They were able to take payment over the phone which was convenient. They were able to get a technician out the next day, less than 24 hours from when I contacted them. The agent I spoke with gave me the name and phone number of the technician so I was able to verify who was coming to the house. The tech was very professional and very polite, he did a great job. The dryer on my stackable went out so I called Emporium. I was told the dryer was trashed so Rob, the owner, sold me a "reconditioned" Whirlpool stackable. His reconditioned model was dented and had rust and the only reconditioning he did was to replace some broken part. Nothing was reconditioned. Naturally just a month or two and the dryer stopped working. He came and "fixed" it but disabled it until I paid him $168. Wow that tells you a lot about the guy. I paid $672 plus $100 delivery cost for that junk unit. I could have purchased a brand new one for$1100 delivered You get what you pay for. This company is a ripoff. Great company. My dishwasher started leaking on a Saturday night and I of course was schedule to go out of town the next evening. Appliance emporium was out first thing the next morning. They diagnosed the issue and after looking up parts and labor advised me that this one probably was not worth fixing as it would be more than 2/3 the cost of a new one to fix my 7 year old unit. but if I wanted them to they would get the part and fix it as well. ***CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!!*** I found this business on Craigslist and called regarding a Kenmore Elite Dryer that was not heating. The wife answered and I was told her husband (the repair person) could be out today - he was on his 3rd call. She claimed they are doing what they can to help people given the current Coronavirus situation. It sounded like a compassionate response. NOT! I was told her husband works on Kenmore Dryers all the time and can actually "fix them in his sleep." I asked if she had an idea what it may cost for a dryer that is not heating. She said "somewhere around $150 or maybe $175." My wife scheduled the appointment and met Rob at our house. I had reservations because my wife would be by herself and some repair people have a tendency to take advantage of such situation. At any rate, Rob told my wife the high limit fuse was out and the cost to repair was $226. My wife contacted me and I shared what the Rob's wife quoted. They called his wife and she confirmed she provided an estimate of $150-$175. Rob's wife mentioned the lowest they would go is $215. My wife went ahead and paid that amount. This rating merits zero stars. People across Denver metro deserve to know who they are working with. I also think it's important to call out a dishonest business. Highly recommend this unicorn company. Rob and Christine are great. Rob came to repair my washer and the error code said the pump was bad. Then he turned the washer on and the awful noise indicated a bearing was going and at that point there was no sense in putting any money into the old washer. Rob gave me a great price on a refurbished one that included delivery, installation and removing the old one. The first time I used the replacement it looked like there was a leak and Rob practically flew up here to fix it. On a Sunday! Turns out the washer was absolutely fine, there was a clog in the drain. I had a washer that had a tear in the drum and other problems and needed to be replaced. However, the stackable dryer on top was still good. I was told by other companies that I would have to get the same brand to keep the dryer, or get a new set. Rob found me a used, but great condition, washing machine at a very reasonable price, delivered it, squeezed into the tiny space, took out the old machine, stacked the dryer on top of the new one, and bolted it in place (wasn't the same brand, but he made it work). Owner showed up to fix three items: fridge door not closing squarely, a dishwasher leaving gunk on dishes, and washing machine not spinning fast enough leaving clothes fully wet. He spent PLENTY OF TIME messing around with the items, but also far too much time on bragging about his sweet hot-rod parked outside (as opposed to a work van, one maybe with tools and competence inside...). After he split none of the appliances worked any better - in fact both the fridge and the dishwasher had parts left out that he neglected to reinstall. Had a fridge we bought here start making a weird noise. From description over the phone, he was sure it was the fan. When he came out to repair, the noise had stopped, but he replaced the fan anyway under the warranty. Two weeks later, the noise started again, so we scheduled another service call.
