This was a perfect Applebees experience. The food was exactly what I was expecting, the server was on top of things, and I was able to be in and out in 30 minutes. Was this an outstanding meal or one that's going in my top 10? No. But it was perfectly, consistently mediocre in the best possible way and just what I wanted.

I love Applebees and this location is awesome! The staff is always nice and friendly, they have great deals and the bartenders are great at making you feel like family. The prices and flavor is always on point here.

I really enjoy this Applebees. I'm not the biggest fan of Applebees but my friend and family are and I never have a bad experience. I think it's the menu that seems to never change every time I randomly show up. I'm just tired of the same thing every time since I've been a kid. The service is always fine, nothing outstanding but nothing horrible. The appetizers being half off and the dollar mar-no-Rita that they always have is boring. Other than that, it's a chill spot. It's just like any other Applebees and they're all just fine.

In comparison to the Applebees at Largo, this one is more tranquil ambience. Our waitress Deon was very nice and friendly since the start. I asked for a really sweet drink rec and they brought me a strong Long Island--It was hella sweet I loved it, they mentioned it had 5 of something, can't remember now, LOL. I ended having 2 and my friend had 2 of some that had 'Mama' in the name, no clue. Deon, also personally made our drinks which we appreciate. They still have all you can eat boneless and I'm so glad I didn't miss out of the experience. My friend and I tapped out at the 3rd serving. Your first plate includes 7 boneless & your other servings are 4c. I tried the Garlic Parmesan first(soggy & too greasy) , then Buffalo (taste like Red Hot sauce) and lastly Asian chili(i hated the taste, reminds me of carry-out beef but can't remember the name of, I just don't like flavor it got). Buffalo for the win, fries were good, not soggy and crisp was leveled. The coleslaw portion only came with first plate and I would prefer that over the ranch that tastes like blue cheese, idk. Lastly, we used the restrooms and while you see a lil bit of mess, for the most part these were clean and smell REALLY nice, like a whole raspberry fragrance. I don't usually eat at Applebees(once a year) but I think I could come back to this location next year.

My daughter and I were in the area trying to decide where to grab a bite. She hasn't had Applebees in years. So we decided to give it a try. The last time I was here I tried the oriental chicken salad. It was okay last time so I went with that again. And again it was okay. For an appetizer we tried the chicken wonton tacos which was the star of the meal. My daughter tried the garlic Parmesan wings. Which she did not enjoy. Along with the four cheese Mac & cheese. Which looked like they boiled some pasta and sprinkled the cheese on top and served it just like that. I failed to get a picture before we sent all of her food back. The greeters were good and our waiter Zachary was awesome I'm not giving up on Applebee's however it isn't one of my first choices.

Tonight, we decided to treat ourselves to carryout. We ordered online, which was quite easy. Since Applebee's was having a special on shrimp, we ordered the 8 oz. Sirloin with green beans and mashed potatoes and of course the $1 shrimp (a dozen fried shrimp). As soon as I left the door and made it halfway down the road, I received a text. I texted back that I was on the way and texted when arrived. The young man who came out, was very polite and courteous and advised my order will be out shortly. I didn't think to check my order before I left, since it was only 1 order. As soon as I got my order, I drove home, which is less than 10 away from the restaurant. My food was hot, and kept well. The only that was a disappointment was to only find 11 pieces of shrimp. I would give the server 5 stars . Quality of Food Total Satisfaction cost you stars due to promising to serve 12 pieces of shrimpand ended up 1 less.

What you see is what you get at Applebees. Please don't come here expecting more than what it is. I prefer Applebees over TGI, Olive Garden, etc. it's definitely way better quality. My tip is to also go when they're not super busy so you can get better service and food! My meal was delicious! Would only come back to this one or the one in Columbia. Location also matters!

We stopped by in hopes of a quick cheap dinner. Let me preface this with saying that attentiveness is so important. Upon entering the restaurant, we waited a minute too long to be greeted by the young servers. Once seated, it took over five minutes for our waitress to greet us at our table. We ordered our drinks, I decided on a red sangria and waters were served also. The appetizer was mozzarella sticks and they were freshly made but the after taste was bitter as if they were cooked in old oil. Finally, the entrees are served but without napkins and silverware. We waited over 5 minutes for the silverware which was a bit annoying because we were both ready to dig in. Now, his food seemed to be fine. My food however, was served with mushrooms that I asked be removed. The chicken and shrimp was cooked well temperature wise. However, both were lacking the bourbon flavor ... the meal was rather plain. The bill comes and we pay. $60 for a blah experience. I will not return.

