Apsara will always be my go-to spot for authentic Cambodian food. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting from out of town. The food is consistently on point, and they offer a great selection of lunch and dinner specials at a reasonable price. The staff are always patient and friendly, which makes the experience even better. From the outside to the inside, the restaurant beautifully represents Cambodian culture with its paintings and statues , it truly feels like you've stepped into Southeast Asia. It's also BYOB, so you can bring your own drinks to enjoy with your meal. Overall, this small, family owned gem in Providence is definitely worth a visit.

Stopped in the other night. It was a Saturday and O was surprised we didn't have a wait. It was busy but they had a table for two. The first thing I noticed was the menu - so many choices! I started with the spicy wings Thai style. Very good! A bit of heat but the chunks of pineapple were a pleasant surprise. I then had the Chicken curry soup. It was very good with plenty of chicken and veggies. I really liked that it had green beans in it. Very hearty! The other thing I noticed was everything was reasonable priced. My friend and I had an app and entree each, with soft drinks and it was only $50. The service was good and we did not wait long for the food to arrive. The atmosphere was welcoming. It was a nice experience.

Apsara has long been one of my favorite Asian restaurants, and the fact that they open daily at 10AM makes it a great place to order take out lunch from on days when my lunch block at work falls early. We placed a large order from work this week and Apsara got everything right. Our order was also ready at the specified pick up time, which was awesome as well, given our tight lunch schedule. Some members of our group ordered lunch specials, which are priced around $10, give or take, and Apsara's servings fill the container. The fried rice was literally mounded in the take out container - it was a bigger quantity than I've seen in any other place. My colleague and I split the Pad THai with chicken, the Pineapple Fried Rice, and the Vegetable Nime Chow and it was all perfect. We ordered everything spicy, and Apsara is able to do a great job of keeping their food mild, but also flavorful. Love, love, love the Nime Chow - It's the best!!! We did take out, but the dining room at Apsara is very pleasant with a good number of seats, and every staff member I've encountered there has been pleasant and helpful. There is street parking easily available. Definitely check out this Providence gem!

I was pleasantly surprised by my visit to Apsara! First off, parking is easy--there's a small lot behind the restaurant, and plenty of nearby street parking too. The decor is beautiful, detailed yet homey, and walking in, you immediately get the sense that you're in for authentic, home-cooked food. The menu is huge--it took us a while to go through it, but the servers were super helpful with recommendations. We ended up trying the crispy Thai garlic wings, Singaporean noodles, beef loc lac, and garlic string beans. The wings had great flavor (though I wish they were a bit crispier), and the Singaporean noodles were delicious with that nice curry flavor. My girlfriend loved the beef loc lac--the sauce and gravy were rich and flavorful. The garlic string beans threw me off at first since the sauce was more sweet than garlicky, but they were still tasty. Overall, I really enjoyed everything we had and would definitely come back. The menu is so extensive that you could eat here many times and still keep discovering new dishes. On top of that, the pricing is amazing--the value you get here is hard to beat. I'm already planning to come back often for casual meals when I'm craving authentic, home-style Asian food that's both delicious and affordable.

Absolutely loved this place. Great, massive menu with plenty of options, nice atmosphere and stellar staff, very attentive, friendly and speedy... The food was excellent. Started with a hit and sour soup. Super taste and plenty of substance. Then the Singapore noodles, plentiful and super tasty. Couldn't finish it all, how plentiful it was. Definitely not my last time there!!

Literally, my favorite Cambodian restaurant. Their lunch specials are so good. You literally can't beat it. The portion is literally like two meals and it's 10 bucks literally cheaper than eating at home.

Soup were fresh and shrimp rolls were good! Having the taste buds of a cambodian, taste authentic for sure! Parking can be challenging but will definitely be back if were close.

Came here with a group of 10 on a Thursday. Made reservations in advance and seated promptly. The biggest party they will do is 10 people. Important to know beforehand that this place is BYOB! The restaurant was super busy and service was definitely on the slower side. Thankfully we ordered things all at once and the food came out together and pretty quickly. It was hard to get glassware for our BYOB so we drank wine from the tea cups given to us. This is probably the best Asian food I've had in this area!! Everything we ordered was a 10/10 from the whole group. My dad loves pad Thai and he said this is probably the best one he has had in the state of Rhode Island! Will definitely get takeout or come with a small group to get this food again.

Apsara has been around a long time for a reason. Local gem .. and classic Cambodian and other southeast Asian dishes. Not gonna be disappointed.. they have a large menu to choose from .. as well

    Christian R.

Not all Asian food is created equal, and this spot stands out with its Cambodian-influenced flavors. The dishes aren't overly spicy unless you want them to be, which makes it great for all palates. The takeout staff is sweet and attentive. The lo mein, made with crispy egg noodles, is a standout. The crab rangoons are delicious--crispy and full of flavor. Honestly, I'd feel confident trying anything on the menu. Parking is available in the rear lot or on the street. For your first visit, it's best to dine in and enjoy the food fresh--it really makes a difference.

Looking for Khmer food in Rhode Island? Ambiance is only missing Khmer music. This is a highly recommended place, great food with service speaking our native language. Looking for an amazing place for authentic khmer food; family style or friends? Welcome to Apsara, where ambiance makes you feel closer to home and service makes you feel welcome.

The portions here are huge. We've done both take out and dine in, and the portions are generous either way. We ordered the pad Thai, steamed dumplings, bbq ribs, and some soup. We had a ton of leftovers. All of it was delicious, but I will say that the ribs were a little overdone (tough to chew, but still tasty). This place is a great choice whether you want something to go or food to dine in. It's our first choice for pad Thai. It's also BYOB, so take advantage!

