We've bought a total of 3 Green Eggs at the Seattle Aqua Quip. Staff is always freindly, knowledgable and not pushy. They have a good stock of supplies, it's clean and pleasant. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend them to anyone purchasing a grill. No experience with them on the hot tub or pool arena, but assume they same applies. read more

We purchased a pool with a heater from aqua cal. We've only owned our equipment for 4 years and for the last 3 we have opened up the pool to find our heater not working. The only repair you can call is aquaquip, which will take a month to get an appointment to be seen that cost $300 & that does not include the cost of the whatever they repair. So...needless to say we have spent more money on repairs than what the heater actually costs. Horrible service & crazy prices! Do not purchase a pool heater from this company. read more

Purchased a hot tub here a little shy of 3 years ago. It is an 880 Sundance spa. The spa has had numerous electrical fails and design issues. This brand should be avoided. The kicker is the cost of repair. Since we are in a remote location they want $300.00 drive time to show up, 199.00 for the first half hour and 99.00 for each subsequent half hour. Note, location was not an issue when we purchased the spa. This business should be avoided since they sell inferior products and charge above market for goods and services. They usually charge more than what you can order on Amazon for the same part or chemical product. read more

The in store staff are great, extraordinarily helpful and friendly. A shout out to Ananda at the Shoreline location. The service department can be tough to get through though sometimes. With a new tub I had ordered a smart top installed, but there was a manufacturing defect.  It never really closed correctly. There was a 1 inch gap on the rear side between the tub and top. It was cause for a lot heat loss. They had come out multiple times and each time the service guy (who is really understanding and kind) took photos, admitted there was an issue and left to consult the 'home office'. After almost a year of bureaucracy the manufacturer agreed to replace the top. Once the new top was installed. Every thing was great! Not only is the gap gone, but it's easier to lift as well. A very happy customer in the end! read more

Pathetic service. Lack of having a BRAIN! I stopped in Sunday to get two bags of lump charcoal... No problem. Good thing they were in stock. I asked about a thermometer for my Big Green Egg. The new thermometers are way better than the one that came with mine 7 years ago. The man looked in the back for one, but came up empty. I asked if I could have one out of one of the floor models? He said, "no, I can't sell them without a thermometer." I said you have six. You can't sell me one of those? He stated again that no, he couldn't and that he could have one her Tuesday." Really, you can't sell me one of those six, and replace it on Tuesday? Nope, can't do it. Well, I'll be shopping elsewhere. For a measly 40 dollar thermometer, of which they had SIX. They lost a customer for life! Stupid people. Long drive for me from Newcastle, I won't be making it any time soon, like NEVER! read more

I appreciate Aqua Quip not only for their knowledgeable salespeople but also for their customer service. I bought a ridiculously expensive, stainless steel infrared grill from them several years ago. Unfortunately even though it's been stored and used on a covered deck all the non-stainless components like the burners rusted out. When I contacted the OEM through their web site they were singularly unhelpful. However, when I contacted Kip at Aqua Quip he connected me with their manufacturer's rep who sent replacement parts even though the BBQ is beyond warranty. There's no way I could have achieved that outcome without Kip's help. I will definitely buy from them again. read more

They suck! I had 2 phone calls with service dept and they both quoted $399 for a product, asked me come in to the store to pick it up. As soon as I walk in, the receptionist/sales person says the people i talked to have gone home and the price he and boss can give is $479. This level of bull$&#t i haven't experienced in a while. On top of that they sent a brand new intern/sales person who was already shaking and nervous to apologize while senior sales person was shouting from the background that $479 is the price. So please dont bother and take your business elsewhere, they dont believe in ethical sales practice. read more

I called upon Aqua Quip to service a hot tub that hadn't been used or serviced in about 5 years and my hope was to get is serviced, up and running and have bi-weekly/monthly service (cleaning) When I called the scheduler was so rude, impatient and demanded that I tell her if it was for repair or cleaning, it was both, her reply, verbatim " I don't want to schedule any appointments for you because we will be wasting our time" RUDE. The only reason I called them was because they had previously serviced this unit and might have the history for troubleshooting. The new home owners will be purchasing a new unit and getting it serviced with someone else. If you decide to use this company DON'T waste their time. ha! We have always used Aqua Quip in past but this last time was a horrible experience. We just needed our pool cleaned and started up. One guy came and went straight to pool furnace. A plug had fallen out and water came spurting out. We couldn't find it so he ordered the part and said he would be back the next day. Never showed up. Was only at our house for 15 minutes. Called after a few days and another guy came out and said immediately that we needed a new furnace. Was at our house for less than 15 minutes and nothing was done. So two trips to tell us we needed a new furnace and no work was done. We never signed to pay for any of it and never saw a receipt or invoice so we thought it may be a courtesy since we are a regular customer. Well, at the end of the month, our charge card got billed about $200.00 which means they keep our credit card on record. I never knew or approved them to charge it to my account. Also, last year they replaced some tiles around our pool. Well, during the course of the winter they ALL fell off. We've had this pool for 33 years and the tiles have lasted. I called to tell them and asked if their work was guaranteed and they said it wasn't. They said if they did it again, they would try a different sealant. Well, you would think since they are in the profession, they would know what is the best sealant. Anyways, decided to let our pool go this year and use another pool place from now on.... read more

