One of the worse Applebees we have been to. 5 orders received at various times. One order completely wrong, it was brought out correctly after everyone has finished. Why don't I have a 0 stars option???!!? This place was absolutely disgusting. The half-full bar was a disaster. The nonchalant bartender clearly did not care that her bar resembled a junkyard (no offense to those individuals that own junkyards). The dish sink was overflowing with what looked like hours worth of drinks. The bar was as sticky as Bourbon Street, and it took 5 full minutes to even be acknowledged by the bartender who moved as quick as Miss Daisy. The barback was, equally as helpless, and wore an obscenely inappropriate uniform. Sorry lady, but you know your figure, this is a business and a family establishment, please dress accordingly. After 5 minutes we got sticky, schmegma covered menus, then another 5 minutes to order, only to be told they were out of both my liquor choice and wine choice! It took us less than a minute to decide on other drinks, but apparently we had lost our spot in the line of ordering, so after another 5 minutes, my boyfriend, a bartender for ten years, had hit his boiling point and we had to leave. For a Saturday night... this staff was the D team! All we wanted was a drink and an appetizer, but instead what we got was a foul taste in our mouth and a desire to never step foot in this "establishment" ever again. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! The waitress was so fake and seemed like she cared but she didn't. We ordered water with lemons and the lemons never came out and our appetizer never came only out entrees. My 3 cheese chicken penne had only 3 smalls pieces of chicken, the very small portion of pasta was undercooked with barely any cheese. Our friends roasted potatoes was also burnt. Not to mention the food took over 30 mins to come out!! I asked for the manager and it took her 15 mins to come out and she sat down very nonchalant and basically asked what does she want me to do about everything so I just kindly said don't do anything j won't be back. Visited this Applebee's on 1/7/2018. By far the worst experience I have ever had.....anywhere......ever! Waited for over an hour with my daughter and no food! Several parties came in after us and most had already eaten and left. Kept being told they are making it, they are making it which was BS! The manger tried to seem concerned but really wasn't. I will never ever visit this "establishment " again!!! This experience has almost turned me away from the franchise as a whole. This place needs a complete overhaul from management on down. Went in just to just have a nice dinner with my 7 year old daughter! My bill ended up being 30$ I ordered a Double bacon Bloody Mary. And when It came out there was no bacon no olives no lemon or lime and to top it off it was watered down! When we arrived at this location for dinner we were greeted by a friendly hostess who seated us immediately. Our server, Kelly was very attentive and even suggested an option that was less expensive. My husband and I ordered top sirlon steaks, emphasis on medium rare. Our food arrived very quickly and the steaks were prepared perfectly. The service that we received was great! If I could leave no star I would. Had the Cowboy burger and fries that must have been left over from lunch and rewarmed. Didn't finish and the waitress never even asked me how my food was. To top it all off they ran out of silver wear and gave us to go packs of plastic wear......really the place wasnt even full. How the heck do you run out of silverwear? Nadia the manager walks around not in uniform and is clueless as to what is go I on in her restaurant. My wife remembers us eating her several months ago and we had an issue. I guess some things will never change. It seems like there are a 100 people working in the place but, nothing gets done. Carside to go is horrible! Over an hour from start to finish from ordering to pickup. We sat in their parking lot for 40 minutes past time of guaranteed pick up. Called them after waiting 20 minutes and the person on the phone said our order will be out soon with no apology or empathy. Then the delivery person showed up with our food, after waiting another 15 minutes, and had no apology or explanation of why the food took an hour to cook. TL;DR- Don't come here with a group or to celebrate a friend's birthday. Came to this Applebee's with a group to celebrate a friend's birthday, which was a huge mistake. After being seated, we waited over 30 minutes before asking the hostess where our waiter/waitress was. Since the waitress was no where in sight, most of us had gone up to the bar to order a dollar-rita. Eventually the hostess came back and informed us that she would be our waitress, and we ordered another round of dollar-ritas. About 30 minutes later she came back and let us order some food, but when we asked her where our drinks were, she said her manager, Steve, wouldn't let her bring any