We were seeking a nice cool place on a hot day to eat. We ordered our food & it seemed to take longer than usual. My partner ordered a burger but did not get the specific burger he ordered. I had chicken & ribs. It came swimming in an off color bbq sauce. The sauce was tasted like vinegar & tomato..too much vinegar no real flavor. It was so bad I could not eat it. The chicken was thin but good once I scraped off as much sauce as I could. The ribs were to saucy to scape. I could not. The slaw had a weird sour taste too it. The garlic mash was great! 3.5/5 stars This was the first time we've been to a Sizzler in years-way before the pandemic. We saw it during dinner time and decided to give it a shot. First-they have entreé baskets with fried calamari, fried shrimp, or a mix of each or steakhouse potato skins, for $5.49. Second-they have a soup bar for people who only want soup. And last-is the prices went up...like most everywhere else. This does effect the value based on quality per price. I had the salad bar and the hubs got a ribeye. The ribeye was large but not thick. The flavor was good but it had a lot of fat and gristle. The baked was good. The salad bar looked very much the same. I had small portions of soups to taste...clam chowder-had funny flavor and chicken noodle-mushy noodles. Neither would I do again. They had chicken winglets, taquitos, chips & salsa/yellow queso, Mac & Cheese and some fried filled items that I didn't try. Signs would really help people know what was inside fried items and, especially to identify the salad dressings. They still have the soft serve ice cream and toppings. The soft serve was good. There was fruit on the salad bar-pineapple and melon. There was also an Oreo crumbled in pudding or whipped topping dessert that I'm sure is popular. I know I'm in a minority because I can't do the texture of Oreos and mixed would be worse. Service was good. The gentleman that helped us order was nice and so helpful and our server was really good, too. The food just underwhelmed. I know it's hard for restaurants to get products and others seemed to enjoy the food but the value wasn't there for me. Sizzlers is the place to go when you don't know what you want to eat, but you want good food because you got a choice of a whole lot and their food is very good. Service is wonderful for the girls that come by or the guys they come by and bring your toast And pick up your plates. They always have a smile on the face which I really appreciate the audiences basically like a regular family restaurant to stop at on date night or after church or luncheon traveling through towns that also have sizzlers. Both our Servicemen returned home for the Holidays and they arrived on the same day. They both wanted Sizzler, so off we go. We chose this location as it was closer to their home and once again I was caught off by the menu system as I only see it here, but it is efficient. The staff is annoyingly pleasant and helpful with a good sense of humor. They took our order and gave us our drinks, then off we go to find a table. I still get that nostalgic 'high school cafeteria' feel from it, but this is a casual good food environment. There is still some table service and refills were brought as requested. Everyone was happy with the food and service. There were six of us in this group. I had a cup of clam chowder and found it to be very creamy and smooth, rich in potato but a bit lacking in clam. No bacon or pepper had been added, but the flavor gave me pause..... what is that flavor? Almost sweet..? Maybe like a mild hint of coconut..? One of our group commented that it might be from actual cream. Funny, it wasn't bad, just mysterious and by the time I finished tasting it, it was gone. -had to laugh at myself over that one. It also turns out I ordered the same burger as I did last time, the Smokey Bacon Burger that comes with crispy fried onion in it. They made changes one being their amazing clam chowder they had for years which is why I mainly went there . I just had conversation with Friends recently. So I went yesterday after not going for a few months and immediately noticed it was horrible. I mentioned to a worker and he said yep they changed it . Too bad . I won't be back. Due to a kitchen renovation, we have been forced to eat out much more than we normally do. Sizzler was off our list for a while but it is definitely back on. The last couple times we were there, we ordered entrees, added the salad bar, and took our entrees home to microwave for dinner. The salad bar is getting much better attention: items are being refilled faster, the hot food is really hot, and there were a couple different items on the pasta side of the salad bar. We ate there on Veterans' Day since