We ordered the pad Thai, yellow chicken curry, and papaya salad. The pad Thai was a little sweeter than my personal preference, but it was still very good. The portion was generous, so we had some leftovers that we're saving for dinner later. The yellow chicken curry was the star of the meal. We've tried many yellow curries before, and this one really stood out--my husband kept saying how so, so good it was and even joked that he wants to learn how to make it himself. I went to Jarit for dinner last night. The food was delicious and the decor is beautiful. It wasn't busy inside so I hope they are doing okay! I had the vegan red curry which I love. I almost didn't get a photo of the dish because I dived right in to eat it! The service was really bad though. A hidden gem for thai food in Providence The interior is very cool. They took time to decorate the place and make it feel like Thailand. Every detail, including the tiny models and street signs in Thai make you feel like you're not in Rhode Island. Staff is awesome. No doubt about that. Everyone is so nice. The food was spectacular. Crying tiger beef was tasted charcoaled and well seasoned. Definitely a highlight. The Thai beef noodle soup was amazing. It was one of the richest broths I've had in the region. The beef was so tender too. Papaya Salad was delicious and we had it come extra spicy. Certainly was able to breathe better after it. Lol. Thai tea is delicious and I highly recommend it. I came back to Jarit Thai with two of my friends. We were seated right away and the service was very hospitable. The server constantly poured water into our cups when he saw it was low. He checked in during our meal and also made conversation with us. I ordered the Lychee Martini and Pad Thai with shrimp. The Lychee Martini was very good. The rice noodle, egg, scallion, turnip, bean sprout and minced peanut was delicious and the flavors were spot on. My friends ordered the Lilet Spritz, Aperol Spritz, Pad Kee Mow with shrimp, and Pad Thai with chicken. We all enjoyed our meal very much and the ambiance. I was so excited to see this spot open near my place of work. I love Thai food and having another lunch option nearby was very exciting. I was very impressed and surprised by the some of the restaurant. Looks are deceiving and it's quite big inside. The decor is fantastic. It really gives off Thai street food vibes and I love the green color tied into everything from the painted shutters to the chairs to the bowls. Service was friendly and quick. I tried the tom yum soup (less spicy than I usually like but good) and the chicken pad Thai. It was delicious, a bit sweeter than I'm used to but still good. I was surprised to see that lunch comes on a tray with spring rolls and salad. It was a good surprise! I enjoyed having some addition bites to try. I'm not sure if they do this at dinner too or if it's just lunchtime. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. Came in for a girls dinner with two girlfriends. We made a reservation just cause we weren't sure how busy they would be. When we got there at 630 it was a little empty but it filled up quickly! I got shrimp dumpling appetizer and it was very different looking from anyone I've ever got anywhere else but it was tasty! I also got the crab fried rice and it was AMAZING! As soon as they hit my FYP, I had to add Jarit Thai Thai to my must-try list. My first visit did not disappoint, and my tastebuds were very satisfied. As a Lao foodie, I've been exposed to various Southeast Asian dishes and flavors, so my critiques tend to be more discerning, and I have a keen palette for authentic dishes versus fusion ones. I was left in absolute awe stepping foot into the dining area. Every nook and cranny of the restaurant felt intentionally designed, with fun decorations symbolic of Thailand and familiar to me. Jarit is a strong example of an establishment that brings you back in time, with every corner thoughtfully planned. We had pumpkin curry, pad kee mao and two cocktails: the Sodd Sai and Zabb Zaa. TLDR, everything was six stars if I could give them that high of a rating out of five. The curry was new to me but had such a creamy, slightly mild and earthy flavor that paired beautifully with jasmine rice. I can definitely see myself ordering this in the fall or whenever it starts to get cool. The pad kee mao had the right amount of kick, and the beef was oh-so tender. I love when wide noodles are chewy but not soggy - the texture was spot on and had enough spice to make me sniffle. The cocktails were phenomenal, from presentation to first sip. I had the Zabb Zaa, which reminded me a lot of a spicy margarita with the spiced rim. Made with tequila, lime, cointreau and mango juice, it was exactly what I needed to pair with the pad kee mao. Surprisingly, it wasn't spicy and was more fruity and