Our blooming onion came out fast and so did the bread and my husbands side salad, but when it came to entrée that was a different story. It was a very busy evening and I do believe they were understaff bc they weren't even setting people on one side of the restaurant, so I don't know if back of house was understaffed too, but let's just say it took way too long and then when our food came out it was not good. My husbands shrimp was ice cold like it just came out of fridge and thrown on his plate and his cheese fries were cold. Then my steak was cold to the touch, I mean fridge cold. The other person who was with us got a blooming chicken and he said his was fine. They took all our food back and redid it, at this point after 2 hrs we just wanted it boxed up to go and so they recooked it and boxed it all up and gave us free deserts. They did comp all our drinks, mine and my husbands meal and the blooming onion, which was great for the experience we had. Those two ladies saved the night. Needless to say I just ate bread and blooming onion for dinner, but have steak for dinner tonight. I will also say the bathrooms were dirty, paper towels all over the floors, counters were covered in water like someone had taken a bath in there. I do believe this restaurant needs more staff, the staff they had were working their tails off and no one was standing around doing nothing. I felt bad bc they trying their hardest and just couldn't keep up. We love outback and eat there a lot. This was our first time going to this location, when we go back I will always ask to be seated in Debbie section and hopefully they have given Brittany that raise she deserves.

The morning brunch service was a bit slow; and when my omelet came, it was ... what shall we say ... anemic? It was the smallest in size and flattest/skinniest omelet I think I've ever had anywhere. Let's put it this way: I was still hungry when we left. Orange juice was good; I wouldn't get the coffee again. When our server finally came to our table to check us out, she didn't know how to use the restaurant's own coupon to deduct it from our bill. My sister can save the coupon for later, but ... really? This joint is in a nice spot of downtown Wilson, within walking distance of the new baseball park and other restaurants and bars. I only order if I haven't weighed myself that day. A Mayflower dinner is always two meals for me. It is a great value. The A#1 best server there (and anywhere in Wilson) is CHANNING. Our server Kaydi quickly came over to offer drinks, an energetic tone, a positive smile, and the refreshing Southern "yes ma'am/sir." I got the Blues Brothers Burger with sweet potato fries, a very tasty lunch, and filling. We were offered to-go drinks, a cordial touch. Pricing averaged about $25 per person, a very reasonable price for the value delivered. Overall, we will certainly be back the next time we're driving along the east coast.