drinks until none of us had drinks in front of us... but all of us had already finished our one drink we ordered at the bar earlier. Another 20 minutes goes by and she finally brings out our appetizers. We asked again why we STILL hadn't gotten any drinks. So she goes back and talks to Steve and comes back to inform us that Steve has decided to cut us off if we have had 2+ of the dollar-ritas... but we all had only had that one. By this point, the mood had been killed, and we said forget it, just bring us our checks. That took another 30 minutes. We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday, and we were there for 2.5 hours, had one drink and some appetizers before we decided it wasn't worth it. The service was horrible. We were seated and 35 mins later a server showed up and got our drink orders and 25 mins after that the drinks came. We ordered and it took an hour to get half of our food and by half I mean my boyfriend received his but I never received mine. They told us it was coming for 30 mins. I got tired of waiting and said to forget my order. They took it off our bill and we paid and left. The server was a sweetheart and I knew it wasn't her fault. Everytime we go there to eat it's the same. If you want to take 2 to 3 hours to eat go somewhere worth it like Miyabi's or the melting pot. Applebee's on abercorn has gone to shit. read more

Applebees is a restaurant for people who love frozen food, but hate having money in their pocket. We stopped at this eatery while traveling through Savannah. The hostess was wearing a skullcap and hoodie. Classy. The pictures on the menu looked good so I ordered the "quesadilla" burger based on that. It was a patty between 2 tortillas with salsa and lettuce. Quite nasty. My daughter got mac n cheese that was just the Kraft stuff from a box. My wife got fish that was ok. Tasted frozen. My son's chicken and fries were also frozen foodstuff. I think it is important to keep restaurants in perspective. I don't expect filet mignon at McDonald's. At a casual family restaurant I expect more for the price. It was more than $40 for food that was no better than what you find on the frozen food aisle at your local grocery store. The service was mediocre, and the atmosphere is about what you'd expect from one of those "crap on the wall" type restaurants. If I could give zero stars I would! This place was SO awful we got up and left one bite in. The drinks were not made like any other applebees I've ever been to (in a BAD way) & or appetizer (queso dip) came out colder than room temperature and there was less than a half inch of dip in the dish, $7 I think not!!! I tried to catch our server multiple times and she just ignored us & blew past to talk to the other servers congregated at the far end of the bar. I then tried to flag down other servers and the manager(who was at the bar texting) to no avail. Myself and my group sat for 1 hour waiting for 3 appetizers..I am pregnant and had waited so long for service I began to break down at my table while my group searched for our waitress..Having morning sickness I ran into the bathroom where I found my waitress Ronisha B laughing on her cell phone. I then had to ask where is our food. She was confused like we never ordered our food. She then meet me back at my table to tell me she's sorry but someone must have taken our food because it is no longer in the window and I would have to wait for our orders to be remade. 2 hours after being seated we were FINALLY brought our food. Not once did we get refills on our drinks or asked how was our food or service. They then charged me 34 dollars for a 13 dollar order. Yesterday I went into your Abercorn Savannah Georgia location and received the worse service ever. We waited in the hostess area to be seated for almost 5 minutes because the hostess was too busy at the bar flirting with the bar tender. Then after being seated our waiter took forever to come to the table and seemed less than happy to be serving us. We ordered from the 2 for 25 menu and it took like quite a while to get our drinks which was a simple water and sweet tea which we asked for lemon and didn't receive.... Then when the appetizer came we received plates no utensils. Before we could say can we get forks for the super saucy boneless wings the waiter walked off.... So we sat and waited while the wings got cold then I finally asked another server for flat wear. Well I unwrapped my flatware mine had some huge black price of dried food in it and the fork was nasty, my dates flat wear was dirty as well. I used the device to call our waiter he didn't come at a reasonable time so I discretely went to the hostess station where 4 employees were posted up gossiping and when I approached them about their dirty silverware and they seem to act as if I were inconveniencing them. When I told one of the employees that the silverware with dirty she replied well what do you want plasticware and I calmly stated no I just want you to take this silverware and give us