I've been to a lot of nail salons with all kinds of perks -- back rubs, free drinks, and the like -- but the quality of the work wasn't so great, so what are you really paying for? I decided to try Aqua Nails after seeing some photos on Instagram. I have now been here twice for 2 pedicures and 1 gel manicure. The quality of their work is amazing. My first pedicure lasted 2 months and honestly still looked pretty good when I went in yesterday for a pedicure and a gel mani. I called ahead for a group of 3, but I expected a little bit of a wait regardless since it was a Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised when we were seen right away. Yes they talk to each other in Vietnamese -- that's their first language, it's what they're more comfortable with. If you're paranoid they're talking about you, well, that's a self-esteem issue. Prices are reasonable in my opinion -- I paid $59 for a standard pedicure and a gel mani (not including tips). Highly recommend giving them a try! read more

This place does amazing nails but are terrible with customer service. You'll walk in and they'll look at you like you have 5 heads before asking how may the help you. One nail tech I'm assuming his name is Michael is very rude. I've been here twice and every time he's always on his phone while helping a client. And I'm pretty sure they are talking about the customer I'm the native language, ( I have people of Asian decent in my immediate family) my pedicure that was supposed to be the deluxe spa one was not that great. When I go for a pedicure they make sure to get all the dead skin and such, all my pedicure looked like was some one painted my toe nails and that's it. For $47 I would would've painted them my self. I had a semi bad experience here with another employee (won't use names) until Kim started doing my nails. She takes her time, which to some people could be annoying but to me it means she cares about the quality and they way they look. She's somewhat of a perfectionist, if she doesn't like the shape or think it matches exactly to the opposite hand she'll redo the nail which I love. She always nails the shape I want to a tee. I got there and to be honest i was treated like they couldn't be bothered. They were annoyed I wanted real Gel and no acrylic. It was down hill from there. The woman who did my nails had the machine at a very high speed and she was using the rougher bigger head. The vibrations on my nails was killing me she left it that way even after I asked her to lower it or switch to the smaller tool. I paid 70 dollars for a mani and pedi. I get home and my feet are rough I had to buff them myself. She didn't sculp the gel to the nail bed and thus am left with a gap that looks like my nails are due for a fill! I've been going to Aqua for a while now. When I first started, it was great. Felt like a "spa", Michael really knows how to do nails. He's fun, likes to "joke" around. But, after a while you tend to see the flaws. Like many other reviews, I agree. Great nails, terrible customer service. Not THAT sanitary either. There are some techs that are friendly, and will have a conversation with you. And others that will straight up ignore you. As of recently, they all seem to be busy, or less staffed at peak times. I've waited over an hour a few times, and I stayed just because they were the only place that could do nails right. There's been plenty of nail techs in and out that have been great, and some not-so-great. But now, Michael (owner) is more concerned about his phone and whatever videochat/livestream he's on than doing actual nails. He gets distracted, his work gets sloppy, then gets annoyed when you have to remind him what you asked for. What a great example for your business? Most of the clients are regulars, who put up with everything. But being someone who used to come here all the time, and found another place that's GREAT with customer service- I see where I was blinded by great instagram worthy nails. I have been a frequent customer since they opened. My daughter and I went for our appointment this past weekend. Our total services came to $197.00. I tipped all three employees in cash. I paid for the services with my CC, I signed my receipt for the $197.00 and went on my merry way. The next day upon checking my bank account there was an additional $15.00 charge from them. I called and they stated that they did not charge me enough at my appointment and so they took it upon themselves to call my CC merchant to charge the additional fee of $15.00 without my permission. (I did not know that was legal).... I did not authorize that charge for their "so called" mistake. I find that to be an extremely unethical business transaction. I had Kim, she was very nice and did a really good job. She did cut me up a little on one hand. But it's nothing major and nothing I would hold against, it happens. I went on a Monday and made an appointment because based on the reviews, the weekends are busy and overcrowded. If you are going in for acrylics make an appointment ahead of time because they currently only had two people that did acrylics. I don't know how it is on the weekend or other days. Most of the employees at this salon are amazing. However, today I had the unfortunate experience of working with Micheal. From the start, he was participating in this weird livestream, sending messages to people over a video of a girl sedutively lip-synching. He also had both his earbuds in and when he wasn't typing messages to the stream, he was talking on facetime. My nails were burning because he was watching lip-synching girls instead of paying attention to what he was doing. Whenever I would say something, he would not acknowledge me. He also left halfway through the service, leaving a nice woman named Val to paint my nails. She did an adorable Valentine's design. If I ever return, I will not get my nails done by him. read more

