Bear Valley saved me a $300 install fee in and had the parts. This should have been sent a year ago. Just noticed it was in my drafts. Bear valley Appliance was so helpful, told me exactly what to do and sold me the part to do it. It was the last Furnace ignitor he had at the time and he held it in my name middle of winter. These guys are amazing. I've replaced nearly every part on my 15 year old dryer and they have had each one in stock. We used to use them when we were managing an old apartment building and they had the weird plumbing items we needed. They do new parts too. When the clip on the handle on my brand new dishwasher broke, they had the exact part. They also had a new silverware basket I needed. But the best part is their expertise. It is incredible the knowledge in their heads. I can ask about any part over the phone and they know it. If I could give zero, I would. We are seniors, and have not had a working ice maker for years. This company came out, installed an ice maker, said that will be $300.00. It only made a little crushed ice. He came back and said you may need another part, but if you only want cubed, here is how you can make it work. We said cubed is fine. This still did not work, now they say maybe you need several other parts for a few hundred dollars. We called "Rick" and he could care less and hung up on my husband, because needless to say, we are not happy. Send the ice maker back, and give us a refund. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. read more

I would not recommend these people, the guy came out to give me a estimate on my fridge, didn't do much other than turn on/off the fridge a couple time and said it was the mother board that needed to be replaced and would cost around $500 and charged me a trip charge of $68. I contacted another repair place to get a second opinion and they said the compressor was out and the fridge needed to replaced. DO NOT GO WITH THESE PEOPLE, I would have rated them a 0 if i could read more

From these other reviews they seem to be a great parts shop. But they give unabashedly poor service. Had them arrange a time with my tenant to service a stackable full size w/d unit. Bill was almost $400....could've bought a refurb unit with a 1y warranty for that amount. Tech's reasoning was that the first parts he tried didn't work so he kept putting in different parts until he found the problem....and then still charged me for the parts that didn't need to be replaced to begin with. It's like going to a garage for a flat tire and they put in an air filter and a new muffler and then fix the flat and charge you for the air filter and muffler anyway. The owner did refund me $125 of this (although that was a negotiation). Two weeks later there was so much moisture in the laundry area that plaster came off the walls. Turns out the tech didn't put the dryer vent hose back on. Owner tried to say that the tech never pulled out the machine and he wasn't responsible for damages. It sits in a former closet and has 1" on either side. Can't fix the machine without pulling it out. Total joke. Stay away. Unless all you need is parts I guess. read more

Stay away from this company. Repairman showed up and knew nothing about washing machine repair. He called the national repair help line and thenafter 5 minutes found an expensive replacement part to recommend. Another service company then came out and no replacement part was needed. I would tell anyone to avoid this company at all costs. read more

I have such regard for this company. Bruce came and fixed a washing machine for me. He was very involved - made sure that I was entirely happy with the functioning of the machine. He followed up and was extremely concerned that everything about the machine worked just the way it should. I highly recommend this fine company. read more

Well, these folks are great and I mean GREAT !!! In the past I have been in need of fixing something and called BVA and they helped figure out what was wrong over the phone, I have my own business and you sure don't make any money just giving out information but they are doing just that !! On the other hand I do know that giving someone good old fashion Neighborly help goes along way. Just the other day needed their help and got more than the usual "we can come out to have a look and charge a service call then repair etc." when you call other companies. I live up north in Westminster, called them and instead of a $250-300 part, which I thought was the problem, Tim told me a totally different part which cost $20.00 by the way and a place to buy the part so I wouldn't have to go all the way down to their place. I surely would have made the drive just to give back if time wasn't an issue. Give them a call if you need repair or parts if you are like me and do it yourself..they will HELP YOU !!! Impressive! After spending literally hours on the phone with my dryer manufacturer and a bunch of big name home improvement stores, I still couldn't get anyone to help me with the broken part. One call to this business and minutes into the call the gentlemen knew the problem, what part needed to be replaced, and set it aside for me in the store to pick up (that's right...it was in stock and reasonably priced).
