Was able to get a seating for five and we are lucky we did. The owners (Kelly and Steve??) are terrific. Steve came out from the kitchen to say hello to a lot of the customers and his wife was one of the most pleasant people we've met in the restaurant business. Dinner started with complimentary garlic bread and gravy. Our apps were amazing. The honey ricotta was so delicious and the bruschetta was very fresh. All of our entrees were fantastic. I had the crab with red gravy and it was the perfect portion and taste. My wife tried a new entree which I believe was called Seafood Frederick and she said it was delicious. The chicken parmigiana dish was huge and my daughter really enjoyed it. The decor is so cool with throwback pictures of old time Wildwood. Keep up the great work. We came here for the Restaurant Week prix fixe meal. It was an amazing meal. We ordered: the sausage polenta, crab and corn chowder, rigatoni bolognese, linguini carbonara, veal cutlet, filet mignon with risotto, ice box parfait, and limoncello cake. The chowder was a nice thick hearty soup. The polenta was delightful- with a light and creamy corn flavor. The linguini was a very light and airy pasta. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium and was so tender. The risotto and spinach went really well with the steak too. The veal was lightly breaded and melted right in my mouth. The limoncello tasted lemony and sweet, smooth and refreshing with a prominent aroma of lemon. The yellow dessert looked and tasted like a ray of sunshine. The ice box parfait was a refreshing end to my meal. As you can probably tell, we thoroughly enjoyed the entire dinner. The place was packed when we visited. Service was a tad slow but our server Faith did great. The meal more than made up for the slightly slow service. The portion sizes were generous too, we had to box one of the entrees to go. This definitely one of the better restaurant week deals, I would definitely recommend it and this place in general. read more

Stephen's turned out to be a hidden gem. I was a bit concerned when I noticed that the restaurant was so close to the boardwalk, as I thought it might mean that we would be paying a premium just for the location and that the food might be mediocre at best. We were very pleasantly surprised. The gnocchi was so wonderful that it made me wonder what I had eaten all my life that had been called "gnocchi." This was light and delicious. The agnolotti scarlatta was also to die for. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable and made some excellent recommendations. The desserts were also out of this world. And it's the rare restaurant down the shore that provides delicious food at a reasonable price. Not only will we be returning, we'll be finding it difficult to go anywhere else. read more

Checked out Stephen's for the first time last night! It's a cute little spot right off the boardwalk. First, you get garlic bread and a marinara dipping sauce on the table which I couldn't stop eating. Appetizer- crab stuffed long hots wrapped in prosciutto. I loved them and they were spicy. Caesar salad- very tasty! I will just ask for less dressing next time. Dinner- Seafood medley in a white- delicious and the seafood was cooked perfectly and pasta was al dente Chicken parm- so good and the marinara sauce is to die for. Our server, Morgan, was great. From the food to the service to the inviting atmosphere, this is a must when you visit Wildwood. The owners are incredible and accommodating. The crab and corn chowder could not be any better, ribeyes were cooked to perfection. Pasta has such great flavor. Do not get too full though the Chocolate mousse pie is divine and a must. We ate here last night and everything was delicious. Let me start by saying our waitress, Tara was amazing, and helped us with all of our modifications. My son wanted chicken parm minus the sauce no problem, my mother in law wanted sweet peppers in her chicken not hot peppers, no issue. The food was amazing!! The service amazing! The inside has a comforting feel and makes your stay enjoyable. Would definitely recommend. Service was good. Food was decently priced for being down the shore in the Wildwood area. However, the Caesar salad and bread served is the only thing this place has going for it. I went with a rather large dining party with multiple orders and overall we all agreed it was a waste of a dinner that could've been spent elsewhere. Chicken picante was a disappointment to both the eyes and tastebuds. It looked poor and the flavor match its appearance. The salmon was extremely fishy and missing flavor. If you were to come here I would recommend getting a water with lemon, bread, and then the check. read more