refreshing. My partner had the Sodd Sai, and the Melon Calpico in that cocktail was very lovely. The service was phenomenal, and we were instantly greeted with such kindness and wonderful hospitality. I'm so excited for Heng Thai's sister restaurant to open up and make their mark in the Providence food scene. Everything about Jarit is cozy and reminds me of home. Heard there was a new Thai spot in Providence and Instagram kept whispering in my ear to go so I had to oblige! We came for Sat lunch and was able to park in the adjacent lot so always adds brownie points when you don't have to play the parking wars game. This is where JR's used to be but you wouldn't be able to tell! The interior is bright and the walls are adorned with vintage movie/concert posters featuring aspects of the motherland along with numerous knick knacks of cutesy articles that gives off street market vibes. Sister restaurant to Heng so the food and vibes made sense. We ordered the wings, papaya salad, larb hed for apps (with a side of sticky rice) and for entrees we ordered the Pad C-U and Pad Kee Mow, both with chicken. Our drinks (Thai iced tea and virgin passion fruit mojito) were refreshing for this hot summer day. We really enjoyed all of our options and found a new interesting thing to try - we've never had a vegetarian larb before and we both thought it was different and good but I still do prefer a larb (laap for us Southeast Asians) with protein. There was a pretty big and interesting drink menu but we opted to go non alcoholic for lunch today but tomorrow is another day! This is def a new Thai spot that we will return to and I have to comment on how amazing the service was! Super friendly with welcoming smiles and the food came out fast and piping hot for hot dishes! My wife and I tried Jarit recently and it was very good. We ordered the shrimp special appetizer, which was like a fried croquette stuffed with minced shrimp and served with a tasty sweet sauce. The drinks were pricey ($14 for about 3 oz), but I guess drinks are ridiculously priced everywhere these days. It's funny that the price of alcohol in liquor stores hasn't gone up nearly as much as the price of drinks in restaurants. We bought three drinks, which were very good, but for the same amount of money I could've bought full bottles to make 30 of the same drinks at home. The service was fantastic and the decor was pleasant. I got the crispy pork belly entrée, which was very tasty. My wife got a rice dish with the crispy pork. Her pork wasn't as flavorful as the pork belly, but I guess few things are as tasty as pork belly. read more

Always a fan of trying new places, this one was on the list so we checked it out. The decor makes you feel like you're at a roadside eatery in Thailand. The service was good with the food coming at a good pace and they check on you enough to make sure you're taken care of but not to where you feel intruded. The food was really good. The Pad Kee Mow was good, I'd order it spicier next time. The larb was mushroom based. Typically it's a protein and organ meat, but this one sounded interesting and didn't disappoint. It was light and refreshing. Never had it like that but would order again. My pleasant surprise was the papaya salad. It was the best I've ever had in a restaurant. Very flavorful and all the flavors balanced very well. The presentation on the chicken wings was nice, but they were what you'd expect. Crispy and well cooked but nothing special. When you walk in, you feel like you've teleported to a cute outdoor market. They really took their time with the interior designing and I love it - no inch went to waste. We were immediately welcomed in and seated. Their menu is the perfect size, with about 5 dishes per section. I was craving something with vegetables and complex flavor so I went with the green curry. My friend ordered the beef stew noodle. In about 15 minutes our food came out and it was still hot and looked very delicious. The menu said the green curry would be really spicy so I was nervous (even though I am good at tolerating heat) but it wasn't too bad. This dish had so many flavors going on. It started off creamy, then transitioned to being sweet, and ending with spicy. I loved the vegetables in the curry, especially the sliced ginger. I was unfamiliar with on vegetable but I still liked it. I ordered crisy pork as my protein but it was slightly cold so the fatty parts were inedible--I  should've gone with crispy chicken or vegetables. I have heard so many great things about their papaya salad and mango rice but unfortunately we did not have the space for it. Next time! They don't have a personal parking lot but there is a parking lot next door that I sometimes park in with caution if I cannot find street parking. This place is near the Providence Pedestrian bridge so it makes for a nice time out in the city. read more

