Traveling through Oklahoma and usually a big fan of BJ's Brewhouse, so we stopped at the Oklahoma City location for a late lunch around 2:30 PM. The restaurant was only about 25% full, so we expected a quick and easy seating. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We stood at the hostess stand for several minutes while one hostess was clearly occupied on her phone and two others were chatting behind the stand. Eventually, one of them turned--not to help us--but to ask another group of six if they had been helped yet. Of course they hadn't...they were standing there waiting like we were. That group was told they could take a high-top in the bar area or face a 20-30 minute wait. When it was our turn (party of two), we were given the same answer: 20-30 minutes. This made no sense given the number of open tables and the fact that I counted around eight staff members standing around, with only a couple appearing to actually be working. I understand staffing challenges and wait times when a place is busy--but this wasn't that. This felt like a lack of urgency and, frankly, a lack of care. The message we got was: "We're not too concerned whether you eat here or not." That's unacceptable. We left and went across the street to Ted's instead--completely different experience. They were packed, yet the service, food, and overall atmosphere were outstanding from the moment we walked in. Went here on 7/17/26. I love the pizookie . The food is really mid. I went and got the $13 meal and pizookie. I chose the personal pizza and house salad deal. First off , I was terrified to eat the salad cuz of the diarrhea lettuce. I took a few bites, it was decent, nothing special. I just couldn't get past having lettuce at a time like this . I ordered the combo pizza. It was good but poorly put together. I guess because it's so small it's hard to cut into little slices or for the toppings to stay on. The toppings kept falling off or pulling off when I grabbed a mini slice. I hate when my pizza does that. My mom got a burger that looked good. She said it was okay, no real flavor. My SIL got the pretzel appetizer. It was good. Our waitress wasn't the best. She had little to no personality and I'm pretty sure she kinda yelled at me thinking I was asking to substitute something that I was not. Every time something was brought to the table they would sit it at the edge of the table. I don't know if they don't give the person that asked for ketchup and mustard to avoid reaching across the table. But it was rude how my mom is sitting on the inside and she's the only person with fries and the ketchup is sat on the opposite end of her. My SIL had to ask for water refill twice. I mean tbh the service really sucked. It wasn't the best experience with the bad service and mid food. We did eat outside because it was evening and not too hot. Nice place, pretty big menu with specials. We came at a time not busy. Hostess asked if a high top was ok. I said no it makes my feet go to sleep. Then she asked if table ok. I said yes but perfer a booth. Don't think she was happy but they have plenty of them. We were sat at a round booth and it was very comfortable for us, 3 adults. Husband and I both Ordered Baked Ziti and it's so good. Has plenty of meat and cheese. Daughter had a chicken meal, but was just ok. I have been to the BJ's in Norman, this one seems to be more spacious and open. Needs a few little updates inside. Our server was very helpful and nice, he did a solid job all around. Biggest issue was the execution of the food, I tried a little bit of everyone's food in my party and just could have been seasoned better. Mashed potatoes seemed from a box, Marinara tasted like it was from a jar, maybe even the Alfredo too. At almost $20 a plate, the food should match the price and it seemed to come short. read more

I had the protein bowl with chicken. While I asked for blackened chicken, I didn't get a lot of spice but it was grilled well. I would definitely do the protein bowl again. I know the avocado eggrolls have a following, but I honestly wasn't a big fan. They offer a lunch special which comes with a Pizookie. I had no idea what that was but everyone else at our table is in love with them and ordered one of the lunches that included this dessert. Ordered the fettuccine alfredo, along with the $35 meal deal for Saturday which comes with a salad (got the caesar), two sides (we got the chili and mashed potatoes), prime rib, and a pizookie of your choose. Ultimately the best part of the BJ's experience will always be the "pizookie" and for good reason. If you're looking for a good date night, get-together area, or value for your buck then this is a great option. read more

