I've been to the original location about 2 years ago and just recently went to their newer location and wow what an upgrade. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and helped guided my 2 other friends and I through the menu. We ended up doing one of their specials where we get an assortment of items from the jump and we got more than enough food for us to split. All of their dips are incredibly fresh, their desserts were nuts.

Was able to stop in here and had an excellent meal. There are two floors here and outside seating, with the upstairs having an open deck too. Hostess will seat you and bring water, and it is also BYOB. Menu had many middle eastern options with dips / sides and entrees. The platters come with choice of two dips for pita so you can try them with your meal. Muhammara was very tasty - good paprika taste and a little sweet with walnuts. Hummus also creamy and tasty. The buttered rice they serve is also so tender and savory. Chicken shawarma also juicy and spiced perfectly. Portion plate is huge so it's a lot of food for dinner. Great spot thanks.

Visited this place with people from work and it was amazing! My boss placed the reservation, which we had to switch dates and they were super nice about it. We came in and had a table on the upper floor which was nice as it felt super private. Since we had a larger group we did a pre-fixed menu where we each selected our entrees but all the rest just came as a part of the menu. The food was DELICIOUS. Everything I tried was very yummy. I had lots of favorites but what I liked the most was the cheese spanakopita and the dips. Would gladly visit again with friends.

Great somewhat of a hole in the wall Mediterranean restaurant. Food is solid. We sat at their outdoor seating, which is pet-friendly and great for a small group. Indoor has a quaint sitting space and great for a date. I had their kebab platter and it was delicious. They also have family dinners you can get if you prefer a bunch of food. This place is BYOB so remember to bring your booze. Service was OK; great server who was super nice, but didn't check on us enough and there were couple of times we were wondering where she was. There should be parking around and not a huge issue.

this atmosphere upstairs makes you feel like you're on vacation somewhere. A great escape from the busy area

Excellent quality of food, helpful and knowledgeable service, stunning atmosphere and overall high value for the price. BYOB is very convenient as there is a wine store a few blocks away on girard. I'll definitely be back.

Apricot Stone has a cozy vibe and is a good place for some local Armenian! Our waiter was new but he's been to the restaurant a ton of times and gave great recommendations. The kebab and schwarma platters were delicious and their bread was my girlfriend's favorite part! She still brings it up often when thinking of Mediterranean to eat.

Great place with true Armenian food - if you like Middle Eastern food you'll love Armenian dishes. Friendly service, hearty portions, great value for money!

My friends and I came here for a little girls night. (We love a good BYOB). It's also always fun to get a few things to share as apps which is exactly what we did. My favorite was the spanikopita. But the trio of dips was a close second! I am not in philly often, but would love to come back.

Absolutely love it here! I'm Armenian so this is comfort food at its finest! My family enjoyed it and I can't wait to go back! Sign up for their texts and you could win a free kabob or a % off for your next dinner!

For some great middle eastern North African Mediterranean food- not AS price hiked inflation as everywhere else and for a really great meal. Cute lil date place if you want to sit on the patio. They have it heated and enclosed in winter or just stay inside the restaurant walls itself too. I remember people used to say that the owners grandma or mom cooked or created the menu and oversaw everything. That was a long time ago. But the food since I remember going is still good quality bi enjoyed it very much. My Moroccan man was very content with the whole meal. Although some prices were pricier than it could have been but eh I wanted to explore the menu and we were hungry. I loved the desserts. Tried em all and took some home

    Manti

Order everything, it's all amazing. But be sure to have the manti and finish with the khataif.

Pretty decent restaurant in the north of Philly with a BYOB option. The dips were very fresh and the lentil burger side is a must to try at Apricot stone. The salad was pretty meh but the falafel is a must try. The service was very prompt and the waiter's suggestions were pretty good. PS: Parking at this place is very difficult so please ensure that you have a booked spot before you drive here!

Food is great but service is a bit slow, probably because the place literally has only 5 tables and one waitress.

Once we got there, we were seated immediately; the restaurant was pretty full at the time. For the pita/hummus, you get a plate of fresh pita and a large varieties of small plates for dipping, all of them unique and delicious. For the grill items, we picked chicken, Whole Dorade and Shawarma-spiced Cauliflower. The chicken is grilled well and tasty; the fish is very fresh and the cauliflower well spiced. For desert, we all had Brown Sugar-Vanilla Soft Serve | Strawberry Apricot Sauce, Pistachios, and Rice Pearls; another great entry. Over all, we liked all the entries; the service is also very nice. There is a 20% service charge in lieu of tips and it's well deserved.

From the outside, it doesn't look like much; in fact, it looks like a bit of a dive from outside. But when you walk in, you are transported. The design of the restaurant is so special - community tables, pillows, tapestries, waterfall features, tiles, and belly dancing. The food was a little inconsistent. We shared many dishes: Bastilla (baked layers of filo dough, eggs, chicken, almonds, sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar); hummus (chickpeas, tahini, crushed garlic, lemon juice, sprinkled with paprika and olive oil, served with pita bread); Spanakopita; salad trio (eggplant salad, cucumber and tomato salad, and carrot salad); lamb tagine (stew of lamb, onions, and roasted peppers topped with honey and served with rice); Moroccan chicken with harissa cumin sauce; mujaddara (cracked bulgur wheat cooked with lentils and caramelized onions); and mint tea. I wish they didn't serve bottled waters, and the food was mostly good but not the most consistent. Our mujaddara wasn't served with the yogurt sauce listed on the menu, and the lamb with the tagine was incredibly fatty, making some of it inedible. The mint tea was really really really sweet - like syrup! I also wish the bastilla had a little less powdered sugar (I like on the dish, but it was A LOT of powdered sugar), and it was quite dry. But the eggplant salad, carrot salad, hummus, and mujaddara (even without the yogurt sauce) were great. I would happily have eaten just those dishes. They were busy - it's a popular place - but service was also a challenge. It took us almost a half hour to get the check and pay. I had to ask for the bill twice and then it still took a while to get it, for it to get picked up, and for it to come back to us. It's pretty bad if I'm considering walking up to the bar to get the check and pay. I loved the ambiance and the character. I loved that you can't tell how amazing it's going to be inside when you see the outside of the building - it's a surprise for sure. Our experience was that the food was a bit inconsistent, but it certainly was a fun meal.

Merion Park Labneh: this labneh is thicker than other restaurants which I really like actually. the photo I insert may be deceiving, as it looks chunky. rest assured, it's absolutely smooth, just a thicker consistency than most labnehs. the spices on it are so so good. I think this is a must get along with a hummus. me and my sister are vegetarian, we share a hummus and a labneh and are decently full after those. we also snack on some small plates for the table (fries and olives) and leave full.
