We have a Frigidaire Professional Series refrigerator freezer combo which is about 6 feet wide and built-in. A neighbor has the same setup and referred Hubert to us. Because this appliance is built-in, it requires somewhat special expertise to remove and repair. Because Hubert has repaired these before, he has equipped himself with the proper equipment and knowledge to fully repair this appliance, and as such we have relied on him more than once for repairs.  Appliance Care has been very responsive to our phone calls when there is an issue, and Hubert responds to our requests in a timely manner. He makes every effort to do it right, is very trustworthy and straightforward with the work that needs to be done and the cost of repairs. Just had my dryer repaired by Hubert with Appliance Care. Mr. Hubert called to let me know he would arrive in ten minutes. Mr. Hubert diagnosed and explained the situation. I had initially contacted another appliance repair person to help me with my stove because the electrical panel was malfunctioning. This gentleman couldn't help me because he didn't work on gas appliances, so he referred me to Appliance Care. You know their reputation must be solid when another repair company recommends them. When I called them, it was very refreshing to have someone from an office answer the phone (as opposed to leaving a message on someone's cell phone.) They made an appointment for me for the next day with a window from 10:00-noon. Hubert showed up at 10:00 on the dot and was such a kind gentleman. When he opened the back of the stove, he immediately said, "I found the problem!" He showed me that a relay had become unplugged which had created a short in the electrical panel. He cleaned the relay, which was nearly rusted shut, plugged it back in and everything was fine. I was so incredibly relieved because I was bracing myself for an expensive repair or having to replace my old stove altogether. Hubert could have easily overcharged me to replace the entire electrical panel, but he didn't. He kept things simple and very inexpensive. I have now added Applicance Care as a contact number in my phone because I never want to lose them! read more

3 Christmas Miracles in 2 trips! Hubert is the best repairman ever! Not only did he fix my 28-year-old oven, quickly, but while he was here he looked at my 28-year-old microwave that had died the week before the oven. He just happened to have the right part in his car and fixed it too! My dryer was on its way out, but was still alive and working for the last year, he looked at it, quickly diagnosed it was the motor, and had the new part for me the next week. Instead of having to buy 3 new appliances that won't last as long, Hubert not only saved my older models but saved me a ton of money. Herbert serviced our Speed Queen washer after it got jacked up during our move. He was courteous and knowledgeable and identified the problem quickly. A part was needed to fix it totally, but Herbert was able to fix it enough during that visit to stop the high pitch squealing. Hubert showed up on time to install a replacement over the range microwave oven. I was replacing it because I had been told that the broken hinge for the door could not be repaired. He said that he thought he COULD fix it with 2 new rivets if I was sure that the microwave oven was otherwise working fine. In the end, Hubert was able to pop 2 new rivets and the door works great. He replaced 2 light bulbs as well. The cost was only about $135 and I was able to return the new one for $299. He also told me never to open the microwave door while it is cooking. Hubert said he would be there by 10am. No problem, repair people are always late. Not him. He was there early and done by 10. I was ready to buy a new microwave but he said my model was worth repairing. Instead of $650 on a new one his repair was $208. A bargain. He also taught me technics to extend the life of it. Like the other reviewer I too knew what the problem was with my range. Told the lady answering the phone to send the part with the repair tech, gave her model #, and scheduled a few weeks out. Repairman arrived without the part and then tried to charge me to diagnose what had already been diagnosed. Will not be using this company! read more

This review is for Appliance Care in general; NOT for our repair tech Hubert, who was actually very polite, helpful, and professional. He is the only reason the place gets two stars instead of one. We needed a simple repair on the frame for a two year-old microwave. It never should have broken in the first place, and if we were handier or more "in the know" about appliances, we could have fixed it ourselves. Frigidaire has customers' hands tied, though, once the first year of ownership is over. You can't even TALK to customer service. They route you straight to the repair shop. Unfortunately, Appliance Care was the only recommended one in our area. The receptionist straight-up lied to us on the phone. Not only would she not even attempt to just order the part without sending someone out (we told her exactly what needed to be done), but she quoted the wrong price for the service calls. (Due to the scam that the industry is running here, the tech had to come out at least twice--completely unnecessary.) Once here, Hubert did his best to smooth everything over and was great until weeks later, when the problem was finally fixed. If there is any possible way to avoid these liars, do try! Better yet, hopefully you have the skills to fix or troubleshoot your own appliance issues. Shame on this industry for taking advantage of the fact that most people cannot. read more

Told me to get a surge protector for my fridge since my power used to go out a lot and that when ovens go out it's can be because the self clean feature was used. Who knew?? Can't say enough good things about Appliance Care. We were having issues with using our Thermodore hood. We thought we would need a new control panel. After searching and calling for quotes to get our side-by-side fridge fixed as it stopped cooling and freezing, I went in Frigidaire's website to find Appliance Care posted as a authorized serviced to work on their products. I called at 4pm and the receptionist was able to get us an appt with a noon-2pm window. This was amazing cause all the other places had Saturday as next available day. Wow is all I can say! I bought a brand new washer for my new home and it was DOA. I was so very disappointed having just moved and to my dismay the tech told me that he would have to order parts and that the manufacturer Electrolux could take several weeks. To my surprise, I received a call just a couple of days later - my parts were in! They scheduled me for a new appt the same week. On both occasions, I found the technician Hubert, to be professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He even took his shoes off immediately upon entering our home without being prompted! I couldn't have asked for better service. We have an older washing machine so I was well prepared for the tech, Hubert, to say he would have to repair it with a part that was more expensive than it was worth. The machine didn't turn on at all. When he opened it up he thoroughly explained what he was looking for and what he was checking out. When he inspected it, he found a component had come loose from a circuit board and was laying on top of the motor. He could've easily missed it and made us buy a whole new part. Instead he said don't worry I can just solder this back on. Not only did it work, he also checked the pump out and removed a coin and tightened it up. The machine is now sounding and working great.
