This has been a year of curious beeps in my house (first world problems!). This was one that didn't involve ripping wires out of the wall. I was awakened by a series of beeps with an error code F16 coming from my 5 year old range. Why in the middle of the night? I wasn't even using it! So I flipped the breaker off and in the morning started calling appliances repair companies. Ori at Appliance Champ was the only one to not only reply promptly, but present a fair diagnostic fee and appointment time. He was polite and very meticulous about solving the problem. He promptly picked up parts and came back to my house. Watching him work showed that he took the job very seriously. Ultimately, the replacement part didn't work because of the discontinued product line where an old part won't talk to the new one, unless you replace both ($$) but oddly enough the beeps stopped. He thought perhaps unplugging and re-plugging everything, cleaning the connections, etc solved it or at least will hold it over a bit longer. Well it lasted 5 more months! In that time I could research new ranges and find a deal! He was very helpful and I recommend him to my neighbors whenever people have appliance issues. read more

Needed to replace refrigerator thermostat. Ordered replacement part from appliancechamp.com. Two days later, they sent me an email stating - without explanation - that my order was cancelled. I emailed support asking for an explanation, but no response as of yet. There was a "reorder" button in the email, but my part is now priced over 10x the price on my original order. so they sent a guy out for a broken coin op washer. I had the main panel open and he said for sure its the board. ok how much he said about 145, then with no explanation he went behind the washer and pulled up on something and there was a loud clack and he said i forced it. At the time i did not know why he was doing it. He then said you need an actuator too. Not knowing what he did i said how much is that he said about 70. So he comes to the door with an estimate of over $400 for the parts and his labor, including the broken actuator. The loud clack was him breaking the actuator?/! I paid for the service call and told him to take a hike. you decide. He was here a week ago not a month ago, he is using AI to write as he is not even close to that articulate in person, and there is not requirement to replace the actuator upon replacing the board. . Never in my life had a worst experience when calling for a service. Should have checked the Better Business Bureau companies list before deciding for this one. Through the repair process I noticed Im being highly charged so I ask the owner for receipts to what he answers defensively. At the end of the service I asked for itemized receipts to check what exactly I was paying for so I was met with the threat that they were going to remove the part installed. Even before I asked for written list of service way before the service was done. Apparently he was unable to justify the charges. Late Friday night, I attempted to schedule a repair with three different companies through the email associated with each of their websites. After the weekend, Appliance Champ was the only shop that called me back on Monday morning to discuss the details I had provided in my email and confirm the make and model number of the appliance. We scheduled a repair for the following day. Ori arrived on time with appropriate new parts, performed a quick diagnostic to confirm the problem, and gave me a specific reasonable price for the repair. I gave Ori the go-ahead and he had the repair completed within the hour. I couldn't be any happier or more satisfied. MISLEADING COMPANY!! I am so disappointed in the lack of service and customer service provided by this company, specifically Ori. Our refrigerator fan motor was no longer working and had to be replaced. I spoke to Ori several times on the phone today to get a quote and determine how soon they can repair our refrigerator. He was initially helpful on the phone. Ori informed me that if the part is ordered by today (Thursday), it will come tomorrow Friday (not sure of exact time during day), and repair could be done by Saturday, the latest. other companies were telling me they can fix our refrigerator next week. Who wants to be without a functioning refrigerator that long? Not me, so I decided to proceed with this company. After the technician did the diagnostic of our refrigerator, he stated to me that they can probably do the repair on Monday. I informed the technician that I was told otherwise by Ori via phone earlier. I called Ori back while the technician was still at my house to understand why he told me Saturday for the repair if that could not be done. Ori was now singing a different tune stating that he can't guarantee Saturday, etc. I told him it's not fair that he gave me false hope and is now retracting. We went back and forth on the phone for a bit. Ori told me I should go with the other company I mentioned to him. That was rude to even say to a customer. I appreciate him making it right by not charging us the diagnostic fee but I really hate that I was lied to and mislead. read more

I'm an HVAC contractor with 13 years experience, but I stop at household appliances. By the way our refrigerator sounded, it sounded like it had a failed bottom main baring on the motor. I fully expected to be told we'd need a new fan motor in the refrigerator. Ori quickly had the refrigerator apart and the blower out- showing it to be covered in ice. Motor was fine. Our 2 year old leaves the door open for too long too often and causes an icing condition. He scraped the ice off, performed a quick maintaince check and put everything back. He was awesome. I have to write these guys a review because their customer service is so far superior to other companies I have worked with in Miami. We hired them to repair our clothes dryer and then after that a wine refrigerator. They are fantastic at communicating, they keep you informed about the status of repairs, how far away their technicians are they so you don't have to ask questions because they are keeping you posted every step of the way. The first repair they did for us we had the issue recur and they came back and fixed it without question during the warranty period.
