I had been looking into liposuction options for quite some time. I had reached out to a handful of practices, but nothing felt completely right and I wasn't excited to take that next step - until I contacted Apres Plastic Surgery. I had not known about Dr Aghayan until I was referred to him by another plastic surgeon that I completely trust (who had done my breast lift/augmentation). With that referral, I decided to reach out right away. I filled out the online information form and within a couple hours, received a call from Samantha. She was fantastic. Easy to talk to, very helpful in answering all my questions, and help me book a consultation the following week. She was one of the main reasons I decided to get excited and get this moving. When I went to the office for my initial consult, I met Samantha in person along with Dr Aghayan. An all around great experience. We discussed my wishlist as well as realistic expectations. Dr Aghayan offered suggestions. Everything was done without pressure. I was completely comfortable and excited! I booked a liposuction (3 areas - abs, flanks and bra area) appt for the following month. Everything from expectation of surgery to post-op was explained clearly. Then returned for a Pre-op appointment where we finalized all of the details. During that appointment, based on recommendations and suggestion by Dr Aghayan, but nothing pushed or pressured, I decided to add a BBL to the plan which involved enhancement to my rear by using the material removed from my own body during the Lipo. (Fact: It's like the golden magic solution. You either remove it and never use it or decide to inject it elsewhere and create a beautiful round posterior. I have to say it is the one thing I never knew I needed, but I am so completely thrilled that I did and I would've been disappointed if I didn't. It is amazing. Completely natural but perfectly enhanced and a confidence boost). When surgery date came, everything processed just as I had expected, smooth and easy from start to finish. Just as it was done before, everything was explained and I felt very in-the-know. The surgery staff was excellent and Samantha had made sure that I had all my post operation care ready to go. Recovery was also exactly as expected. I am currently two weeks post operation. Anyways, after our original appointment date, she has rescheduled just my CONSULTATION 5 times now. I still haven't seen her in person yet because of her taking vacation days and "having a busy schedule." I definitely contacted her way before any other clients who have surgery dates at the beginning of 2017. I know for a fact because one of my friends who is seeking the same surgery contacted her in July of 2016 and was put on pretty much the same timeline that they wanted to put me on now (Consultation in September, surgery early 2017). It has been more than half a year now since I initially contacted her team and I've never even spoke with Juliana. I've only ever got her admins on the phone, which was always to change my appointment time to make it more "convenient" for them. If they are THIS willing to push client's needs aside for vacation days and other miscellaneous events, it has made me severely hesitant and apprehensive to have her perform my surgery. She'd probably just make my boobs whichever way she wanted and not take my thoughts into account just because that would be "convenient" for her. During my initial consultation, Dr. Streu suggested and then encouraged me to undergo a Fat Grafting Body and Abdominoplasty. She further suggested I have the surrounding skin removed. Being a petite woman, I had never considered having any type of abdominal reduction before; however, due to Dr. Streu's encouragement, I agreed to have this procedure done. I never asked for this procedure that cost me $10,822.40, subjected me to pain and major swelling for 4 months and left me with an unsightly scar. It has now been over 6 months since my surgery and there has been no change in my body size. The best part of my experience was being able to trust the skill of Dr. Portuese. He (somehow) transformed my nose into a well-balanced, lovely version of itself. Even though I'm a rather reserved person, I posted my photos on realself.com and hope that will be helpful to someone else who is doing their research into surgeons. I know I spent countless hours looking at photos, figuring out if I could actually go through with changing a facial feature as prominent as the nose. Well, I did it! And here I am just a few months after surgery, and I rarely even think about my nose, it's just that good of a fit! Recovery for me was issue-free (thank goodness!). It was a bit rough to be down and bandaged up for a week, then it was back to the full-time work at the 10 day mark. I'm glad I planned for that amount of time, as it was just about perfect.
