I have had Mike Brockman to my house a few times to fix our refrigerator and dryer. He is an excellent repairman, reasonably priced and a gentleman. As a woman, I felt safe allowing this stranger into my home. He is no longer a stranger, but a trusted appliance repairman. I will be very sorry to see him go one day when he retires. Although I didn't end up hiring Mike, I wanted people to know how honest he is. After doing some canning on an older cook top, it quit working. I tried resetting it in the electrical box to no avail. After speaking to Mike in a pretty lengthy phone call, he didn't think my issue was the cook top itself, he thought it was an electrical issue. He said he could come out and check it out for a $175 house call ( we live in rural Washougal) but he was pretty sure he would only be telling me we need an electrician and we'd be out the $$. I thanked him for being forthright and we ended up consulting an electrician and Mike was right! It was a minor electrical issue. I will keep Mikes phone number handy though for future need on our aging appliances. read more

Listened to what was going on, figured it out and found a different problem that I didn't know about, then went and got the parts and fixed it that day. Our 20 year old Kitchenaide refrigerator was not getting water into the ice maker. It wasn't a frozen line that was stopping it, so we thought it needed a new valve. I contacted Brockman's and Mike came out within a couple days. We thought we'd have trouble finding someone to look at it, and we we're delighted he could come out so soon. Mike replaced the valve and checked for leaks. He had to replace a couple other parts because of leaks which was not surprising since the refrigerator is 20 years old. He was very efficient and thorough about getting the work completed for us. I felt confident in all he did. I highly recommend this company. read more

This is the appliance repair place everyone wishes they had access to! Mr. Brockman was able to accommodate my schedule, my barking dog, and my napping infant! I was that horrible customer that said "Oh, while you're here,will you check my dryer" and he did. And then when he came back to install the part he had to order for my washing machine I did it again with my dishwasher. And he did. Such a kind person. Mike does an great job of both fixing the problem AND taking care of the customer. My Samsung clothes dryer was squealing to beat the band and Mike diagnosed the pulley wheel bearing issue in the first 3-5 minutes of arriving (Plus he had called as promised to alert me of his show-up time) He quickly arranged for the replacement parts...picked them up and replacing the failed components. Mike Brockman is the most honest person you could ever have come into your house to fix an appliance. I had another company come out first and they told me I needed a new motor for my washer. I almost got a new washer because the cost of a new motor and labor would have been almost $500. I almost got rid of a perfectly good washer based on that diagnosis. Mike came out knowing that I had been told I needed a new motor and found that I just needed a small part for my washer to be fixed and good as new.
