come out cold which is very disappointing. We have mentioned it to the manager the times we have been and they of course apologize but that is all. When your feeding 6 it's not cheap either especially for the food to come out wrong or missing. But it is always clean and the staff always has a smile on their face. Yikes. Well, not great. The customer service was very good and my specialty drink was was great as well. It kind of ended there. Our potstickers were sad and dry/doughy. It was like someone had forgotten to actually fry them. My rare burger came out well done and falling apart. It looked like someone had hacked it up and tried to mush it back together. Totally weird. First I gotta say I HATED applebees (notice past tense) , but, since the change in menu I have to say, applebees has stepped up their game. I personally enjoy the handhelds, and since they aren't really a steak house I can't penalize them for their okay but not wonderful steaks.
