We had a party of 6 and were deciding between this spot an Red Robin. The place was super quiet when he arrived...I almost felt like we were interrupting something. We placed our drink order and was told that our waitress would be with us shortly. Unfortunately that never happened, so the hostess came back after about 10 minutes to take our order. The place was not that crowded, however it clearly looked like they only had two to three people working---this was a Sunday afternoon. After we placed our order, the wait began again, and continued and continued and continued. I can understand if we had ordered some extravagant meal--however, riblets, chicken fingers, and tacos is not that hard to prepare. Across the highway are two gas stations...I literally left (family still at the restaurant) went across the street---filled up my suv, and came back to the restaurant and the food still had not arrived. We had ordered an appetizer of mozzarella sticks for my ten year old --thinking an appetizer order would, naturally come out faster than the entrees. About 10 minutes later...one of three servers brought up 7 small plates for the appetizer we ordered. Now I can see if we had ordered multiple appetizers and our party of 6 were all about to share---but we didn't. We ordered one appetizer of mozzarella sticks for my ten year old---why we were given 7 plates is beyond me---were we each going to place one mozzarella stick on the plate? Anyway the food finally came out, it was hard for the waitress to find a place to place the food because no one ever took away the cups whenever we received a refill of water or tea. At one point we had a total of 16 cups on our table....smh. Management needs to seriously overhaul this service, especially with all the other choices around this restaurant. My ONLY positive thing to say about my experience here was that it was extremely easy to find a parking spot. read more

Don't go here the service is subpar but the food is worse! I ordered a Togo for them to give me the wrong food, when that was fixed the food was burnt and cold. Ordered a grilled chicken salad could not eat that the chicken was so tough my neighbors dog would not even eat it! Their slogan may be the eating us good in the neighborhood but not here, I don't understand how you mess up a salad, a burger and a pasta dish. Traveling...again...surprise surprise right??? While driving from Columbus GA to the airport, this Applebees was right off the highway and close enough to not have to worry about leaving so soon to catch my flight. I sat at the bar, per usual, but we all know this already... Michelle J. was my bartender... my goodness talk about SWEET! And she's beautiful! She was helpful, attentive and very kind! I cannot speak the servers or anything else about this establishment. I ordered soup and an appetizer. Food is always good at Applebees. While I try to avoid chains while traveling and to try something local, today I was hungry and it was close... and ya know what, it was consistent. Thank you Michelle for your excellent service! Bad choice to go to Applebee's tonight. Won't be back. A/C was working in half of the restaurant. They closed the cooler side of the restaurant and sat everyone on the muggy and hot side. My food came out over cooked and dry. Chicken is just about the easiest piece of meat to cook. The music was loud and sounded like they were running a night club. The patron at the table next to us decided to plug her phone in right next to my daughter and check it every 2 minutes. Low class restaurant and low class patrons next to us. We won't be back. Horrible service!!! I had to wait twenty minutes past the quoted time for my to go order and the take out person gave me attitude when I asked when my order would be ready. My order was missing both the French onion soup and artichoke dip which I paid for. When I noticed the items were missing, the manager said they were out of the French onion soup and it would take too long for her to give me my money back so I should just pick out another item at the same price. I've been in restaurant management and was shocked that the manager of this restaurant wasn't going to refund my money for items that I did not receive and never offered an apology of any kind! I came with my little 1 and ran into some confusion. Lets just say Tre the bar tender went above and beyond to take care of me and my Son. He came from behind the bar after taking care of his Customers to take care of us. I was so impressed. Also the waitress Seleste took care of us at the end and she made sure I was satisfied. Arrived for our evening meal while traveling north on Rte 85. Very few diners should warned us about the quality of the food. We were promptly seated and waited on. My wife used the restroom and told me how unkempt it was with water on the floor and generally messy. My wife ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Her salmon was hot but the potatoes and broccoli were cold. I had the fish and chips. They were hot and tasty. Applebee's has been deleted from our list of dining restaurants. read more

Never, I repeat..never..go to this applebees on a late Saturday night. Its basically a nightclub for the teens and young adults of Newnan. My husband and I are both very hard working people with an 8 month old baby so basically we haven't had a date night in 8 + months! We picked last night 2/24 to take advantage of a movie, then grab a bite to eat. At midnight, not many restaurants in Newnan are still open so we chose Applebee. Safe choice right? Wrong! Our first red flag was as we walked in, they were blasting Cardi B on their surround sound speakers. The place was filled with drunk patrons between 21 and...21? Ok fine, let's mind our business and order our food. What could go wrong. My husband ordered a full slab of ribs with a house salad and I ordered a Cesar salad add chicken. The waitress proceeds to warn me that with chicken, the salad will cost me $8. Ok fine, add chicken please. She goes in the back then comes back to say to my husband "hey are sure you don't want the half slab and just do a 2 for $25 special? It'll be cheaper" My husband and I looked at each other and without protest, he agreed. Obviously they were out of full slabs in the kitchen. During our 45 min wait for our salad(which was missing my chicken BTW), the party at the table behind us felt it was the perfect time to goof off and throw things at each other. At one point flying past and only inches away from hitting me. At that point I'm livid..I mean how obnoxious! I asked to speak with the manager and explained that we were being disturbed by the kids at the table behind us. That they almost hit me with a hard object! He assured me that he'd go and handle it. This is how their conversation went.. Mgr: hey guys do you need anything? Drunk kids: yes silverware Mgr: ok, you got it. Seriously!? At the point the manager walks away and they started throwing things once again. I was finally fed up and approached them myself to calmly explain that if ANYTHING were to hit me there would be a problem and that they owe me an apology. They apologized. Finally after an hour and a half our food came and the waitress apologized for the wait time claiming a chef walked out on the job and there was only one cook working. Understandable. Just bring us a to go box and we'll take it to the house. Needless to say, we'll never eat at Applebees again read more

