The wallpaper behind the beds was peeling everywhere. The room doesn't have any chair for guests to sit on. Luckily someone brought me a chair when they saw me standing and looking around when they walked by. My partner is a vegetarian and said there were very little options for her. She was given a grilled cheese sandwich for both lunch and dinner on the same day. Definitely needs some improvement if you are going to stay here for any long period of time. After 2 days, my partner was ready for me to break her out of the place. But again, all of staff was super friendly.

I was at Casa Coloma a couple of years ago and asked to be placed back there again. Luckily, they were able to accommodate me. The staff there are very responsive, caring, professional, and kind. They were always very pleasant and friendly, which is amazing to me considering the verbal abuse they are subjected to by people who do not want to be there. Whenever interacting with me, they always made me feel like I was their only patient. Whenever passing a staff member in the hall, I was aways greeted with a smile. Tanner, the Administrator, made himself very available to the patients, and seemed to know everyone's name which I felt was very impressive, considering the number of patients they had. I want to thank everyone there for the great care I received. I especially want to thank Meron, Maria, Cristina, CJ, and Brittany. They were some of my CNA's and nurses. They made my stay there very comfortable. A special thank you Marcy and Rachel who are 2 of the physical therapists I worked with. They were both very patient and extremely kind and caring to everyone. They were successful in getting everyone to move, even the ones that didn't want to. They made group therapy very fun and I, actually, looked forward to it. If you, or a loved one needs to be placed in a facility like this, I would highly recommend Casa Coloma.

My mom stayed here most nights and I bought her a reclining foldable chair and they did not complain. Facility is also super clean and does not have a funny smell. I work EMS so I've been to a few SNF and this one seems to be the best. Wooden floors = no lingering smell = easy to clean. Bathroom is clean. The staff at first took a couple of days to adjust to my dad's medications, they forgot to give him his eye drops etc but after a while they were on it. They also gave me a sandwich and beverages which was very much appreciated as I visited my dad for 4-6 hours. There were also times where I stayed past the suggested visiting hours and never got a hard time from them about it. My only complaint would be the parking. It is tiny and when it's full it could be hard to find parking on the street. But honestly most residents here never really got visited as often as I did with my dad so it wasn't a huge issue. I'd like to thank the Filipino staff that took care of my dad as well as the rest of the staff including the physical therapists. This was the only facility that accepted his insurance and would manage his diet well enough so that he could remain off of insulin. I was worried placing him so far from us (about 30 minutes away). Since being in their memory care his cognition had so significantly improved thanks to their structure, and continual social interaction. He just recently had to go to a different facility temporarily for physical therapy. My family noticed in just 3 short weeks at the other facility his mental decline was so significant. He's now back at summereset and in only one day back there he's already doing so much better again. I cannot thank their staff enough for the level of quality care he receives here.

Cons: Unfortunately, the clinical staff here appears to lack extensive experience with complex cases. As an RN managing a complicated spine condition alongside shoulder and elbow injuries, I found that the prescribed rehab exercises actively exacerbated my condition. I reluctantly completed six treatments hoping for improvement, but the final session left me incapacitated for five days and required an urgent care visit. When I cancelled my remaining appointment and clearly explained that the therapy was worsening my injuries, the clinic retaliated. They contacted my Primary Care Physician and falsely claimed I was "rude at all times." I never once raised my voice, used harsh words, or even complained during my sessions. It is incredibly disheartening to see fellow healthcare professionals resort to such blatant dishonesty instead of addressing a negative clinical outcome. I hope leadership investigates this behavior and corrects the record with my PCP.
