UPDATE- The owner invited me back and gave me a gel manicure on the house. The gel stayed on for over two weeks and I was extremely satisfied!! It must have just been an off polish or something about my nails the day of my first manicure. I got a gel mani and their basic pedi. Two different women worked on me and they were both very very detailed and made sure the nails were perfect. I was there for two hours they had AC, nice massaging chairs, played good music, and they do a pari wax dip with manicures. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that my gel polish chipped within 24 hours :( :( Its been less than a week and four nails have chipped. So, I would highly recommend them for regular polish, but not gel. read more

Let me just start off this review by saying that this nail salon is an APPOINTMENT ONLY establishment. If you don't schedule an appointment via Facebook or phone call, there is no guarantee that they will be able to service you if you are a walk-in. Scheduled appointments do take priority (p.s. they can usually take appointments the same day!!). With regards to the review, let me tell you that this salon has the BEST technicians Columbus, GA has to offer. These technicians genuinely care about their customers, and they are some of the nicest people I have ever met. You will not leave here unsatisfied; the staff makes sure of it. My only suggestion: make an appointment. The staff here is absolutely wonderful! They most certainly want you to leave happily satisfied and will take extra time to ensure that happens. They have a lot of colors to choose from and offer all services (gel, SNS, acrylic, pedicures, manicures, wax). If you need some direction on what to do, they'll give you suggestions with explanations and in no way push you to do something more expensive. The first time I came here it was to have a previous set of acrylics fixed; he spend about 2 hours doing so and did a great job. This is my place now, and I recommend it. However, like I said earlier, make an appointment! Usually, the wait isn't terrible without one, but I still suggest doing so as there aren't that many techs. Especially since I've seen so many people walk in and leave because it's a 15-20 minute wait. Personally, I don't think that's fair to the business, but it's their loss. read more

Affordable, decent priced nail salon I went about two or three times. I don't go often but when I do I like to go to a place that's very clean and sanitary with their procedures. I've heard too many horror stories. The people here are friendly while you choose your colors (I take forever). I've had a pedicure both times I've gone and a gel mani once. Both times, my time as pleasant and the people will talk enough but not too much where you're tired and not relaxing. Cons: The person who cleaned up my nails made my cuticles bleed. They did apologize and give me a $5 discount (but you could offer me a free manicure and I still wouldn't take it if that meant my fingers were gonna bleed and hurt for days after). The gel only lasted a little over a week before it started peeling off. I'm not sure if it was applied too thick or what, but it wasn't worth the money for them to only last a week. I tried this salon for the first time today. I made an appointment and waited about 15 minutes for someone to get there to start on my nails. He drilled them down and sent me to another table to soak off my nails...while he completely did someone else's nails from start to finish. After my nails had completely soaked off I sat there for quite a while until the lady at the table on her phone next to me decided she was ready to do them. Now don't get me wrong, these people were very kind. But after these results (bleached, spotty color, leftover powder hardened ALL over my fingers, plus the 1.5 hours I was there) I will not be returning. I am very particular about my nails, and I desperately needed my nails done. I looked up salons in Columbus (since I live out of town) and found that Apsara had good reviews. I didn't make an appointment, but when I walked in, the entire staff worked hard to make sure they fit me in. Everyone is so friendly, so kind, and they ALL do great work. They know everyone by name and that just shows how dedicated their clients are. I got gel powder for the first time and was skeptical, but they all worked with me and were very patient and made sure I loved my nails. And I literally fell in love with the job they did. Apsara in Cambodian means beautiful woman, such a great name! I was in town for work and looked up nail salons in the area (desperately needing them done before a conference). Apsara fantastic reviews so I went in as a walk-in customer. Upon walking in the nail salon is very clean and it's fresh white so you can tell they take pride in keeping it clean. I was greeted as I walked in, luckily I went at an off-time so I was seated immediately. The owners are a nice couple that have been in the Columbus area for many years doing nails and their niece (who did my nails) that has been in Columbus and doing nails 4yrs. The vibe was relaxing, good music. The technicians were awesome! For the majority of the time I was there it was me, the woman owner (I feel terrible bc I did not get their names) and her niece. We were all cracking up the whole time, chatting about everything from their business to life in general. The owner's laugh and bubbly personality is infectious...if you were having a bad day and came in to have a service with these 2 they would cheer you right up! I had a gel polish soak off and gel mani. The products they use in the salon are great quality, they take sterilization and sanitation extremely seriously as well as client safety. I'm a cosmetologist...please listen that when you go to a nail salon they should NOT drill the top of your nail (shortening is one thing) but it's not good for your nails for numerous reasons! These guys soak off the polish the proper way and even made sure I understood why (which I knew but I appreciated them informing me as a client). My manicure was AWESOME! Literally the best manicure I've ever had....I wish I would of had time for a pedicure as well! She took her time, didn't rush at all and my nails are perfect!!! After she was done they gave me a paraffin treatment before the lotion massage (heaven!). My only complaint is that they don't live in my town so I can see them more often! Anytime I'm going to be in the Columbus, GA area I will wait to get my nails done so I can come back here. The prices are also great! They are a newer salon in town, just branching out on their own for the first time. Definitely swing by and support this awesome local business! I only came here because my regular manicurist was booked and I needed a manicure right away. A friend recommended them. Their Facebook page describes them as a "high end nail spa" with reasonable prices. The prices were reasonable, but nothing about them was high end. The decor is typical strip mall storefront, boring decor. No aromatherapy, no soothing spa music, dirt on the walls, etc. I walked in and was taken immediately as they weren't busy. I told the tech what I wanted and didn't want. I didn't want my cuticles butchered but I had to keep reminding her. I got a gel mani and the light box kept going off and she kept pounding on it like a broken microwave. At one point my fingertips were burning! My usual manicurist extends the polish over the edge of the nail to prevent chipping. This tech didn't know that trick. Now 7 days after,this is what my nails look like! She told me I could come back if they chipped, but that's the reason I got a 21 day gel manicure in the first place. I don't have time to come back! And I won't be back! read more

I was fortunate enough to stumble upon Apsara the first week we moved here. One visit and I knew I found "my" nail salon for our time here in Columbus. First, the salon is very clean. Nail salons are usually dusty and a little gross if you look too closely. It's understandable considering how much dust is created with each customer. However, Apsara sets a new standard. Exceptionally clean, surfaces are dust free, tools are sterilized, pumice stones and files are new and thrown away after each customer. They have a wide selection of gel polish colors. An extra special touch is that they have the exact same colors in standard nail polish, so you can perfectly match your fingers and toes if you so choose. The staff is incredible. Each person I encountered was friendly and professional. They are also meticulous with their work and take pride in customer service. Between customers, you will see the employees cleaning and cleaning some more. Prices are standard. No surprises there. They do accept walk-ins, however, I would recommend giving them a quick phone call before driving out to make sure you can be seen right away. That's just a good idea for any nail salon. read more

5 stars plus consistency! So I have been coming here when I am in town for about a year or more now. The space is Clean, nice music vibe, and consistent professional friendly service from everyone. There has been no staff turn over and everyone seems happy. I prefer gel on my fingernails and it is always an amazing result.
