I asked if he wanted to hear the sound. He did not. I left him to it. 35 or so minutes later, he said that he cleaned debris from the pumps, showed me a shard of glass, and when I listened to it running for a few seconds, the sound seemed to be gone. Great. Then he said it would be $245, his minimum labor charge. That sounded rather steep to me. He lowered it to $220 (after pretending to text a boss, which I don't think he has), but that was still more than I felt was fair for the work he did. The next time I ran a load of dishes the sound was there again. I emailed him, attaching a short video of the noise happening, and he wrote that he would come by to check it out. I asked for times that would work for him, and at that point he stopped replying. After that, I asked for a partial refund. Again, no response. I feel a bit ripped off, paying $220 when the problem wasn't even resolved. So, no, I cannot recommend Davyd/PDX Repair. I suggest looking for a more honorable, experienced appliance repair person, as I will the next time I need one.

He worked very efficiently and gave me a detailed breakdown of what parts had failed, what would be involved in replacing it, how long it would take to get the needed parts, and exactly what the cost would be. When he returned with the needed parts a few days later, I asked if he could look at some issues we had with our kitchen stove, and he very kindly went over all the burners and the oven parts with me, going into the "innards" of the oven to diagnose in detail what was going on. He clearly explained what was going on with our clogged burners, clearing them on the spot, and showing me exactly what was going on with the main oven and broiler igniters (both of which clearly needed replacement; he took photos that showed exactly what was going on inside my oven). When it became clear that the broiler igniter was backordered, he went out on E-Bay to find one that could be delivered within a week. The full repair estimate was VERY reasonable and clearly conveyed to me - and it was less than half of what another appliance repair person had told us (without supporting details) when we tried to fix our stove before. I would heartily recommend OMG and their excellent tech Anton for any home appliance repairs - they're rock stars!!

In doing so they make sure we are properly trained to all the up-to-date equipment/ appliances and processes. They offer top notch support both trough factory contacts and within the company with highly qualified personal to handle any issue. They are a family orientated company. They know they are not hiring employees, but rather real people with lives. They are willing to accommodate you as family of their own. I my opinion (as a tech of 45 years) ARH is a top-notch company to both work for as an employee and to work with as a customer. Calling ARH for any service, whether it be in or out of warranty would be the perfect call. They will be honest/ professional/ qualified, and they will work for you with the factories to obtain the proper service results you expect. This isnt a paid endorsement at all, nor was it encouraged. These are my personal feelings and observations I witnessed with the many years I have worked for this company. I am proud to say I was an ARH tech and proud of every employee and technician who works for the company that allows ARH to be so competitive within the market that most companies can never achieve. Lastly as a former tech, we love treats. So, if you wanna reward your tech, buy him a doughnut, he (she) deserves it. Keep in mind those behind the scenes as well. Former Tech #13/ Brian
