If I could give zero I would just based on service. Our server disappeared two separate times for over fifteen minutes each time. We had to wave down a separate server just to get a drink refilled. Server basically got on her knees to take orders. Was not impressed. read more

The hosts that seat us was telling us how nice the new floors are easy to clean up going on and on about that then we asked for the waitress bought waters and it looked like there was puke in our glass. Applebee's and IHop are now joined in the same building. We went in and were seated, but no one came to wait on us or bring us water. They did not have a separate menu for Ihop. It was all intermixed with Applebee's food​ items. The only reason we went was because of the ads on TV showing a half dozen "Everyday value meaks" meals from IHop for $6.00 each. There were none of these on the menu nor displayed on a board, etc., so we walked out. Very poor service read more

Sad experience today at the ihop/applebees. Firstly ordered the beer cheese and pretzels, cheese was very cold so we asked for a new one and it was still very cold in the center second time around but didn't want to cause a fuss so we just dealt with it. Our server was very kind, very busy so we didn't see much of her but that's not her fault. The place looks kinda all over the place since the remodel but not too loud vibes were okay. Moving on to the meals, I would recommend staying away from their pastas, noodles were a little stiff and chewy, chicken charred way more than it should've been and overall had a not so great flavor, sad to be writing this review as before the remodel I was applebees' biggest fan but it seems as if quality has somehow gotten worse rather than better like everyone said it would be. Don't see myself returning here any time soon, hopefully with time it can only get better, can only go up from here. read more

This Applebees location has really stepped up their game. The service was spot on and I throughly enjoyed my beef brisket tacos. It was basically their signature BBQ sauce poured over tender pulled pork in a soft shell. The hubby opted for the oriental salad which was HUGE! Fresh and he said delicious. Yay, Applebee's in Fort Gratiot now! Not sure how long it's been there, but I hadn't been home for a while. We were there on a Sunday evening and it was pretty busy. We were greeted and seated right away, given menus and our drink orders were taken. When our drinks were brought to the table, the server was ready for our orders. I opted for the French onion soup (my fav) and a small salad. One person in our party had a chicken sandwich and the other person had one of Applebee's signature salads. Food came out pretty quick and was very tasty...everyone enjoyed their meal. Good service. read more

Great service and the meal was surprisingly good, i am always hesitant about chain restaurants. If you go here use your Yelp to get a free appetizer with a purchase of a drink. We had the pretzels with a nice mustard and blue moon beer cheese. They were good but if it wasn't for being free i would never pay $8.00 for 4 sticks. My wife enjoyed her dish and me the picky meat guy enjoyed his burger with my addition of A1 sauce on it. Now time to go enjoy Port Huron, yes Port Huron Happy 4th everyone! read more

This is the worse food in town. There appeared to be a rubber band in one chicken tender. this was once a favorite spot in town, but the quality has changed. A tv dinner would been an up-grade. We stopped in today after cleaning our beach house. It was my kids treat for helping out. This was a typical Applebee's. It was clean and the food was average. I ordered one of my favorites fiesta lime chicken. My kids ordered appetizers. I love the tangy sauce on the fiesta lime chicken. This has been one of my favorites probably close to twenty years. The portions have become smaller but I'm okay with that because this dish is like 1100 calories. The chicken is not fresh chicken. This dish would be amazing if it was fresh chicken. I think it's fused. We had a pleasant experience with a nice attentive waitress. I would definitely visit this location again. read more

Honestly this is probably one of the best Applebee's I have been to. Waitress made sure my friend and I had refills and enough napkins. Place was really busy for a Friday night but we were able to get a nice booth before the late dinner rush hit. Bar manager even walked around making sure everyone was taken care of. Prices are a little steep though. The Spinach and Artichoke hoovers around $9 and the portion is pretty tiny. We ran out of chips and still had dip left. The waitress told us if we wanted more chips we would have to buy another Spinach and Artichoke dip. We'll be back again but next time we'll just be cautious of what we order. read more

