Dollar Tree made a HUGE MISTAKE by raising their prices! I rarely shop there now for events, party…read moresupplies, office needs and basic pantry items. The only purchases I've made in last 12 months have been for Hallmark Brand cards and note packs needed for business correspondence when emails were not appropriate. The cards are a still a bargain at 2/$1.00, $1.00 each or packs for $1.00, depending on styles and sizes! Raising their per item cost by 25% has sent me to other retailers who continue to beat their inventory on Unit Pricing, Brand Name Merchandise and overall value. I predict Dollar Tree will be DEFUNCT by 2025. The CEO's are short sighted and lack a business understanding of their customer base! Their coupons policy is awful too!

Their selection is great too. The store seems to be pretty organized when I go in to shop. I have had great experiences with the employees. One employee in particular, her name i believe was Dawn. I was amazed at how caring she was. I bought 3 gallons of water along with other items and I didn't want the gallons in a paper bag so I told her I would put my items in my car and I would be back. She really got my two remaining gallons and walked to my car with me. She was very friendly and mainly, she didn't have to do that! . She really went above and beyond. It's been rare occasions when I have walked in and they were empty on certain aisles.. it's always good to have a dollar tree around you.

Nothing else I saw was a bargain, but the ole lady managed to run up the bill to $60.00. She'd go for fried ice cubes if they sold 'em. The cashier was not friendly at all. The store was empty. No surprises there. I'll have to keep the old lady on a tighter leash next time, assuming there is a next time. Probably won't be. Maybe I can convince her there is no such thing as Dollar General.

The best thing about Just A Buck is the staff -- they are unfailingly nice and helpful. I am not a "browser" kind of shopper but I always visit just to see what they have and because interacting with the staff is such a pleasure. Beats the local Dollar General by a mile.

The place is loaded instead with a bunch of flimsy, cheap, tacky-looking import junk. The toiletries and food items are dangerously near their expiration dates, so check carefully, and the prices on both are the same, if not more, than you'd find at the local drug store and supermarket.

Thankfully, I got to eat some food for my 30$ lunch.
