We live across the street and decided to try this place and it was great!! The middle eastern food was authentic. I was impressed to see a whole list of different Lebanese Zataar breads on the menu and it was perfectly done. The labneh, fattoush salad, and chicken shawarma wrap were delicious. The service was great, the waitress was super friendly, and the restaurant was clean with a nice decor and vibe. I will definitely be coming back soon!

Old Towne and Sanna's is a fantastic spot that perfectly blends Mediterranean favorites with classic Philadelphia comfort food. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, and welcoming, whether you're dining in for a quick bite or a relaxed meal. Every dish we tried was delicious, especially the cheesesteaks, chicken shawarma, and hummus, which were all fresh and full of flavor. Our server, Joe, truly went above and beyond--his friendly, attentive service made an already great meal even better. Affordable, flavorful, and well-run, this place is definitely worth coming back to.

"I am talking about drawing a line in the sand." - Walter Sobchak (The Big Lebowski) This place serves Mediterranean, Middle Easter food, and Pizza? I did not know this before placing my order for pick up but do yourself a huge favor and do not order pizza here. This place may indeed serve good swarma and the sort as they advertise but the pizza looks much better then it is. Something off with the flimsy dough and I was not a fan of the pizza sauce which there wasn't much of but when you tasted it you wish you hadn't. I have been having a hella bad time trying to get decent pizza lately but it is now my time to draw a line in the sand. I will not be ordering pizza again from any place that is not specifically known for great pizza. As always people SYOY!!!

    Great for their calzone!!

I have a tenderness for this place b/c when it's like midnight and you are hungry and have no where to go besides mcdonald's, this is a pretty good place for fast food and ethnic in taste and it opens late. In short it has: wings, shawarmas, gyros, calzones, and pizzas, and even cheesecake- little bit of everything but Chinese food Delivery: They deliver! You can actually do it online on some app and have them come deliver to you! Food: I like their calzone a lot and they do their wings pretty well too. Desserts are little pricey but hey, are you really gonna be wanting that cheesecake after putting down that whole calzone or box of wings, anyways? Calzone doesn't leave you feeling too full or bloated, i like mine with mushroom and broccoli and no peppers. Wings are a little greasy, but what else is new? Service: Pretty friendly people who are attentive and move fast behind the kitchen. Convenience: Very convenient and a safe place. It's located at the corner of Greys Fairy and South and so it's convenient and brightly lit at night if you're worreid about safety.

Marrakesh is one of my absolute favorite places to eat in Philadelphia!!…read more I wish it existed in more cities. This is a multicourse journey through Marrakesh that cannot be repeated anywhere else except for maybe in the real Marrakesh. From the Bastilla pastry, which is DIVINE, to the salads, the chicken and kebabs... all the way to the baklava and tea.... there is no bad bite at Marrakesh. The owners are welcoming and super amenable and make you feel like you're coming home every single time you visit. It's in a odd location, and you may feel like you are making a questionable life decision as you walk up the alley to the door, but when you arrive, you realize that in fact, it was one of the best decisions you've made in years!! When you enter, it's like you've been transported to a beautiful room in Morocco. The music, the decor, even the authentic seating make for an unforgettable experience. And if you get really lucky, you also get to see the belly dancers who are top notch! There is not a single thing I can think of to say that Marrakesh needs to improve. It is a one of a kind experience that I feel everyone should have at least once in life!

I'm so glad my friends wanted to come here to celebrate our Friendsgiving. The food was as good as I remembered , the service as ever warm and welcoming. Since I hadn't been for so long, I ate everything as was prepared - but I'm happy to hear it sounds like they have veg options on their tasting menu. I'm looking forward to trying that my next return. But I couldn't say no to their chicken after almost a decade I highly recommend checking out this business for a delicious family style cooked meal.

It's my mom's favorite restaurant in Philly by a long shot, and maybe even her favorite restaurant in the world. The first time I came, you had to pick one main for the table. We were split between a fish dish and grape leaves and ultimately decided on the fish, but our waitress brought a small portion of the grape leaves for us anyways. They always do something special like that, and it's an amazing touch that makes the experience so special! I like that they've changed it so each person picks a main, as it gives you the opportunity to try more things. Their signature lamb shoulder is great (and I have hated every other lamb I've had), and the fish dishes are always excellent. The best thing imo, though, is the crispy Persian rice! Philly has a lot of amazing food, but Zahav is up there for a reason. If you're lucky enough to snag a reservation it's worth the splurge. Clear space in your fridge for lots of leftovers before you get home!

I decided to go with them because I liked their menu offerings and they had high reviews. We got there at around 530 pm, and it was relatively empty inside. We got seated immediately. The decor is very decorated with rich colors, fabrics, and chandeliers. I sat on an ottoman chair, and the tables looked like large serving platters. There were 3 menus to choose from--the regular menu, the restaurant special, and the prix fix menu that comes with appetizer, 2 entrees and dessert. We opted to order off the traditional menu. I got the grilled lamb platter and my friend had the grilled chicken platter. We had falafels to start. The falafels were alright. They could have been a bit hotter. They came out within a few minutes of ordering, so I assume they had been prepped and weren't reheated before serving. I did like the yogurt dipping sauce and the pickled turnips and cucumbers. But, the grilled platters were the highlight of the night. There was so much food on the platter. We should have just shared. I really enjoyed the tabbouleh and grilled lamb with the rice. There was also a side of pita with hummus. It was just so tasty, and we both had plenty of food to take home. The meals were reasonably priced and we both left feeling full. Would recommend.