They do have a menu - takeout or dine in (few tables but the space is small) and they also have cafeteria style prepared foods that you can peruse. Located on Reservoir near the Cranston line, there is a small parking lot next to the storefront and some street parking as well. I called in an order for Chicken Mee Ka Tang (Cantonese Noodles), Beef Pho, Cold Cut banh mi, Lort (Cambodian eggrolls) and a Vietnamese coffee for the mister. When we got there I was enticed by the offerings and got a small container of the braised pork and eggs and stuffed bitter melon (don't knock it people, it is an acquired taste, lol). We really enjoyed everything we had but our faves were the banh mi (great flavor and didn't skimp on the meats at all!) and the Mee Ka Tang - it did have a bit more gravy than I'm used to but really great flavors - add a little bit of chili oil or sriracha and chefs kiss! The pork and eggs were a tad bit too sweet and pork was tougher than I'd like other than that, everything was delicious. Service was super quick and food was ready as promised. We didn't have to wait for it at all which I can appreciate! Looking forward to returning to this mom and pop shop!! Can't wait to come back!

I had done some research and knew it was a small space so I was praying there would be enough open tables. When we talked in, there were about 3 tables open. It took a bit to get seated since the host/ server was busy getting together online orders and bringing out food to other customers. But after a couple minutes, we were allowed to pick our own table. They have 3 two person tables to the left, on an elevated platform. To the far front of the space, there were two booths which could easily fit 4 people each. To the right there were 3 tables for 4-5 people each. We went with the bigger table, but moved after a couple minutes to another table for a more private setting. For an appetizer, we put in an order of crab rangoons. As my entrée, I ordered the Khao Soi with seafood and my friend ordered the beef salad which comes with sticky rice. The crab rangoons came out after about 10 minutes. They looked crispy, and were wrapped in a cute, round way. The filling wasn't as creamy as I wish it would be, but it did taste a bit healthier than regular Chinese take out. The entress came out after about another 10 minutes. My Khao Soi came out with a big bowl, with some lime and peanuts on the side. I asked for more lime and cilantro on the side. The broth was a very vibrant color, creamy, sweet, a little tangy from the lime, and because of the cilantro had a fresh and clean flavor. I loved the combination of all the flavors, and it reminded me of a curry. The noodles were soft, but not falling apart and there was a good amount of it. There was plenty of seafood including calamari, shrimp, and mussels. The calamari was a little tough but the other items were good. I loved the crispy shallots on top as they provided an additional sweet but savory element. I finished the entire thing. My friend's salad was good. It was simple in that it was salads and herbs with minced meat but it tasted good. The sticky rice came in a ball wrapped in aluminum foil, and then put into their authentic little basket so it was full to pull apart. They do have a dessert menu and we were offered some, but I had no space. It seemed like the server was handling a lot at once so kudos to him and the small but mighty team in the back cooking everything up. I would be interested in trying other items on their menu.

They also forgot to include a fortune cookie! I get multiple meals out of a lunch combo and saved the soup for dinner. The price for the combo and wonton soup came out to $13.00 cash- there is an extra 3% charge when using a card or tap. The staff were friendly both on the phone while ordering and picking up the order in person. The dining area looked clean. Today was a miss.

It was a Sunday evening. We had just gotten back from Boston on the train and were hungry. I went…read morethrough my bookmarked places on Yelp and decided on Haus. It was a first for my friend and I; we were in the mood for something yummy, but that wouldn't feel too heavy. It was very close to us, so in minutes, we were in their parking lot. We walked in and noticed its a big space. They have a lot of tables, a bar area, but also booths along the wall. Since there wasn't anyone else there, we look a big booth. One downside is that they don't have physical menus for the food, it's a QR code. To me, it can be overwhelming to scroll through so many options and remember them along the way. We finally settled on shrimp nime chow, pork belly drunken noodles, and Thai style chicken wings. Our waitress was very helpful in giving us suggestions and explaining some of the foods. I am very glad the food came out little by little as it allowed us to eat everything while it was fresh and hot. The wings came out first and they looked magnificent. They were glowing, crispy, and topped with goodness (crispy garlic, sautéed jalapeño peppers and onions). The jalapeño did not make the wings spicy. They did have a tiny hint of spice, but the sweet and savory flavors definitely overshadowed it. I drizzled some of the oil on the plate of the wings back onto the wings, but also on some of the other food we ordered since it was that good. The order came with about 4 whole wings, and 4 drum stick parts of the wing which definitely justified the price. We ate about half of them and took the rest with us. Next, was the nime chow. I noticed they these were made with a little less love since the ingredients inside were not equally dispersed. However, the flavor was good. I wish it had more Thai basil. Lastly, the drunken noodles came out. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, and it came with a good amount of fried pork belly. It was my first time have pork belly as a protein for drunken noodles but it worked really well. The dish was very flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly and well coated with flavor. Since we were the only customers there, we received all the attention. We also noticed they had a pretty good playlist going. For everything we ordered, it came out to about $50 which wasn't bad. I will definitely be coming back to try other menu items.

Their crab rangoons are some of the best- do not pass them up!! On this most recent visit I got the pineapple fried rice, and this is probably the second time I've had it. I got shrimp in it, and while there were only a few shrimps in it- it was still very tasty! The pineapple and carrots are perfectly cooked- not too hard- and the cashews add a nice crunch. And everything is very flavorful! Dining in? It's a small place and I've seen it get busy, so plan accordingly! There's a lot of windows, it's dim, good for a night out with a friend or with a group. It's on the corner of Ives street so it's street parking, but I'm usually able to find a spot on the side street!
