The portions were huge, especially the turkey club. All the food was above average. The service was lovely and the decor is quaint.

Walked into this Mediterranean restaurant and immediately thought, "Ah yes... the Mediterranean…read moreSea... also known as Italy." The menu was giving pasta, parmesan, and maybe a distant cousin of the actual Mediterranean. First things first: the bread. Soft. Warm. Fluffy. Honestly the kind of bread that makes you consider abandoning your life responsibilities and just living in a basket. And the butter? Elite. I was two bites away from writing it a love letter. The real MVP? Penne vodka. Get it. Trust me. It's the Beyoncé of the menu. Now, the truffle beef chops... listen. If the truffle was there, it was hiding, wearing camouflage, whispering from another room. Didn't taste it at all. The chicken parm was fine--like the guy in the friend group who's not the funniest or cutest but he's always there and you appreciate him. The place itself? Adorable. Cute colors, great vibes, and lighting that makes you feel like your selfies will come out 20% hotter. I didn't get dessert because I was one forkful away from imploding, but I fully believe it would've been good. The vibes said "trust us." Overall: not the Mediterranean getaway I expected, but still a delicious little identity crisis. And honestly, I'd return just for the bread

Steve came out from the kitchen to say hello to a lot of the customers and his wife was one of the most pleasant people we've met in the restaurant business. Dinner started with complimentary garlic bread and gravy. Our apps were amazing. The honey ricotta was so delicious and the bruschetta was very fresh. All of our entrees were fantastic. I had the crab with red gravy and it was the perfect portion and taste. My wife tried a new entree which I believe was called Seafood Frederick and she said it was delicious. The chicken parmigiana dish was huge and my daughter really enjoyed it. The decor is so cool with throwback pictures of old time Wildwood. Keep up the great work. Definitely will be back and we absolutely recommend it for a wonderful and affordable dinner.

We came here for the Restaurant Week prix fixe meal. It was an amazing meal. We ordered: the…read moresausage polenta, crab and corn chowder, rigatoni bolognese, linguini carbonara, veal cutlet, filet mignon with risotto, ice box parfait, and limoncello cake. The chowder was a nice thick hearty soup. The polenta was delightful- with a light and creamy corn flavor. The linguini was a very light and airy pasta. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium and was so tender. The risotto and spinach went really well with the steak too. The veal was lightly breaded and melted right in my mouth. The limoncello tasted lemony and sweet, smooth and refreshing with a prominent aroma of lemon. The yellow dessert looked and tasted like a ray of sunshine. The ice box parfait was a refreshing end to my meal. As you can probably tell, we thoroughly enjoyed the entire dinner. The place was packed when we visited. Service was a tad slow but our server Faith did great. The meal more than made up for the slightly slow service. The portion sizes were generous too, we had to box one of the entrees to go. This definitely one of the better restaurant week deals, I would definitely recommend it and this place in general.

Tasty pizza and an awesome salad make for an early bird special that is affordable and palatable…read more Nice vibe and decor inside and seating available outside. Wood fire oven for the pizza made for a great thin crust. Pizza toppings were plentiful and fresh. Our server was attentive and pleasant. I came here with my husband today after a day at the boardwalk. I believe we came at about 5pm and…read moreit was empty. We did sit inside because we were very hot from the boardwalk. However, it was not much better inside. It was quite warm. They started us with some bread and garlic infused oil. The bread was soft and the oil was very good and flavorful. We ordered the 'Bruschetta' which was VERY definitely my highlight. I wish it had more cheese on it, but the tomatoes were super fresh and the balsamic was delicious. For our entrees, my husband got the 'Diavolo' pizza which was homemade tomato sauce, hot soppressata, homemade mozzarella, chopped garlic, oregano & parmesan cheese. He loved it. He said the bread was soft and it was super cheesy. I did not try it, nor did I order pizza because I just had some a few days ago. I ordered the 'Three Mushroom Pasta' which was shiitaki, cremini & portobello mushrooms sautéed with garlic butter & marsala wine sauce topped with parmesan cheese served over pappardelle pasta. The mushrooms were delicious. However, the pasta itself was rather bland. I will say the portion was BIG and I definitely had left overs. The staff was quick and friendly. I probably would not come back again but it was nice to try, and I'm sure the pizza was better than boardwalk pizza. I would give this a 3.5, but since I can't do halfs.. 3 it is.

There are several rooms to this restaurant, and it is actually located underneath a bowling alley. Talk about a hidden gem, literally! We enjoyed the live entertainment. The performer was fantastic! There was a small dance floor in front of him, and rumor has it the patrons often jump up and cut the rug. I even got a birthday serenade, table-side. So cool! If a menu offers Pasta and Crab, then you can bet your hiney I am ordering it. This place DID IT UP. Huge chunks of real crab. More crab than any other restaurant in South Jersey (really, more than any other restaurant in the entire state of New Jersey...I order this dish everywhere). The red gravy was balanced (more tart than sweet, which is what I prefer). The house salad that arrived ahead of the entrees was delicious. Creamy yet light dressing, if that even makes sense. Our party of 7 raved about everything we ordered. The garlic bread was even insanely delicious. There are so many restaurants in the area, but THIS is one we will return to time and time again. We were in the area one week later and ordered some pasta and crab to-go. It traveled back to Voorhees beautifully. Thanks for making my celebration so special, Alfe's!