Their staff is friendly, their service is excellent, and they give the most thorough, relaxing pedicures around. I had to wait a decent amount of time and then the manicure itself was on the longer side, but that's not the end of the world. What really was disappointing was that the dip color turned out absolutely terribly, there were cloudy spots on many of my nails, and the edges started peeling up the next day. Since the color was clear rather than opaque pink, I can see file marks, every peeling edge, and spots of the color i had before. After 1 week its already chipping of. This is the best place to get a pedicure. They do not rush you, they do not hurt you, and they make sure your feet are silky smooth before you leave. Its a couple dollars more expensive then your regular pedicure but totally worth it! I've only been there twice and have received amazing service from Annie. Working in customer service myself, I basically judge all my experiences and leave recognition where it is deserved. Annie is very quiet but very sweet. She takes her time, makes me feel relaxed and like I am the only one in the salon, which you never find in busy nail salons. Yesterday I went with a girlfriend and brought my five year old son. Not only did she take care of me, but she made sure my five year old was content, asked him questions and commented on how cute he was. Naturally, I let him pick my polish and he picked a glittery one that I wasn't too excited about. She painted all of my toes and then asked me to look at them, and if I wasn't happy she would paint them again, no questions asked. I thanked her but declined, no one would ever ask that, especially since they were like 15 minutes before closing. I would suggest this place to anyone. Called from parking lot to see if they could fit me in for a manicure since my regular place was busy and I had the time. They said yes, so went right in. More employees than customers in this place. Woman just points in the general direction of where I'm supposed to sit. Okay. I found a color I liked and sat down. Manicurist was very nice, unfortunately with the masks communication was impossible but manicures don't need directions. She did her thing, ended up redoing one nail leaves me under the dryer thing. About 20 minutes later she comes over. Nails felt dry, I left. Get in car, go to put seatbelt on and all the polish slides off a nail. Fabulous. $25 with tip and they last 20 minutes. Shut off car, put the ridiculous mask back in and go back in. Show lady in charge. Sends me back to manicurist. She's aggravated. Too bad. They weren't dry enough obviously. She redoes the whole hand. Back to the dryer. Sat there 1/2 hour that time to be sure. Get in car, decide not to even bother with seatbelt. Drive home. 2 days later first nail chips. Now 4 days later all but 2 have chips. Very disappointing read more

Today caused me to write this review. My review was too long for YELP, that's how much I have to say about my years worth of coming here and the stuff I've seen and heard the owner Michael say and do. A week ago I went in. Like clockwork, upon walking in Michael abruptly says "What you want!!!???" I showed him a photo of a design with holo flakes that I had seen in there the last time. He says "I can't do that." I said "I saw the flakes here it's just nail polish with the flakes over it and a topcoat... " "I can't do that it's underneath the nail." I literally was like... I got tech who I have had an OK experience with. I showed the flakes and I told her that I just wanted a natural base. She did a fabulous job besides the fact that I had to go back because she didn't execute it accurately. This leads me to YESTERDAY: I'm there because my not even week-old nails already broke. When I get there, I'm then told to sit in Michael's chair. He looks down and says "I don't know what that is." Regarding the opalescent flecks. I said "you have them because I got them done here." He Immediately orders me "go find them." I Explain that my middle fingers need to be fixed and that the thumb nail broke. I also tell him exactly how she applied the flakes. Instead of listening he used a thick gel paste to paint onto my nail and then a flat brush to mash the glitter into my nail. It looked nothing like the original. He then filed down the middle finger nails that needed sugar. All this was done very quickly. He says "you want to sugar you go get it." The woman to the left of me was in shock. I kept myself contained and walked DIRECTLY behind him to get it. He puts on one filed nail, and then I pointed out to him that he had to do the same for the other except he filed the cuticle part down on that nail and just applied the typical base coat. I put my hands on to cure. I sat there for a while in the lights. Too long. But was so busy on his phone he didn't care. He quickly dipped my nail, put another topcoat on and had me cure. As soon as it was cured one round he yelled, loudly, "OK you go!!! You get out of my chair, go!!" I was in shock. I left, blood was boiling. As I turned the ignition I realized he failed to put the sugar on my right hand. I Couldn't believe I had to go back in. I walked in and told him. He took my hand looked and said "it looks fine to me..." At this point, he was angry. There was already another client in his chair. He painted on some gel on my finger as I was standing. He then dipped into sugar once, and ordered me to go down another station. He furiously plugged a lamp in, it would not work. I told him and then I pushed down on it like you typically do to activate, except these things have magnetic metal bottoms and it's very easy for the bottom to come apart from the top. Michael then began YELLING at me, that I was breaking things. He then realized "oh the light doesn't work." He then walked down 2 stations and FOR THE LAST TIME LOUDLY said: "PICK UP THE LIGHT!!!! COME ON! BRING IT OVER HERE! HURRY UP!" That's when I lost it. I bravely retorted, "MICHAEL! I don't work for you!! I spend my money coming here, and I don't appreciate being treated this way." He plugged the light in and left. I waited 3 rounds to cure so I could calm down, and had to flag down someone for a top coat. She did, looked up at me and whispered, "I'm so sorry..." She should not have to apologize for his actions. This place is only alive because his "cult" followers who come for their ombré dip nails. I left and had to sit in the car for a few moments and cried a few tears and then drove home. I have never been treated so poorly. I hope all your followers can find another salon because at this point it's all about $$$ not quality. read more