Despite my bad experience I had to go back to BJs. Their pazookies always deserve a second chance. We decided to get a pepperoni flat bread and the chocolate chunk pazookie. Amazing. The pazookie was perfection. We did not take it to go. We ordered it to eat at our table. Also, that flat bread. Yooooooo. That was so good! I will 100% be back to get a flatbread again. So good. Waitress was fast and very kind. Appreciate that management cares about their restaurants and wants to take care of their customers. We came in at 400 pm as a party of a bunch of employees standing around and two customers at the bar and that is it yet they said they couldn't seat us in the empty restaurant because they had to wait on the one, yes one waitress to come in before they could seat us. I asked to see the manager after 30 minutes and he too told me the same story that they found let seat up until their one waitress came in. What a bunch of incompetent people! Do they even have a manager? Does anyone work there that has pride in what they do? From the front door, to the table, to the bathroom your shoes stick to the floor. It's wild, go there and experience how little they care. I went, because I love deep dish and the internet said they have deep dish. Truthfully, It's the thickness of a DiGiorno pizza but they plate it in a deep dish pan because they don't value quality or integrity or your business. The picture on their website is 3x thicker than what you get... but I digress.. Yes, the food is terrible. Wildly bad at that. Yes, they know why the place is only half seated at 7pm on a Saturday. I ate one slice of salt-lick pizza, my wife picked at her chicken that tasted like freezer burn or left out too long or just some sort of weird, the Mac and Cheese balls are better described as sad mushy pancakes, the salad was so over dressed it was like eating miracle whip, and not once in my entire life have I ever thought a salad could be so drenched in dressing it was inedible but here I am. As the full plates went back to the dumpster the server just seemed immune to it, she had one other table and bringing Parmesan or pepper with the pizza before the end of the meal apparently wasn't an option. As I heard her feet sticking to the floor as she walked away, I prayed those red lobster people were in the process of closing the doors on BJs as well. Good riddance. If they have a manger, they are absolutely useless. You can have a person who leaves a bad review because they don't like your cheeseburger or say your "deep dish" pizza is a total mirage marketing scam, but they 100% can't not notice that you stick to the effing floor everywhere you go unless they just don't care anymore. Stupidly overpriced and horribly under delivered. Update: I'm not looking for anything and I don't want anything so let the cut and paste response from the business owner reinforce everything I highlighted in my review. The building smelled like old dirty water. The service was Ok, the waitress seemed confused. The happy hour is only for the bar and not the restaurant. The booths were dirty the tables were sticky. Over priced for the food you received, it was OK at best. The menu is way too large. Sad thing is, is it use to be one of my favourite places to go. I will never step foot in here again. This trip to BJ'S comes courtesy of having to make a trip to see a friend's business. Before we landed at BJ'S for lupper, the hubby surprised me with a trip to the OKC Outlets and Vera Bradley. After that trip came out to the car, and got in, with both of us being hungry, sat for a minute and scrolled as to what was around in the area. After scrolling a bit, and talking it over we looked through the passenger's side front window and saw in the lot next door there was BJ'S Brewhouse and another well known restaurant. We looked at each other and said," Let's go to BJ'S" after previewing the menu in the car. So I told my husband, what are we doing just sitting here? Let's get over there!" He started the car, and we made our way to BJ'S for lupper before heading home to Muskogee. I liked the lay out of this location better vs the other locations in OKC. We got seated, our drink order was taken(I got a Pink Cadillac and water, the hubby got a sweet tea). When i got back to the table after a pit stop to the little ladies room( that first stall toilet paper needed to be locked down by the way), the hubby and I took a look at the menu and finally came to a decision on our meal. For my husband he picked out the cous cous mac n cheese balls with dipping sauce(everything was delicious.One sauce had a bit of a kick though), his entree was the deep dish baked ziti with a garlic bread roll. I decided on the strawberry fields salad from the gluten sensitive options( the chicken was on point. It did not have the consistency of shoe leather, it was perfectly moist and well seasoned). This salad had sweet pecans, blue cheese crumbles, mandarin orange slices, fresh strawberries, and a lovely vinaigrette dressing(this could be the garden of the who needs a man club.Very refreshing after a long day). For dessert we had the pizookie trio(triple chocolate, gluten free chocolate chip, and strawberry shortcake style, we're our choices. Each with a scoop of ice cream we shared(One was chocolate with chocolate chip minis, one vanilla bean, one with vanilla bean and fresh sliced strawberries). We did have some leftovers to bring home. While we were there people were watching games on the tv's thst were around the restaurant. We actually had a great time for the time we arrived. A Disappointing Steak Experience at BJ's Brewhouse I recently visited BJ's Brewhouse and ordered the 8oz sirloin, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing cuts of meat I've ever been served. The presentation was terrible, looking like it had just been tossed on the plate. When I started to cut into it, I quickly realized most of the steak was inedible. It was absolutely riddled with fat, so much so that I'd estimate only about two ounces of the entire 8oz portion were actual, edible meat. What little I could salvage tasted alright, but it was a struggle to even cut through the steak due to all the gristle. For a sirloin, I expected much better quality. This experience definitely makes me hesitant to order a steak from BJ's again. read more

We had a good time at BJ's! We weren't able to make reservations where we wanted to go and the wait was too long so we decided to go to BJs. I've been to a couple other locations and it's always been consistently good. Huge portions, really nice service and prompt to boot! The only drawback was how dark it was, we were laughing about having to use our phones to look at the menu, while seeing almost every other table doing the same! Seems like the staff & management would notice this and turn the lights up a bit, but even after making a little comment about it, no changes. Spinach dip to share... salad, prime rib, baked potato and a pizzookie! That's WAY too much food for one person! Holy moly! My husband and I have dined at several BJ's locations across the US and have got to say this was the best experience we have had not just with BJ's restaurant but overall. Jennifer was our server this evening. She greeted us with a smile and introduced herself. My husband and I asked for extra paper napkins as we were both struggling with our allergies today. Jennifer made us feel important by going above and beyond. Instead of just providing us with paper napkins which we still would have been thankful for, she saw how red my husbands nose was from wiping his nose and she went and got a brand new box of puffs Kleenex from her car for him. She was empathetic and said "I know what that's like and I don't want you tearing up your nose with rough napkins that will just make your nose worse." This gesture was extremely caring and thoughtful of Jennifer. We will happily come back to see her. If you're dining here, please ask for Jennifer. She is amazing! read more

Here's the thing, the visit started off awesome on a Friday night. Immediately sat at 730 with a group of three at one of the round booths. Waited about five minutes to be greeted. Ordered beers and an appetizer. My buddy ordered a medium rare prime rib... see the pic below... yeah... that. I ordered the jambalaya that was warm adjacent. The flavors were amazing with the jambalaya but it was too cold to really enjoy. Our server was landed with a couple big tops, so, his service was what it could be with the amount of customers he was handling at once. Not "bad" service. Not "good" food.
