I debated taking it to Mercedes but the dealer is just going to milk your insurance and they do a terrible job as they don't care about you as a customer you are just another number. (I'm in the business and trust me no dealer has a good body shop, they rush and half ass many things all a numbers game for them). I used to work up the block from M-Dolla and would see many nice M and AMG cars being worked on so I figured I'd give him a try. Keep in mind my truck is a 100k+ truck with a special factory matte black finish. From start to finish it was a great process working with Marlon (the owner of M-Dolla). He is extremely kind, genuine and informative. He worked with me on many different issues and aspects of the car. While the front end was being fixed I decided to do the Brabus body kit and took some of Marlons suggestions as well. Marlon also worked with my insurance company directly and the adjustor. Due to covid delays and extreme rare availability of parts for my truck it took a long time for the process but Marlon kept me in the loop sending me pictures, videos and texts with updates. He was always available whenever I had a question or concern 24/7 and would always answer my nagging calls and texts. The end result was amazing. The paint matched perfectly and the truck looks great. There is a few other things I am going to have Marlon do as well and I know they will come out perfect. Trust me these guys did a better job than Mercedes themselves. The matte factory finish is extremely difficult for even the most skilled shops to match, Mercedes themselves have many issues with it but these guys nailed it. They performed collision repair work, front end aligment, full brake job. I drove the truck for a short period before one day we noticed a noise in the front driver's wheel. I turned around right away and was lucky to get truck home. I contacted them about the problem but the owner didn't contact me till the following week. My mechanic said the wheel was about to fall off. He said they should have not missed this, between doing the front-end damage work, alignment it was missed all three times. The owner Jose actually tried to blame me! LOL. They refused to pay anything so I will be filing court claim in Morristown soon. How hard is it to just own your mistakes? SAD!!!

I was never a fan of having a "guy"'as in a "suit guy" a "watch guy" a "wine/liquor" guy etc…read more Reason? Because I was always afraid that being a "one guy, guy" would limit me in terms of options etc...and I've always fancied myself as someone who likes knowing everything before choosing anything. The only exception to my self-imposed rule is when it comes to cars. Over the last 25+ years of family cars (as in leases, pre-owned purchases and bodywork/repairs) I thank the good lord for infesting my brain with enough common sense to admit we need a "car guy" and that no matter how we looked at it, we couldn't do better than Allstate. Why? Well for starters, they've talked me & the mrs OUT of cars when most would've gone for the easy close...especially when our other choices were less expensive and less profitable. The reason? Because they know their cars AND their customers and knew that on occasion, putting someone with our vehicular idiosyncrasies into the car of our choice would mean we'd spend the bulk of our lease looking to get out of it. Believe it or not, that's what you want from a car guy--the confidence that comes from knowing that it's ok to make your car related quests and questions "his problem" because you know that by doing so, it'll never actually turn INTO a problem. Remember they're in car leasing which means they're essentially offering the same deals as everyone else...what puts them miles ahead of everyone else is their integrity and the value-add of doing it all...which is my way of saying thank god for their collision shop Gratitude like that is almost inevitable when the DMV decides your 5 sons are roadworthy even tho they refuse to put away their laundry in baskets or remember to turn off the lights in rooms they're no longer inhabiting. Or to put it another way they've had their share of fender benders, T-bones, Deer-driven demolitions etc. As a parent my philosophy always was cars can be fixed way easier than kids, so as long as our boys emerged unscathed (probably because Allstate wouldn't allow me to get them anything close to the cool compacts/subcompacts their friends had)...I was ok making sure they knew to have AllState on their speed dial. In any case--and even when it meant covering part of the rental on their own as fixing it properly was talking longer than Geico allotted for...every car left their body shop looking and driving better than it did before the accident that got it there. Honest, ethical, flawless quality...these are just some of the reasons Allstate is my family's "car guy"...and you can't have him...
