I scheduled an appointment with South Metro after my dryer stopped working. I knew that it was due to a lint clog, but didn't feel comfortable fixing it myself. Within two days, Jarred came out to fix the dryer. He was friendly, professional, and in and out within 30 minutes. However, the charge for the service was $275, with a $25 discount as I was a repeat customer, with a total of $250 for a simple dryer clean out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I inquired for additional transparency behind the pricing, I was brushed off and Kristie was dismissive and rude over email.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am deeply dissapointed and absolutely can not recommend. Really disappointed with the lack of professionalism. 2 stars because the issue was indeed solved (oven door glass replaced), -3 stars for the rest of the experience. Our service provider who I also believe is the owner, Kody, was unprepared with some supplies and asked to use my husband's. He left trash and broken glass not only on the counter but also broken glass pieces on the floor. Worst of all - when he reinstalled the glass panel, we were unaware the middle (inaccessible) piece was dirty from when it shattered until after he left, and now have a permanently dirty oven. Beware - they seem helpful, but look elsewhere. FULL disclosure here. I have been meaning to send a review about our experience. We had our LG refrigerator repaired last year due to a faulty compressor. The team assured us that what they were charging for the compressor (which was under warranty) is the amount LG would refund us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They said that it would be best to get your fridge up and running and LG will reimburse you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] LG said that they would never give $622.60 for a warranteed compressor, but would pay what the usual cost of the warranteed compressor would be which was $425. We paid South Metro the full amount of $1,076.49 as they said the 30 minutes of labor would cost us $379.68 and then the cost of the compressor of $622.60. South Metro mentioned that they wanted to look further into the details. I provided everything. A copy of the check for the reimbursement from LG. They did not refund me, but pocketed the difference. Very shady business. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff seems very friendly and assured me that they want to help, but I would make sure if your part is under warranty - go through the steps of getting it replaced in this case, through LG.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a great program. I couldn't speak highly enough about Kody and South Metro Appliance. They have fixed many appliances in my home from my 25 year old Sub Zero fridge to my washer and dryer. They were even able to fix my gas fireplace! They always schedule me quickly and many times have the correct parts on the truck to get us up and running the same day. South Metro appliance does not know how to repair refrigerators. I paid over $1700 for a repair, and they would not honor their warranty. Do not use them for any repair. They are not trustworthy. read more

Our built-in Bosch microwave oven failed in mid-February, and I called South Metro Appliance. Kody came out the same day and diagnosed the problem as a defective magnetron since the oven was buzzing and sparking. Kody ordered a new magnetron and installed it when it arrived 2 days later. The oven worked fine when he left but started buzzing and sparking again the next day. Kody came out again and applied an insulating paint to the area where the magnetron is located. Unfortunately, this didn't solve the problem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Kody came out again and called a technician at Bosch to discuss the issue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The technician said that this was a known problem with this Bosch microwave and that Bosch had determined that "it was not repairable in the field." So, in essence, our $1,400, 7 year old microwave was junk. After Kody got off the phone, he and I discussed the situation, and Kody offered to provide the installation of a new microwave at no cost. And this is after he had already made several trips out to our home at no additional cost, even though he expected to make only one trip. After 5 months of me fighting with Bosch over this issue, they finally shipped us a replacement microwave at a reduced price. And Kody kept his promise and came out and installed our new microwave when it arrived at no cost. For obvious reasons, I would highly recommend Kody and South Metro Appliance. read more

Do not use! They first came to repair my freezer and had to come back with parts. The guy who first made the diagnosis was no longer with the company. I told him that my fridge was not staying cold. He diagnosed obvious problem but did not check for any other defaults. The owner came back a few weeks later after calling me to reschedule a couple of times, and I was very patient, to finally repair the freezer and the freezer died a couple of weeks later. I just filled it with food. The other guy came out and said it was the compressor and they would not standby the mistake from the first guy. Then my fridge completely died. I had to buy a new refrigerator and lost about to $500 worth of food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The owner is very nasty when I asked for some of my money back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Do not recommend. I had asked for Cody to fix both my Monogram GE Refrigerator and LG Washer. Both were repaired, the refrigerator the first time and the washer after two times. It wasn't leaking before he fixed it but it was after he did and he repaired it with a new part. He said he did not charge me for the repair but when another part broke on the refrigerator when he was here, he did grossly overcharge me for the part. Looked it up after he left....it was $19.90 my cost so you know he got it cheaper. He charged me over $280 for it. Will never use him again. read more

I explained to the repair man the issues we've been having with LG refrigerator. How a previous tech, different company came out, diagnosed problem as motherboard and fans weren't working. Got motherboard and asked this company to install. For 10 minutes worth of work they told they charged $180. Not a big deal. However, when I asked the guy if he was going to check the fans after he installed motherboard, he just said it takes 30 minutes to do updates, so wait 24 hours and tell me if it works or not. In addition, he checked the compressor and told me it's so new he doesn't know if it's working correctly. Why would I ever use this company again??!!! read more