We had large party and Stephen's was gracious enough to take a reservation for us. The entire from our server Brianna to hostess Julia and everyone including Stephen were extremely hospitable and dealt with our situation with utmost grace and respect. I unfortunately didn't get to take many pics of the food. I will say the Mediterranean salad w seafood was enjoyable and tasty and in my opinion a must order is the honey "ragut" app (spreadable ricotta w honey.) my wife had the shrimp fra diablo and I had the Agnolotti Gamberetto (Mushroom filled half moon pasta with shrimp, sundried tomatoes and shitake mushrooms. cream sauce). I did really enjoy the banana french toast and crispy potatos. lunch menu looks good. service was ok (eg, they came by to see if we needed a coffee refill a few times) but a little slow and could have been more efficient, eg, sat there without any drinks at all for at least 10 mins and waited for food for at least another 10 mins. The restaurant was busy but there seemed to be enough waitresses for quicker service and some of the wait staff seemed a little disinterested at times. service was also a little slow at another local restaurant the night before so maybe this is a local thing. brunch is overall good and we left happy. read more

I wish I could have eaten them all. I had longhots with crabmeat and sausage and peppers as the appetizer which was great. The entree homemade Gnocchi with crabmeat/blush sauce. Absolutely amazing! We tried this restaurant out as we were looking for a place to grab dinner. We were seated after a wait of about 25 minutes. Our waitress came over (Morgan) and took our drink order she asked if we needed another minute, and we said okay. After waiting about 15 minutes with no sight of her we asked a person preparing tables to please find our waitress for us. She finally came and apologized for the wait, saying there was an issue in the kitchen. So.......we are left to just sit there and wait looking around, thinking we were forgotten? We put our order in, the shareable antipasto salad and the long hots. I asked for the salad with the tuna on the SIDE as my husband does NOT like tuna and nobody, but one of the 3 of us would want it in the salad. She said sure that was something they could do. We also put in our entree order. We ordered the chicken marsala, the broiled seafood, the veal Parmigiano and the fisherman's feast with a red sauce. Now for the broiled seafood I specified I didn't like flounder, so could they please add more of the other things in the dish to make up for it, she said sure. The appetizers come out and you could see that the salad had the tuna on it. They must have taken it off (maybe they forgot) maybe it's already on it? I have no idea, but pieces of tuna were throughout the entire salad. As we ate the apps, our drinks sat completely empty, waiting for a refill for about 10-15 minutes. Morgan came back and asked how it was. I advised her of the salad issue and that it would not have been good had somebody been allergic to tuna. Also that my husband would now not be eating it. Unfortunately we were so hungry before she came over my daughter and myself had already dug in so we kept that salad. She apologized now for a 2nd time. We are eating our long hots (2 for $12) people show pics with 3... Our entrees come out. I look and see a piece of some kind of fish... I'm like what is this? She says salmon, "I'm like I don't do fish just shellfish that's why I said no flounder and asked for you to just add more of what was already offered. She says I'm sorry. I'm like well what are we going to do. Next thing I know the chef is at the table. He says did I do something wrong. I explain. He says well we were out of the clams casino so I threw the Lobster tail ( he thought that was an upgrade for me not everyone likes Lobster ) and gave you salmon. I'm like I don't like salmon. I'm just like whatever at this point chef has left. ( I personally could go the rest of my life without lobster) why didn't they tell me they were out of some of my items and give me options? So I just keep my plate and go on about the meal. The plate came with NO drawn butter, cocktail sauce absolutely NOTHING to make this seafood taste like anything. It was like eating absolute air. My baked potato was hard as a rock. I was starved so I ate the shellfish by dipping it into the red sauce that came with my daughter's dish per her advice.. My husband liked his chicken marsala and my daughter liked the pasta, mussels and clams that came with her dish. She had 1 scallop a Dungeness crab which she states with no butter was flavorless, and was hard to eat as they don't give you a cracker. The veal Parmigiano was chewy and rubbery the baked potato was hard like mine was, the side esparagus was bitter and not good. The waitress stopped by and said they took some money off. I said okay thanks. She leaves we ate again we were starved it's about 9:20 pm at this point. She comes back asked if we would like dessert I said no she brings the check. They took the drinks off the bill and 10% I believe. I literally just wanted to get out of there. There is absolutely no reason for 3 apologies at what should be an hour to an hour and a half dinner experience. Unfortunately, I'd definitely not recommend. Giving 2 stars because 1 and 3 quarter people liked their food. Ps I was so aggravated I forgot to take pics of my food. YOU aren't missing anything. read more

