This was a very frustrating visit. The customer service was extremely poor. The waitresses spent most of their time engaging with one table while other paying customers, including myself, were barely checked on. What made it worse was seeing the manager sitting at a back table eating and talking with several waiters instead of ensuring guests were being taken care of. Leadership should set the tone, and that definitely did not happen during my visit. I was seated near two other tables with paying customers, and we were all being overlooked while staff stood around talking. That's unacceptable in any restaurant. On Friday, November 21st at 2:00 pm, I went with a friend to celebrate his birthday. Good steaks, beers, and friendly service. The bill was US$105.85; I paid with my debit card and we left a US$20 tip in cash. Later at home, I realized I hadn't picked up my card from the bill holder and returned early Sunday morning to look for it. After waiting about 10 minutes, I was informed that it wasn't there and they hadn't found it among the forgotten items, so I assumed it had fallen somewhere else and immediately requested a cancellation and replacement from Chase. Yesterday, Monday, while checking my accounts, I found that the charge for Friday's purchase had increased by US$30.00. So my card charge went up to US$135.85. In short: $105.85 for the meal, plus a $20 cash tip and a $30 unauthorized surcharge--that was the summary of Friday's lunch. I filed a complaint with my bank, and I don't know how long it will take to resolve. What I do know is that I left with a terrible impression of the staff there, and I don't plan on returning. Just once I would like to come here and have a positive experience. Only half full. Got my beer and then sat 20 minutes before I happened to catch the eye of the bartender who couldn't seem to drag her eyes from her phone. I have come here a couple of times a year since they have opened. Probably my fault. If the bartenders are attentive and friendly then the food sucks. If the food is good the bartenders are not. We'll I finally ordered and will wait and see. I was pleased when they announced they were opening here and with no exception every visit is a disappointment. The only redeeming feature of the place is the double stacked brisket nachos which I order about half the time, mainly because they are very hard to screw up. I would post a picture of the bartender on her phone from behind which is what I spent the time seeing for the majority of my visit but the post doesn't allow it. And just in case I have sat at a table or booth about 1/3 the time and it was the same. We went to Twin Peaks because it was 10:00 at night and the only place open at that time. There was hardly anyone there but the servers were still very nice for it to be so late at night. It is a manly rustic vibe with a focus on beer and bodies. I don't mind it but if you are shy and don't like to see skin, this is not the place for you. People do bring their family and kids but be aware of small shirts and short shorts. The food was okay. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and my husband ordered the chicken fried steak. My chicken fried chicken was very tasty and flavorful. My husbands chicken fried steak was also tasty but our sides were not so good. The tacos came out colder than an ice box. Chicken fried chicken meal was a disappointment the mashed potatoes and veggies cold too. I almost thought they just took the food out the freezer, thawed it out then served it. I told the waitress about the cold food, she got a manger. The manager seemed a little defensive. As if people come into the establishment to complain. Instead of talking I asked her to feel my food, she was a little hesitant at first. After she touched the food her attitude changed!