on cleans the word to use so we can enjoy our appetizer. After sitting at the table for another 10 to 12 minutes the server finally came and said oh did you need something you in an annoyed tone. We both ordered steaks mine was over cooked and when it came out I sent it back and the 2nd time it was over cooked again but I just ate it being that I ordered a Long Island while waiting and needed to consume some food. Also my sides had been microwaved and caused the veggies to be over cooked. The waiter never came to check on us to refill our drinks or offer us any thing like dessert anything quite frankly when it was time to bring the check he grabbed my plate while it still had food on it and took it before I could say hey I'm not done and left the check on the table and walked off. We paid via the device on the table and even though the dining experience sucked I left a tip because I use to be a server so I know how that is but 40 dollars down the drain! and we went somewhere else and got dessert revenue I'm glad your establishment missed out on. It may not be a big deal to you guys but the treatment of my guest and I has allowed me to say we will never go back to apple bees. I have to say, I NEVER have left a bad comment. But after tonight, I just have to. I went in with my daughter. I ordered the 3cheese chicken penne, and she got chicken strips. To start, the waitress sat down at our table while we were deciding what we wanted. Once the food came out, it looked good. However, the pasta was overcooked, the chicken was crunchy. It's supposed to be grilled and it was crunchier than the fried chicken my daughter had. Actually tasted more like grisle from the chicken. Reminded me of the chicken you get in a bag for fund raisers. Nasty stuff. The 3 cheese sauce had no flavor to it. Didn't taste anything cheese. Now mind you, my daughter and I both have been trained in Culinary/Cooking. I had to actually salt my food, and it still tasted nasty. She used to work at an Applebees in North GA. She told me that the chicken was microwaved. And her chicken came out of a bag. So we were trying to get the servers attention and she was talking with the hostess, with their backs to the door. A man came in an stood there waiting to be seated. When the hostess realized she had a customer, she said "oh s**t". I wasn't sitting near her, that's how loud she said it. Though my server seemed genuinely concerned, the cooking wasn't her problem. They need to step up their game on the kitchen staff. But with all these bad reviews, you'd think management would want to do something about it. I'd fire the whole crew and get new people in there. People who want to work and make money. Plenty of people out there looking for work. Oh and I have to say, I've tried to leave a comment on the website for Applebees and it keeps telling me there is a problem and try again later. WTF? Arrived at 7:30 had a 20 minute wait no problem, seated at our table the server let us know she would be right back for our drinks. Place our order, it took 27 minutes for our appetizer to arrive. Another 1/2 hour goes by she brings our sons food. 20 more minutes I went to find the manager, she couldn't even find our order, the order that was listed on our table wasn't what we ordered, then comes to tell us it went out to another table so it was sent back to the kitchen and had been sitting in the window since then. Great. She has them "remake" our club sandwich and egg cheeseburger (not really) the bread was so hard I couldn't even bite the sandwich. Granted she discounted our meal and the manager was super helpful we sat there for over a hour with no food everyone that sat around us after we arrived were fed and gone. Over 2 hours for a burger and sandwich, now we wouldn't like dessert, I have 2 kids that are sleeping at the table I would like to pay and leave. Worst Applebee's experience ever. Finally 9:47 and we are just leaving and definitely won't be back. read more

Very disappointing. Table dirty, had to ask to have dried, crusted sauce wiped, and even then, the table was only swiped, not clean. My iced tea glass hag grease or something white in the lip of the glass. Had to ask our server for a clean glass. Service was slow. Food was good, but slow service, lack of cleanliness and response was unacceptable. Tried twice to post a comment to the Applebee's website, twice was informed some thing was wrong (no kidding!) and to try later. Have been here now for 1 1/2 hours. Started our visit with a dirty napkin under the table and menus with actual food on them. Not just stained. Actual CHUNKS of food. Now you would not think it was possible to get worse. You'd be wrong. Decided I wanted a bar drink. Since our waitress was nowhere to be found I informed another. Wrong move. Lol. Got our salads 46 min after arrival and as that was only the second time I had seen my waitress... I asked about the drink. She says she was never informed. That took another 15 min. Start eating salad in the meantime. Discovered