I honestly used to hate going to Applebees, but my nephew wanted to come here for his birthday which was earlier. So we went and I was surprised how friendly and respectful the wait staff was when they greeted us. Tina Marie was our server and she was absolutely fabulous and even sung a little for my nephew which I thought was awesome. Now I can't wait to go back there and the food was delicious. I came to this place and my whole table ordered a whole bunch of food. The food came and the food was perfectly fine. The service was pretty slow though. One of those meals was a kids meal. the food was good. The yogurt is all completely different story so turns out that yogurt was chunky and had yellow bit in it, It was clearly expired so I brought the waiter over and got her attention about it immediately she says let me go get a different one. Let me get a different one so I was like OK. She brings out the second one not only is it two times smaller than the last yogurt with strawberries but the yogurt looked still expired if not worse, and we had to get her attention again to only be gaslighted"that's how Greek yogurt is supposed to look like it's just plain Greek yogurt Greek yogurt is very chunky "in her exact words so we got a one dollar discount off the yogurt and the manager comes out to gaslight us more basically saying oh I'm sorry about that. I'll talk to the kitchen about that. It doesn't really look expired like you serious? I know what the fuck yogurt looks like. Is your yogurt chunky and has yellow little parts in it. no! First thought walking in was positive as they were not overly busy so we didn't have to wait. Our drink orders were taken immediately as we waited for our server. Few minutes later or server introduced herself as Miranda. Sweet and courteous. Our appetizers came out about 15 minutes later. They were hot and delicious! The pretzel breadsticks are a whole new level of awesomeness!! I can't get those off my mind! Anyway, my entree was the Parmesan steak and shrimp. The sauce was amazing with the shrimp and steak. The steak was supposed to be a mid rare sirloin but was a ribeye instead and overcooked. I don't cause scenes so I just mentioned it to the server and she made it right with a nice discount on my meal. No not free.....in case you were wondering. I would go back when in town. read more

We had a rather unique experience coming in yesterday. As we walked in, a drunk man was threatening customers and was very belligerent, claiming racism and taking his shirt off to try and fight another patron and the sheriff department was called. Once that settled, we were seated, and things went fine. My wife and I ordered the 2 for $26 option (she had steak and I had ribs). Our daughter had a classic cheeseburger. The food was fine. In fact, I had too much so lunch for today considering the meal comes with an appetizer (we ordered boneless wings for our appetizer). My wife enjoyed her pink beach tea and I my unsweetened iced tea. Ila (might be misspelling her name) was great coming off of an awkward moment with drunk guy, and was good with my daughter who, with autism, makes some comments that often throw people off. Wasn't expecting dinner and a show, but life is full of surprises. I would say if the man was served a drink there, he shouldn't have been as he was clearly intoxicated and should've been denied and I did hear the manager say he threw a drink. However, this happened when we came in and she did call law enforcement who promptly showed up so if he was denied because of his intoxication, kudos. Good food and service, but with the loud crowd at the bar, it's a place I only frequent occasionally and would likely just make it a date night with my wife and not with my children. read more

Applebees is good, it's a typical chain restaurant. I got really bad food from them from door dash and they refunded me. So, can't complain.

Alright I have to temper this a bit, after being around the block a bit more and reviewing some other schlubs. This place is what i said it is, BUT its better than several alternatives (Chilis for example), they have some decent drink specials, and if you go there later at night during the week the food is cheaper. So there are some things to entice you. I would think most Americans have eaten at one of these joints by now; if not, remember Applebees before Chilis, but if you want a real neighborhood place go downtown. read more

Tonight we tried Applebee's again. Very nice waitress and we ordered the 2 for $22.00 deal which gives you a side salad each. My salad comes and I take a couple bites of lettuce then I notice something about the size of a finger under the lettuce towards the bottom of the bowl. It appears flour coated so I say to my wife what is that! I fork it and cut it in half and it is a piece of raw chicken tucked under the lettuce. We call the waitress over and she was appalled with it and took the salad to show the Manager. The Manager comes out to say there is no excuse and was going to yell at the kitchen staff. How does a 3 inch piece of raw chicken get put into a side salad?? The Manager felt bad and took my meal off because it was disgusting. Probably never going to Applebee's again. read more
