We have been to this restaurant several times. It has always been hit or miss. Today I was in a party of 4 and we all ordered burgers. We waited over 1 hour for our burgers. One person in my party had a hair in the burger and there was a hair stuck in the ketchup bottle. The burgers were ordered as medium rare, but they all arrive well done. If you're ever hungry and wanting a cocktail on a cold, rainy night DO NOT go to the Applebee's in Three Rivers, MI. I stopped in after being at the hospital all day with my mom to clear my mind, have a nice Chicken Oriental Salad and a Mucho Margarita. After sitting at the bar for 10mins no one addressed me to take my order or at least see if I was being helped. 5mins later I stopped one of the who appeared to be a server and asked if there was someone handling the bar. She proceeded to check the restaurant, returning to tell me she was in the restroom. After waiting an additional 5mins I get up and leave. Getting in my car I call the restaurant and asked to speak to a manager. 20mins later, still listening to the hold music I go back into the restaurant, ask for the manager and proceed to show "Matt" how long I had been on hold. I informed him of the HORRIBLE NO SERVICE I received. Matt did not at all seemed moved, did not ask if there was something I wanted - all I got was an attempt to justify why the bar server was not at her station. He did agree that my experience was unacceptable. I informed him that all that had to be said was " I don't want your money" and I would have kindly left. The restaurant was not busy, wait staff was walking around; some sitting down eating. Came to Applebees and my friend ordered a long island ice tea and in the picture on the menu there was a tiny plastic sword pierced through the lemon and when it was brought to the table along with other people's long islands there were no tiny swords in said lemons therefore we couldn't sword fight I'm highly disappointed read more

I don't know what all of the Applebees are up to, but the one in Three Rivers seems to be taking a nose dive. The portion sizes have shriveled even though the prices haven't. The 2 for $25 menu now offers one side, rather than two. Some of the glasses have gone to plastic. The napkins and drink cozies are also cheap brown paper as of this review. Normally a good place to eat. My husband and I ordered carside to-go tonight and received terrible service. Nancy took our order and was extremely rude and short with me. She told us it would be 25 minutes, we didn't receive our food until an hour after I called. She greeted us to take payment, took a long time to return, only to inform us that they had NO salad so they had to make another side quickly. We still gave them the benefit of the doubt because it's a busy Friday night. When we finally received our food there was a long hair in the appetizer. My husband tried to take it in to have it replaced but our server, Nancy, avoided him. Several other employees informed her and she would not come out to take care of it so someone else did. I've been here at least 3 times when I used to live in Three Rivers. Service was ok when I came here back on 8/9/13 the night before my 10 year HS reunion. They got sports pictures of Three Rivers sports. I played JV football back in 2000 when I was a sophomore in HS. I wore #87 and you'll see me in the team picture. Stopped in after a football game on a very busy night. All the staff was very friendly and welcoming instead of appearing stressed out. I asked the host why we were still waiting and he was very rude. He gestured around like it was obviously because all the tables were full. I asked why they were filling all the tables with smaller parties instead of putting them together for us. He said they weren't putting them at tables and that everyone else had been sat at a booth. Everyone. For the last hour. Not one party left a table. Everyone who came or went was at a booth. Really... I told him I thought we'd just go elsewhere. If they couldn't accommodate us, they should've said so to begin with. We definitely will not be back. We then waited another 10-15 minutes for another one to come and we waited at least 25-30 minutes for our food to get to our table. For what we ordered we expected the food to be good but were disappointed when we actually got it. The chicken on the Cesar salad was dry and the salad itself was small for the price. I'm usually the guy that gives a $15 tip.But not today. i gave a $4 tip and that was $3 to much. The 8oz steak was about 5.5oz and instead of two sides you now only get one. We had to ask for steak knives and steak sauce. waitress was completely inatentive even though the place wasnt busy.
