I used to love it there so I took my disabled mom to eat. They told her she could only sit in a "tall table" because their booth section was closed. After 10 minutes sitting at our table they let a family sit there. Applebee's is not disabled friendly. read more

We were pleasanty greeted by their hostess, who seated us quickly and made sure were comfortable with our location. Once our waitress arrived however things went down hill. We ordered 2 peach margaritas on rocks, and our server Ashley took it upon herself to make them top shelf. We sent those back for the house margaritas and got peach Koolaid mixed with HFCS and a couple drops of tequila. For our food we got salads and the 3 cheese chicken with cavatapi. Hardly any cheese. 1 week post hernia surgery and I was given the all clear to take our family vacation to the Oregon Coast and then to the in-law's. The only thing I wasn't cleared for was "real food" so I was stuck on a thin liquids diet. I couldn't fathom getting any of that at any of the fast food establishments on the road and I wanted soup so as we approached the town of Roseberg and saw the Applebee's sign we all agreed to stop here for lunch. I know, I know, I said in my review of Applebees in San Ramon that I "didn't belong at Applebee's", but when on the road, one has limited time and choices and we were all pleasantly surprised. First, we were seated immediately and had a great server. Second, I was able to get French onion soup without the cheese or bread and the broth was tasty. Lastly, daughter and husband did the 2 for $20.00 deal and each had a substantial lunch (daughter steak and veggies with steak that was prepared as ordered) and husband the Oriental chicken salad. They also shared an appetizer of boneless buffalo wings that they deemed good, not great. All in all a decent stop on the road-and luckily, much better than some of what we endured later in the week. read more

I'm usually a fan of Applebee's, but I think i might have to pass on this one next time I'm around... We got here at around 7, yet were seated instantly, which is definitely a perk. Yet, the server didn't even introduce herself to us... Nothing big, I know, but I'm very big on good customer service when it comes to sit-down restaurants. The whole time, the server seemed to be jittery. Maybe she was trying to be efficient when taking our orders, but it just felt like we were being rushed. For food, we went with the 2 for $20 deal. We got the mozzarella sticks for the appetizer, which were decent but overly gooey. As far as entrees, I got the three cheese penne and my mom got the house sirloin. The penne was decent and just like any other Applebee's, but some of the penne were cold. My mom said the sirloin was good, so I'll take her word on that. Overall, the restaurant seems to be average and just like all other Applebee's, but just a little bit lacking in the customer service department. I went in today and they had these cool looking tablets at each table. I thought it was pretty neat at first. I played with it and ordered an appetizer. I tried to play the games, but you have to pay to unlock them. The new tablet system messed up our order! The waitress commented that they absolutely hate them and they mess everything up. During the meal I had to turn the tablet around because all the flashing menu items got a bit distracting. So, what I thought was something cool, turned out to be a disappointment. read more

My companions ordered a steak, it came out overcooked and I found my normally delicious mushroom burger was saggy and greasy from sitting for forever as the manager told me. They did fix it but the food took forever to get to us. Terribly slow. This is highly unusual as it is normally good. Makes me wonder if they had some new cooks in the kitchen. What is going on? Update: My boyfriend (7 years my senior) wanted to stop by Applebee's so I agreed. We were waited on by an old classmate of his (her name is Katie). She didn't ask to see his ID, although she should have anyway. When I handed over my ID, she looked at it and said, "Awwwww, you're just a babyyyy!!!!" in the most annoying sing-song voice you can imagine. I do not care what kind of situation you're in, you DO NOT make a comment like that to a customer. I was highly offended and consider that completely inappropriate. I was really impressed with our service here especially after our group was dressed like a bunch of river rats with wet swimming suits! We are from Eugene and played in the sun on the Umpqua and wanted dinner. Our server was great I wish I caught her name. My steak was actually good too and I ordered off of the 2 for $25. I asked for a side of the Hawaiian sauce that is on the new steak and it was really good. It actually has me wanting more. Next time I will probably order that steak. After many years of disappointing service and food at Applebee's, I avoided them. It has seriously been about 10 years since I have been to one, and they couldn't even fulfill my comped return experience without major hassles and let downs. Granted, I was hesitant about meeting mates here for supper and drinks. I have to say that I was impressed. Pretty damn good food for a decent price. My husband and I ate there yesterday. We both had diarrhea immediately following our meal. Both of us were sick with stomach cramps and uncontrollable diarrhea for several hours after our visit.... Bad experience today. Not even sure where to begin because so much went wrong. We ordered beer cheese sauce with pretzels for our app. Beer cheese sauce was cold, pretzels were deep fried and so much oil still on them they glistened. Waitress was AWOL. I guess they were short handed and I know that happens, but when she did finally show she was not even very polite and looked incredibly haggard and stressed out.my chicken penne was cold. What's with this place and cold food? My daughter enjoyed her Thai shrimp salad but 12 bucks for a very small salad would make that not an option again if we ever to go back. We were I. The waitress didnt give me silverware, never filled my drinks and ignored my table so much another waiter had to ask if I needed anything else, I said yeah silverware when he brought me my food! I'll start off with this, it's Applebee's, a major chain restaurant so not much to input. The food is good for what it is wife always gets three cheese chicken penne, I always get chicken strips cause I think there burgers are mediocre at best. The bar here is great they know drinks and don't gig you on the amount of liquor they give you. It's not a bad restaurant at all just not a big fan off major chain restaurants. If I didn't have high blood pressure prior I probably do now: it tasted like salt had been spooned into the wonton chicken tacos and the crispy Asian wings, and even the chips were phenomenally salty, just by themselves. the salsa was salty. The chicken dishes were SO salted... When you have so much salt that the food is briney, it almost starts to taste sour. I was super hungry so ate it anyway. Need to drink a lot so I don't have a heart attack!!! Flavour would be much improved by correcting the seasoning, but would they sell less beer? read more

