The dishes I ate will be rated separately because of their range in quality. Bread Basket: 4/5 The bread basket that came with the prime rib that I ordered was better than most. I am announce that I placed a take out order and provided my name. She went looking for a piece of paper and asked what my order was. I stated cheese BREAD, she explained with ALL her teenage attitude while rolling her eyes that she needs to check because it's often wrong ...mmmkay Next she takes my money and heads into the kitchen. She leaves the kitchen moments later with a plastic bag then waits at the bar for change from the bartender for 5 minutes while she is holding my HOT food that was getting cold. Finally I got my 45 cents & cold Mozzarella cheese STICKS. Best part about this experience was leaving their restaurant.

The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is not what I would expect from the same ownership of multiple other restaurants in the Macomb County area. Outdated decor hangs on the walls and the restrooms reminded me of a middle school bathroom. I think that Bobby Mac's is in need of a decor update and thorough cleaning, but also can see how it may add to the charm of the restaurant. I suspect that the regular clientele is made up of regular locals and people coming in from boating on the lake. Both groups may enjoy the "character" of the outdated decor. Overall, while not the most impressive restaurant I've visited, I certainly enjoyed my food and would recommend to at least give Bobby Mac's a try.

My wife was territorial about sharing her salmon, with good reason. This is a fishing community that prides itself on the quality of its seafood. I loved the flawless preparation of the sliver of salmon she reluctantly shared with me. I didn't mind because the ahi tuna was magical. I offered her some, but she was happy with her salmon. Her loss. I ordered it medium rare; I enjoy my tuna steak the way I enjoy my beef steak. And, this was a beautiful cut of tuna. It was encrusted in peppercorns and sesame seeds, giving it a little bite. Take that, Gordon Ramsay! I got it with a side of perfectly lumpy mashed potatoes, with robust dark gravy on the side. Combined with the tuna, it was a lot of food, but there was never any doubt I was going to eat every bit of it. I ordered a local brew, Anchor Bay Noble Mutt red ale. Not as malty as a typical red, which I enjoyed. It didn't interfere with the meal. The service was also very quick, and cheerfully rendered by our server. The restaurant was very clean, and our waitress was incredibly kind and welcoming. I also loved that they offer daily specials. I ordered the 9oz filet with red-skinned potatoes and a Caesar salad. The salad was so flavorful, the potatoes tasted incredibly fresh and earthy, and the filet was cooked to a perfect medium with an amazing char that made it absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back!