my hubby is a vet. Ditto for everything especially since it was REALLY BUSY with lots of veterans. I don't know the male server's name but he was AWESOME. We arrived for an early lunch and he was the only server out on the floor. He was HOPPIN'! He delivered food, drinks, and checked frequently for needed refills all with a big smile and friendly attitude. Next time I'll get his name because he deserves a shout out. We took a foster child to Sizzler. She really wanted to go because she had a fond memory of being there. Heck, I even had fond memories of going with my grandparents when I was about her age. We each got the full salad& hot bar. We were charged the full adult price for the child's meal (11 years old). My husband got burger and fries which he said wasn't bad even though it took 30 minutes to get to the table. About the only thing that I have that I could say positive about the whole experience, is that the ice cream bar was good. Though, I shutter to think about that ice cream machines cleanliness! The chicken wings had a morsel of meat with an inch of breading around each piece. They were over cooked and had been there long enough that they were totally dried out. The taco meat was saturated in oil, and even the kiddo wouldn't touch that! Most of the things in the salad bar were either not replenished or looked like they had been there quite a long time. The Caesar salad dish had about a half a dozen pieces of lettuce and one crouton. We didn't try the soup or clam chowder (reason seems obvious). Overall, for almost $60 the experience was a complete and total let down. We will never go there again. Even the 11-year-old said that the food was terrible and she's really not a picky eater. Visited the Roseburg, OR site around 6:15 pm 9-30-22. Food was great, fries the best in town. Staff was pleasant. Problems were: Carpet very dirty-looking, should be replaced or changed to some sort of vinyl or wood -? Something easy to keep clean. Where were the bus people? Every unoccupied booth had dirty dishes stacked up, had to find a waitress to clean one off so we could sit down. When we left the two booths across from us still had dirty dishes and glassware on them. Isn't there a manager on site who goes around and checks things periodically? NOT ACCEPTABLE. read more

Derick our server was extremely helpful and the manager stopped to check in on how our food was. Honestly we went last night took our 18 year old granddaughter to treat her...she had never been in sizzles before. She wanted salmon they were out. She ordered fisherman platter which was totally unedible...fried shrimp and two pieces of fried pollock which all were GROSS. My husband ordered medium well steak got RARE RARE RARE, waitress put in new order for him but by the time his steak came out we were finished eating so we watched him eat the steak which looked like it had been steamed no grill marks on it. I had salad bar which was ok but not great. Chicken strips were fried south they were hard, no taco shells, sloppy gunk they called some sort of cool whip salad, really unappealing. The absolute worst! No food, no plates. And when you did get some food. For example, the chicken looked like deep fried bat. More deep fried, then the little bit of disgusting chicken. There was a hair in the banana pudding. The chips and cheese was disgusting, even a 13 year old couldn't eat it. The salad was mehh, certainly not worth the 16.79. The parking lot was empty but i was hungry. No one at the counter had to ask a waiter, he told them they had a customer. Ordered the steak and lobster, and salad bar. Sat down and waited for 30 minutes, the lobster was very good, the steak was tiny and so tough. Later that evening got incredibly sick had food poisoning sick all night so if you order the steak well you probably shouldn't. I called the restaurant they made excuses. I told them I didn't want anything from them just to check the meat so no one else would get sick. The restaurant was clean and the waiter was great, only one other person i saw working. Excellent Service and Excellent Food. I drove 8 & 1/2 hours on 5/31/18 and Sizzler was my dinner with my Son. My Mom use to take me to Sizzler in Downey Ca when I was growing up & when I was a young adult. I couldn't wait for my baked potato so I could load it with butter like I did when I was younger. And I wasn't disappointed. Yum Yum. The waitress gave us your wonderful hot out of the oven bread. I had forgotten about your wonderful bread. Yum Yum. Our salads were perfectly fresh and delicious. My Sons Clam Chowder was delicious he said. Our steaks were amazing. Everything was Delicious & Amazing & I cant wait to return to a Sizzler near me. Which I think is only 90 minutes.