Pappas in Cockeysville came up in a couple of influencers' lists, so we made the 1 1/2 hour drive north to experience it for ourselves. We arrived at 11:30 on a Sunday morning and chose to sit on the restaurant side (versus the sports bar side). Our meal started with soft rolls right out of the oven and vinegar-y cucumbers. My wife had some them while I passed on them for I don't like cucumbers. Obviously, we later ordered the single crab cake entree with two sides ($33.99). I chose the fries and the up-charge for a Caesar salad while my wife picked the coleslaw and mashed potatoes. The crab cakes did not disappoint! Even though it was a hot day outside, they kept the restaurant very cold. After we ate, I didn't notice it as much because I was so full. A final note is the lunch crowd started coming in around 12:15pm.

Locales and visitors enjoying a Monday dinner - crab cakes or pasta seemed to be popular. The latter may be attributed to the $2 pasta discount on Mondays. Meh- why "Oprah" would order her crab cakes from here when the crab is not from Maryland, right? Once I heard that news from the waiter ( I asked, it was not volunteered) I opted for the local soft shell crab special. ( despite it not being season, I should have known better. It was a puny crab with hardly any meat and it was not properly cleaned either. Sides of overcooked brocolli and asparagus. Baked potatoes looked liked yesterday's overcooked option. My colleagues enjoyed the crab cakes which were large portions- should be for $40+ each. Service was friendly, food took too long- it was a long wait for mediocre overpriced food.

We sat at the end of the bar and had to wait a few minutes to order. They don't have a beer menu, so you will have to eyeball the drafts as you come into the bar. The music was loud old-skool hip hop, which I love. There was also some great R&B. They have two pool tables constantly occupied by players who had brought their own queues. It was fun to watch. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, the husband ordered wings and french fries. The chicken quesadilla was delicious, served with salsa and sour cream. The wings were a little dry but the fries were great. I was going to give Freddie's 4 stars until I woke up the next morning and saw the 18% gratuity charged to my bill. I had not seen it and had tipped 20% so my server got a large unintended tip. I will not be coming back to Freddie's but at least now I know how they roll.

This was a nice and spacious event space with high top tables and chairs in addition to a long bar area. There were flat screen TVs mounted on the walls, so checking out the latest sporting events was not an issue. We got our bingo cards and dabblers and looked over the menu to order. There were two menus; the brunch menu and the traditional CVP menu. We got something from both: the CVP wings (mild), with tater tots from the traditional menu and paired it with the bottomless brunch drink package, which included your choice of house Bloody Mary, mimosa, screwdriver or Natural Light draft beer (you have to stick with one choice). The servers were pleasant and we placed our orders at the bar. The food arrived in about 30 minutes, but was warm, not as hot as I wanted. The wings were cooked well with a mild buffalo sauce and the tater tots came in a small metal bucket; enough for up to 4 people. They were fresh and not greasy, just wished they were hotter. For the bottomless brunch drink package, I chose the screwdriver and a pleasant server came over to our table and put a wristband on me so that I could walk up to the bar for refills. The vodka was well vodka, but I didn't have a headache the next day, so that was good! The upstairs area seems to be an event space. The downstairs area was the main bar with tables as well. All in all, CVP was ok for the event I attended and may visit again in the future.

I came to Charles Village Pub twice for trivia finals in March & September 2023. Unfortunately, I was from the businesses in the southside division of trivia (relative to Baltimore), which is various ones in Anne Arundel & Howard County. It's unfortunate it was always here or on the northside of town. The current finals location is even a bit further from my AA County home than here, but I was happy that they at least changed so that Charles Pub didn't get a bunch of business. The place has a somewhat small upstairs area and especially small for 20 finalist trivia teams of 4+ people. Both times I did eat lunch here. Wings were pretty good, but nothing to write home about. But it's very slow to get service. One of the people in my party was getting very upset about water refill or something as the staff kept forgetting to check on him. Also, the bill couldn't be split, and that was also chaotic. That was on the 1st visit. 2nd visit was even a bit worse. We were squeezed in the bar area. One of us had to stand as there wasn't enough room for all 5 of us basically the last to get there although ultimately there was some shifting and everyone got to sit, but it shouldn't have been this overcrowded to begin with. I think I was able to pay individually this time as we were individuals at the bar as opposed to a table, but I noticed this extra charge on top of tax, like some inflation fee on top of what is posted on the menu for the price roughly a buck or two more. I don't like how this business runs this. Just raise the menu price; I don't like the hidden fee. If the trivia was coming back here for finals, I would make sure to eat an early lunch beforehand and not give Charles Pub a dime. Only positive was the pretty good wings; why it doesn't get the dreaded 1-star.