I paid $40 for acrylic nails- the whole process was good but I got them on Wednesday and it is now Tuesday, it hasn't even been a week yet and one of the nails have fallen off and a couple of them are chipping and another few are beginning to loosen. I could see the dead skin that was left on there from a previous customer. She cut the skin on two of my fingers. The Salon was very dirty. The Owner didn't charge me for my manicure. She also had zero interest in apologizing to me directly. The Lady who worked on my Mom was very friendly and tried to appease us for our awful experience. One of the best nail salons around. I've had my current set of acrylic nails since January and they look new. No rings of fire and not one bit yellow. I have yet to have one break and I am hard on my nails. I suggest getting gel polish over the acrylic nails they will still look new after two weeks. I've been to quite a few nail salons in the area. All are different but this was one of the worst. I was unimpressed by the service I got here. The girl who did my pedi was so soft spoken that I couldn't understand a word she said. The massage and exfoliation were subpar, she acted like she never touched a foot before, just gentle to the point of utter laziness and not trying. The leg massage is basically them tapping your calves for a fee seconds then applying lotion. I will never waste my money coming here again. I believe the employees either slack off when the owner isn't around, or just don't give a damn about quality of work in general. They seem unskilled and uncaring about customer satisfaction. It didn't help that the chair I sat in was dirty. They need to deep clean the seats, armrests and cupholders. It was off-putting that she didn't have the workstation prepped before I sat down, and the place was mostly empty. The decor and ambiance is bright, pretty and unique by not as clean as it should be, but if they are going to do a half ass job then what's the point? Go somewhere else, trust me. read more

I've been here once before but today I decided to go and get a deluxe pedicure and gel mani. I had vee and she was amazing and did an amazing job. She took her time, my pedi lasted about an hour! It was great. For my gel mani I tried the new powder dip and it came out amazing! I was there for a total of almost two hours and that's just what I wanted! A place that actually takes their time with their customers. I dont understand these reviews about taking too long to be seated, I was seen right away and they had about 7 people on. Very disappointed. They don't have a very big selection of colors and definitely not the cleanest place I've been to. I got a full set of acrylics with gel on top. They are all different lengths and he forgot to do a base coat for the gel polish. Also on the expensive side at $40 when I usually only pay $30-$35 at most. I personally didn't have to wait but witnessed two other customers walk out bc they were they were told they could be fit in but ended up having to wait 15+ minutes. I went to Aqua Nail tonight and while my nails look good, the experience was unprofessional. The staff didn't speak to me at all, they communicated to each other very loudly the entire time in their language. They were yelling and laughing. The nails techs switched in the middle so they could answer a personal cell phone call. One tech dropped and smashed nail polish everywhere.