I will be very honest. My boyfriend and I used to love going here. I just stopped by on my way to town and grabbed a beer. The bartender was super nice. I paid for my happy hour beer and tipped $1 like usual. She didn't seem very pleased. When I was finishing my beer the restaurant seemed to pick up closer to dinner time and people were needing of the bar chair I was sitting on. I noticed the cue and finished me beer. Before I got up the guy who waited on the bar while the girl was on break said something rude under his breath like "she should've been gone a while ago." Needless to say, I won't be back. I rarely come here but after this experience I am coming here more often. The service was spectacular. They always made sure that we were okay, and kept keeping us informed of when our food would arrive. Now to food, the food was fantastic. I got the BrewHouse Chicken and it was delicious. This chain location is roughly what I'd expect from Applebee's ... except that this location just felt, well, sticky. But, when one is riding along with the folks, one goes where they go. Otherwise, food was good, server was chummy but adequate, and speed was appropriate given we were way off the normal meal schedule (late lunch at 2:30). Well it's an Applebee's, so the food is standard fare. Stopped on the way down to California for a quick dinner. We got here, and it was probably about 80% packed. At first I was surprised, seeing such a crowded Applebee's. Then I realized I was in the middle of nowhere, and was not so surprised anymore. The employees were pretty nice. If you read all my Applebee's reviews (there are many as I travel for business) you'd see that in general, I'm a fan. I basically order the same thing every time: Bourbon Street Steak. It's good. Very good. And at this particular Applebee's, also very good. The systems and management are down pat here and at most locations. This is a small town Applebee's, so the employees are even better !! Applebee's locations are undergoing a massive Nationwide renovation removing the "hang-down" cabinets over the bar area. These renovations are much needed and much appreciated. This particular location has not received this renovation but most won't notice. Good food, good people, well managed. Kudos!!! read more

Asked the bar tender if she could remake them and exchange them. She did and they were great. Then as we ordered food the server said "everything is measured" out of the blue with a horrible attitude. We made it to Roseberg at 5pm. 88* is too hot to leave the dog in the car and go to dinner. Call in dinner from the hotel to be picked up. This is a great option for dog owners. The take out girl came out and reviewed the order and then you pay. A few minutes later they bring your dinner out to the car ! How Bitchen is that ! Came at 2:30 on a Friday it was not super busy and they appeared to have plenty of help. It took about 20 mins for the waitress to ask for our drink order. It took about an hour for the food to come. Others were served who arrived after us. Noticed the waitresses going in and out of the restroom wearing their aprons - not sanitary! I am being generous giving this one star. This restaurant lived up to all the rumors circulating. I wanted to see for myself if it was as bad as people say and it was. I ordered a margarita and if it had any alcohol I would be surprised. It came in a water glass. It tasted like pure margarita mix. We ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad and it was mostly dried fried noodles with slivered almonds. Some romaine lettuce with a rather sweet mayonnaise based dressing. I'm really not sure how a chain restaurant can have such bad and inconsistent food. I have been so disappointed the last several times I have gone that I won't be back. I really enjoyed going there too since it is one of the better places in town. The last time we were there I had the bourbon steak and shrimp. I have had this dish many many times as I consider it one of the best in the menu. It was horrible. I'm not sure what they did but it was not flavored correctly and floating in a weird substance. My husbands shrimp were so fried that they barely had any flavor. The manager came to the table and asked us if he could replace any of our meal but I declined. I had lost my appetite by then. So, I am not normally one to go to a chain restaurant because of the ingredients and the general idea that most of the money leaves my area. That being said I love this Applebee's. Although their soups are clearly bagged and not made fresh, their servers are clearly indoctrinated to the point of almost being robotic, and that they are missing some of the more classic drinks and menu items the experience is always positively remembered. They seem to be on the ball all the time. Even when every seat is filled they do their best to seat you and serve you in an efficient manner. They are extremely consistent and no matter the server, shift or day I have always been able to have a pleasurable experience. read more
