I had a problem with my front-loading, 20-year-old Kenmore washing machine leaking and I couldn't figure out why. Tom found the problem was drainage holes plugged with lime from our hard water. I attempted to mechanically and chemically clear the clogs myself but went too far and punched holes in the bottom of the drainage area. I thought the machine was wrecked but Tom came back out and figured a way to patch the holes. His charge was completely reasonable and waaay cheaper than a new machine. I started having issues with my Dacor refrigerator not cooling enough. Dacor support is pretty bad so I had to just take care of this issue on my own. I am disappointed to find out that Dacor refrigerator is essentially a Samsung. Fortunately, I came across Appliance Repair Services, Tom is the consummate professional. He responded pretty quickly. The refrigerator cooling issue is sporadic so it is quite difficult to diagnose which necessitate Tom to revisit a few times. When he said he stand behind his work, he is true to his word. Due to "interesting" design decisions and parts availability, I decided to replace my gas cooktop (that was down 3 functional burners, out of 5). Seeing the reviews, I called up Tom, and he happened to have some time today to remove the old (Bosch) cooktop and install the (Thermador) replacement. Never met anyone as awesome as Tom!! Tom helped us twice! We have an old Kenmore double wall oven. Has to be about 20 years old. It stopped getting hot a long time ago but thought it was time to get it fixed! We were lucky enough to find Tom here on Yelp. I sent him a text message and within minutes he responded to me. We conversed through texts and I sent him pictures of my oven. Through a few questions he answered, he came the next day with the right parts and fixed both ovens so quickly and it's brand new!! Seriously, we thought we were going to have to buy a whole new oven but nope, Tom to our rescue!! Ok next, moving on. Last night (9/4/23) our Whirlpool Duet washing machine stopped working!! This machine is about 15 years old but has been working great until last night. The electronic panel was not turning on. He charged about half the price other repair guys quoted us who said they had to order part which would take at least 5 days. My microwave door switch was tripping my breaker every time the door was opened. I tried to do a DIY on replacing the switches with bootleg Amazon ones. I hit a wall when my microwave would humm when not I. Use. So I called Tom@Appliance Service Repair for help. Per Tom turns out the Amazon switches were the wrong ones for my microwave (even though Amazon listed them as matching my kenmore model). Moreover, there was a component on the control board that also burned out. Tom replaced both the switch and control board component on the spot and got everything working quick!
