April is one of a kind. I had the unfortunate experience of moving away from this area. At our last session April said I would find another. I am here to say, after a year of searching, no one has come within striking distance of April. As corporate girlie and reluctant driver I spend a lot of time in the same position. Bra straps are not padded for some reason. Additionally, I am one of those people who enjoys being tenderized. I know that is not for everyone but I have never requested light pressure. April is intuitive, her strategy is flawless and restorative. I would float back to work from our sessions, glowing brighter than the sun in OB. I visited other therapists there, April is worth shifting your schedule. My biggest regret is not having at least one 90 minute session but she was easily my favorite biweekly self care appointment. I would teeter on the edge of awareness and sleep with her ability to release the tension from my neck, shoulders and hands. I'm sure I did sleep a few times because I was finally able to relax. "Everyone wants to work in tech"/s for me it is stressful mitigating a constant state of panic over beep boops. I have difficulty letting go and focusing on myself even for a moment. April is the best massage therapist I have ever been to, and I have been to a lot. She is super intuitive. She will find all your tight spots and work to loosen them up, which in turn will make the pain go away. I was suffering from neck pain and lower back pain and she fixed both. I've been a runner my whole life, it's taken a toll on my body, regular massage is now a part of my life. April is amazing, go see her. read more

Awesome little massage place. If you're looking for a day spa type atmosphere, look elsewhere, but if you're looking for a great massage place, this is definitely it! I gotta admit, I'm one to get massages at day spas, and I'm used to the whole spa treatment and environment. I thought it would be that way when I got to this place, but it wasn't... I'm not horridly picky, but it was something I had to get over. I came in with my back in knots. April is such a great masseuse, she worked out all my knots, and massaged all the tension away. She definitely put her muscles into it, as I like my massages extremely firm and hard. She was friendly, and found every tense spot on my back. She also does facials, which I will be trying on my next visit. The only thing that I would have liked was if she used essential oils in her massage, and a better lotion. I didn't say anything, so I'm sure if I asked, she probably would have done it. I used a groupon, so the price was definitely right. This isn't one of those places where they massage you in a chair in a room with tons of people. It's a legit massage place. So the price is very reasonable for this service. April is excellent, and I will be back for many more stress reliving massages! A quick note, she is a one woman team, so if she doesn't pick up the phone, leave her a voicemail, she'll call right back. This place is a little hard to find, it's tucked away in a courtyard of small stores, a block from the beach, so after your massage, a relaxing walk on the beach should be in order :) read more

The best massage I've ever had. I had a ton of knots and tight muscles. April took her time , is very personable, sweet and knows her stuff well. Some of the knots had to be worked out and was a lil uncomfortable when she was working on those spots. At other places I've gone to that tried to work on the knots and tense muscles I'd ways end up bruised and hurting the next day. Not with April my body felt absolutely wonderful after!! Parking there is a little bit of a pain. There's parking in back with a sign posted to call a number when you get there to get a code, that will allow you to park there without worry of being towed. Bottom line I highly recommend April and will use her again for sure. Also in some cases your insurance may cover the massage as a physical therapy but it will depend on what the contract is with her services. My suggestion on that would be to call her and see which ones she's contracted with or what the process is. Thank you April!! read more

April is nothing short of AMAZING! I have had massages all my life and she has actually found a way to work out all my kinks and pains from so much gym and running time. I would absolutely recommend April for your next massage. And do it NOW because she doesn't just make you feel better, but she knows how to actually work your body out to allow it to HEAL better!! April does an amazing job of being creative in working out whatever you have going on. I'm a Chiropractor, and I have to say, I really appreciate when someone who does body work actually digs around to find your problem, not just rub the general area and move on. I've had about 30 massages in my lifetime, but I have to say that April gave me one of the very best. She is so very strong, and gives a super firm massage (if that's your preference). I went to April when I was in desperate need of a good massage for my sore neck- found her through a Groupon Now deal and was lucky enough to get in the same day. The massage was amazing- one of the best I've ever had, and I have high standards. She is incredible at identifying sore spots and working out knots. She is also easy to talk to and open to feedback, which I appreciate. Located in a fun neighborhood (super cute farmers market on Weds night)- not the quietest/most private spot but didn't bother me.