Delicious dinner tonight at Stephen's. We started with mussels in white which was more a broth than I'm used to . With that said it was yummy! We devoured the fresh mussels and enjoyed the garlic bread with the broth. My chicken Marsala was so good, with perfect mushrooms and a terrific sauce over angel hair pasta. My husband wasn't as crazy about his veal Oscar. The pasta sauce was hollandaise-like and was just ok. We both agreed, I had the winner. Our friends had the salmon and stuffed flounder and said they were both delish. There wasn't a morsel left on plates despite the generous portion sizes. BYO and price is right. I've been here twice for dinner and once for breakfast. All three times were fantastic. The service is very friendly. The place looks great inside and is very clean. Their food presentation was great. Even for breakfast you could tell they took time with how the food comes out. As for the food, the gnocchi was our family favorite or any of the veal entrees. For breakfast they have great breakfast bowls or their lobster Benedict was extremely good. The chef came out to greet the tables all three times we were there. Was there over this past weekend and I have to say what HORRIBLE customer service. A person at my table ordered a ribeye steak, however when the plate was put in front of them the color of the "Ribeye" was pink. The person simply just asked are you sure this is a ribeye and not pork chop. The waitress came back with a strong attitude then saying it was correct and walked away. At this point 3 people (including myself) took a small bite of the ribeye to find out it was indeed a pork chop. After going back and fourth, the chef came out also with a very nasty attitude and then proceeded to BRING OUT RAW MEAT TO OUR TABLE to try and prove us wrong. I know I am clearly not a chef, however I think I do know how a ribeye and pork chop are supposed to taste. How can you fight with someone about what they physically tasted? They did NOTHING but argue with us. The manager never once came by our table to even offer an apology. The hostess did however see what happened and she apologized. The only thing they did was take "Ribeye" off of the bill. They never even asked if the person wanted something else to eat. ABSOLUTELY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER AND WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN. read more

Food and presentation is substandard. Food quality is cheap... steak and chicken. Food is served cold or lukewarm. Had to return meal twice to have heated up. Prices are ridiculous for the quality. Appears the owner is trying to establish a business but cutting corners everywhere. The ambiance is pleasant... previous owners did the renovation work. Service was okay. We ordered the meatball and ricotta cheese appetizer- it had a small salad on the side- the meatballs were not hot, had gristle in them. The ricotta cheese was two small dollops placed on the salad not w the meatballs. I had a pork chop which was very good along with sautéed spinach which was good. My husband had a seafood platter - the plate had pasta in the middle with scallops Dungeness crab and mussels around the plate. The spaghetti was dried out, the crab and scallops dried out and the mussels were terribly shriveled and dried out. It looked like the plate sat uNader the heat lamps for awhile! The chef/owner asked how everything was and got indignant when we gave our constructive criticism- don't ask if you can't handle it. We were not looking for anything just thought we should be honest- the waitress Nicole was wonderful until we talked about the meal- we told her she was great but she took it personally- we tipped her Very well but was also not nice after the criticism. The wife of the owner made a comment of the fact that they had served 260 meals already and made it seem like how could we complain knowing how busy it was. Not a great way to be when you want repeat customers. We won't be going back. We loved the ambiance- we sat in a booth- high backs - felt like a private room kinda-it was loud in a good way- sounded like people having a fun night out. read more