Planning a dinner-and-a-movie date with the hubby yesterday, we decided to venture over to Newnan and check out their (relatively) new theatre and use an Applebee's gift card we were given in the hopes that it wouldn't be such a disaster as the Applebee's in Fayetteville always is. SO much better! Of course the menu is the menu, but the food was very good and the service was excellent. We selected from their 2 for $20 menu which is one appetizer to split and 2 entrees. We also added a salad and bowl of French onion soup, respectively, and I had a glass of wine, so a $35 tab at the end was not bad at all. Plus we had lunch for both of us for today left over. My husband, who is a connoissseur of such things, declares the onion soup to be one of the best. We both enjoyed the chicken penne pasta and the salad was fresh and crisp. All in all, quite a nice meal! Next time we're in the mood for Applebees, we will definately make the 30 mninute drive to this location and skip the one 5 minutes down the road :-) read more

First time here and also our last. Went in for a couple of drinks, sitting at the bar. We were the only 2 sitting at the bar, but the bartender, Joey, seemed to have a rough time juggling us and the tables he had in the restaurant. Why he had tables not in the bar, I'm not sure. We waited for a while for our check, then when we finally got it we were charged the wrong amount. Which this again took a while to get resolved due to him being too busy with his few tables. Not coming back to this location and hoping no further action will come from getting charged the incorrect amount and it being corrected. Seemed to need more help for a Tuesday afternoon. read more

Applebees is my go-to spot for a quick date night. I've been to the Applebees on 2728 Spring Road near Cumberland and thoroughly enjoyed my food and the service there. On Friday night we went to this Applebees in Newnan. We were expecting it to be full considering it was a Friday night but once we entered the restaurant we could see a good number of open tables and booths, not empty but not full either. So we were seated and then waited between 6 to 7 minutes for our server to come over. Ok, taking a bit long but we weren't in a rush. Finally she comes and takes our drink orders and then leaves. No utensils were provided but more on that in a minute. After another 7 minute wait she comes back with our drinks ($1 Long Island Ice Tea and a strawberry frozen alcoholic drink that I can't remember.) The strawberry drink had 4 large chunks of frozen ice and had no taste of alcohol whatsoever. Now I'm not interested in getting drunk but if I wanted a strawberry slushee I could get that at a gas station. So we exchanged that and requested one of the martinis instead. More on that later too. We got the 2 for 25 and requested wings for an appetizer and the three cheese penne and half ribs for entree. The wings came and while they were great we had no utensils or napkins and our server only came by when the food items were ready. Not once did she or any manager walk by to check in and see if everything was ok. Not asking for special treatment at all but every Applebees I've been to, the Texas Roadhouse just down the street and most good places the server at least checks in on you and the managers come by even when the place is packed. Anyhow the meals came ( still waiting on the replacement martini for 20 minutes now), we had to ask for our utensils and then by the time we got to eating, the three cheese penne was slightly cold. The ribs and sides were great so that's one plus. Now the martini arrives and of course they ran out of strainers so I had to drink it with all the entrails from the lime etc in the drink; ok not turned off by that I went ahead and drank it but it was fresh as hell! Remember, the server never came by unless she was dropping off items at our table or the tables near us. We decided to forgo dessert and just paid our bill, left a tip and walked out without one person, (the hostess was apparently more interested in her conversation than the guests) saying thanks for coming. Yeah, we won't be back to this one. I'm leaving two stars because the wings, the penne (albeit cold) and the ribs were tasty and filling. The service and wait times with a restaurant that was barely half full was atrocious. read more

At one point in the 90s, this might have been Newnan's best place to eat... but food quality and service jumped off a cliff about the time the economy collapsed. The girls and I went to Applebee's for lunch from the office there weren't many people in the restaurant however the service was very slow. One girl got her appetizer and the other girl had to wait. One of my office mates ordered shrimp and it was raw when it came out. Then after being there almost 2 hours because the service was so slow , their credit card machine was down. So they made us wait while they tried to run the credit cards over and over then the manager finally said the people paying with credit cards could have their meal free but the people paying with cash would still have to pay after being there all that time and on our work lunch break. If you're wanting to get back to work on time I do not recommend eating here for lunch read more

Initil impression was not very warm. The hostess didn't greet me or ever smile (during my entire visit). My server was great. Attentive and pleasant. She was that way with all her tables. I ordered steak and shrimp with a baked potato. The steak was properly cooked and tender. The baked had a large black section inside. My fork could not cut. This should never have left the kitchen. No way the preparer missed it. Just poor.... They did replace quickly. Place was very empty so no reason for poor food. Would have expected a management courtesy visit with the bad food, but nothing. Literally the worst service I've had in a while. Had an empty cup the whole night, received our appetizers (cold) the same time as our entree. Had empty plates and cups filling our table, as BRITTON continued to flirt with the woman across from us. Even kissing her in an extremely inappropriate way. Never approached our table except to take our orders, drop off food, and drop off our checks. This was a joke. Wasted $25 on what could have been a great night.