dirt/mud. Ewww! Sent it back. Manager came up to table and said "you asked to see me?" I replied "who are you?" He said he was the manager and I informed him next time he might want to lead with that. Waitress interrupted him and said it was the table across from us that asked for him. No one ever did bother to ask if I would like a replacement or credit for the salad. Entree was the bourbon shrimp and chicken. It was good. Momma asked for a box for her meal. Had to ask 3 times. Also had to ask to actually SEE the bill. They were going to charge for salad anyway but then they did take off $4 for it. Service was poor and s l o w! Manager looked like he was stoned. Awful service and mediocre food. Won't be back and I would advise anyone else to take a detour elsewhere. read more

When I went here, it was early lunch time, and was not busy. The waitress, would disappear in the back for 5 to 10 minutes at a time. We ordered water, but she brought out a tea and tried to give it to my fiance. He refused it and told her he ordered a water, so she gave him a water. She never brought us out any refills either, our cups were completely empty. She also told my fiance that she brought him some older fries because there was a batch cooking, and when it was done she would bring them out, and she never did. When we tried to pay on the device they put on the tables, it didn't have the right meals on there. I told the waitress, and she said she would bring us the bill on a receipt. When we reviewed the bill, it had a tea on there. I told the waitress that we both had waters, so she said she would correct the bill. When she came back, she told me the tea was removed off the bill, so I handed her my card. She swiped the card for the exact amount as the bill with the tea on it. She brought me back the receipt to sign and walked off quickly. I had to ask for the manager, and the manager had to refund and re-swipe my card again. It was a very sketchy situation. I don't know if they make her pay for stuff when she goofs up and that is why she did it, but I was very annoyed. read more

Arrived around 11pm and was told that a 3 person wait would take 20 minutes because they were short on servers. This was confusing because there was hardly any customers in the restaurant. Five minutes later we were seated, which was nice. After that it went down hill. Our waitress did not show up to take drink orders for about 10 minutes, and then took another 10 minutes to bring our drinks, and one of them was wrong. No problem, things happen, but she once again took a long time to bring back the correct drink order. We ordered our food, 5 appetizers to split, and it was later delivered by another server who only brought 4 appetizers. We told him we were missing one and he said he would let our waitress know. About 20 minutes later, after we already finished all of our food, she came by (for the first time) to ask if everything was okay, and we told her about the missing appetizer that was never delivered. She said she would go get it, but 10 minutes later she came back and told us that it had been left out on the counter and was now cold so the kitchen had to make another one... It was very strange. Once she finally brought out our missing appetizer, we immediately asked for a to go box, a to-go cup and our check. She took another 15 minutes to bring us our to-go box and check. She did not bring the to-go cup, so we once again asked for that. Didn't see her again for a long time, so we asked for the manager, who we waited for, but never came. After waiting for what seemed like forever, our waitress finally brought our to-go cup and change. It was an unpleasant, drawn out experience and I was very tired and ready to leave long before we were able to pay. I have been a server before and definitely understand being short staffed, but it was not crowded at all that late at night. Hardly any tables! And our waitress never looked busy or rushed when we saw her. She also never gave us one drink refill and never apologized for the wait time or our forgotten order. I will not be back. read more

I will never go to another Applebee's! I should've known...especially when the patrons seated near us kept sending their food back. I ordered a medium well steak with grilled shrimp. My steak came well done so I sent it back. It took soooo long to get my steak so my other food was cold by this time. They bought out my steak and the waitress too my plate to warm it. The plate comes back and my grilled shrimp are missing plus my steak is still not medium well. So she puts in an order for my shrimp and by this time it's been 3 hours total that I was there. So my date ends up eating his food without me since I didn't want him to wait. Also I hated the whole idea of these "tablets" bolted to the table. The waitress still has to take your order if you're getting anything other than an appetizer, so I didn't see the point. Needless to say, I'll never return. The only good thing was the waitress, Bri.