Inside was quite busy but had good amount of seatings so we were able to be sat down right away. Looks like the place was understaffed so the waiters were running around everywhere. We looked through the menu and ordered right away. We got Thai iced teas, pad thai with crispy chicken, crab fried rice and shrimp donut. Turns out the crab fried rice was out of order so I ended up changing it to basil fried rice with crispy chicken. Thai iced teas came in bottles with ice and glasses with curly straw. The Thai iced teas was sweet, milky and smooth. The curly straw threw me off a bit and almost choked. It's nice for esthetic but had to straighten it so that I can drink it easier. The shrimp donut was a ground up shrimp meat ball fried up. It was good as I expected and paired well with the sweet and sour sauce. My hot basil fried rice with crispy chicken was pretty good. Great savory flavor with hint of spice and basil. It definitely had some heat so be aware if you are not a fan of spicy food. Crispy chicken was nice and crispy. My partner had Pad Thai and enjoyed her dish. My only gripe with the basil fried rice is that the rice was a bit overcooked and chewy. I usually prefer my fried rice to be more firm and crumbly. The service was good but wait was a bit long since they were understaffed. Overall the place was good and I would come back to try crab fries rice i couldn't try. Food is good and service is ok. New little hidden gem (on a street full of great places to eat). Once you walk inside you're instantly transported into what looks like an outdoor street market in Thailand. Music is playing and the staff welcomes you with big smiles. There were so many cool things on the menu we didn't know where to start. We just knew we wanted something we hadn't had at every other Thai place. Our waitress was incredibly helpful and we ended up going with 3 of her suggestions. First up, the shrimp donuts - lightly fried rounds of a bouncy shrimp mixture with a tangy sweet sauce. Next we had the Crying Tiger which was thin strips of a brisket meat cooked to perfection and served with an amazing tamarind salsa (that I would buy by the jar if they sold it!!). We finished up sharing an incredibly delicious creamy curry dish with soft egg noodles, a chicken leg, a nest of crunchy noodles, red onions and other aromatics. I honestly don't think we left anything in the bowl. They of course have some of the usual more known Thai dishes and they did look amazing but i can't wait to come back to try more of the unique dishes. read more

They were Shrimp clumps together into a donut shape and light batter and deep fried. The plate came with four small donuts and a sweet sauce that really tied the savory shrimp together. I enjoyed them and could've had way more and enjoyed it. Very simple but delicious appetizers The Thai tea comes from a bottle and served in a glass with ice. Typical and delicious drink. I had the pad Thai with crispy chicken. I don't know what I was expecting but the chicken was crispy because it was deep fried~ it comes on the side. The noodles were delicious! My partner has the basil fried rice and it was on the spicy but flavorful side. Maybe a tad too spicy if you finish the dish. Food was delicious! Restaurant was beautiful and was true to its theme. It's our first time trying this place and we did takeout. We got the Had Yai wings and I was shocked that for $13.95 I literally got 2 whole wings and it was super bland not marinated properly. The taro crispy rolls were good but the sauce it came with was super sweet didn't go with the flavoring of the rolls and they were underfried so still a little soggy. Oh my gosh... this place is absolutely fantastic. They just opened on June 10th. The Khao Soi Gai is so incredibly flavorful I almost couldn't believe it. My family of four and I stumbled across this new restraunt after an abominable experience at another establishment ( will not name to preserve their business). While upon glance this restraunt is nothing exciting on the outside the inside is a whole different story. Beautiful amiable with a homey but modern vibe, i felt right at home. Not only that but we were seated and waited on immediately. Our waiter was kind and friendly, being especially helpful and attentive. Now onto the food and drink - their original thai iced tea is delicious and their appetizers were like a party in my mouth; especially the rolls. Saw this on uber eats and decided to try even though I am creature of habit when it comes to my Thai food. But this place did not disappoint. Had the drunken noodle (pad kee mao) and it was delicious. Tried the fried wings. Wasn't a huge fan but only because they were either fried in oil after fish or had fish oil on them and not a fan of that flavor but they were super crispy and the sauce was great.