These guys are the absolute worst when it comes to service. You generally can never get them on the phone and if you do, they are a nightmare to schedule service calls. I've had them fail to return voice messages, not show up to appointments, give mixed messages on timeframes for service calls and need for repeated visits ($85/visit, just to show up) for the same issue.. If you plan to get a spa from them, plan on being super annoyed every time you need it serviced!! read more

Aqua Quip quoted us something like $500 to come LOOK AT our pool heater, with a potential to repair or replace. Puget Sound Spas came and repaired it for $175. It's up to you where you spend your money, but the heater has been working great since, and that was in April, so I think the choice is pretty obvious. read more

This was a horrific, and expensive experience from start to finish. While Aquaquip has many locations making it really convenient the subsequent sub-par customer service completely cancels out the convenience factor. It took almost 3 months to complete our install which was a factor of misinformation about what could be done with gas line install, crossed wires between the service department's electricians and install team, a faulty fireplace transmitter that had to be replaced, and finally a custom face plate that was made incorrectly twice. Honestly, find another place to give your business to. I wish we had. read more

I don't gush. This is only my second Yelp review, and both have been for local businesses with terrific service. I bought a hot tub from a Mike Woods at the 4th Ave South Aqua Quip store in early 2010. It was expensive but it has worked great and I maintain it myself. Four years later, Mike Woods still works there, answers the phone, remembers me, fixes most things with advice over the phone, and when I need something ordered, to save me time he took it from a store new tub and sold it to me until the one he ordered from me arrived. Service after the sale, even when you rarely spend money there. When I've needed at-home service, it's all on-warranty, no trouble. The one time making an appointment was taking forever, i called the 4th Ave South store, Mike Woods answered, and he called their service dept and no issue after that. Enough said--money up front, but then reliability and knowledgeable service you can count on. read more

I was so pleasantly surprised at the level of service I recently received when I visited Aqua Quip! I stopped by the store last week to get some test strips, and was quickly greeted by Tiah - who is upbeat, super friendly, knowledgeable, and HELPFUL. She gave me great advice on the test strips I *should* be using for my tiny 3-person tub, and then helped even further by advising that I try a mineral/chlorine combo that would be better for my sensitive skin. So far I love the new set up, as it is less harsh on my skin and sinuses.. not nearly as chlorinated as before, and still perfectly sanitary. Anyway, the cherry on top of this friendly exchange came when I mentioned that I had been searching for a replacement pillow, without any luck. Even previous visits to the store were fruitless, which is understandable considering my tub is over a decade old. She was so eager to help that she took my contact info and tracked it down within 24 hours... and this is for a tub brand that they don't even carry! I'd spent months looking online for the correct replacement pillow, and had all but given up. Not only did Tiah come through big time by helping with my test strips and chemical setup, but she knocked it out of the park by going the extra mile and tracking down a replacement pillow. I am so impressed by her initiative and helpfulness, and so appreciative of her time - she has earned Aqua Quip a customer for life! read more

I love my fireplace (though the first installation in 2014 had to be fixed because of gas leakage) but in the last year, it just stops working every 4 months or so. I've been told that some of the parts may no longer be under warranty, and a service visit combined with first 30 minutes is almost $200. They have not been able to determine why the fireplace stops working. The technician I use, Troy, is great so I've put up with it but think of this as a quarterly Aquaquip tax on one's fireplace. If my warranty has expired I will probably start looking elsewhere for both answers and maintenance. read more

I'm sad to give this review as people in the store have always been helpful and nice. I bought my hot tub from them in 2011 and love it. The heater stopped working so I ordered a new heating element from them. They got it to me quickly and I installed it. It worked for two weeks and then stopped. Needing to call in a professional, I called to have someone come out and they wanted to charge me $220 for the first 30 min of diagnostic time and $99 for every 30 minutes after for diagnostic work and labor. Insane! Then after doing some research on purchasing parts from other places, discovered I could have gotten the exact same heating element for less than 1/2 the price! $113 vs the $250 I paid! I won't be buying from here again as it is obvious they are price gouging! I called several other repair places in the Seattle area afterwards and was quoted $150 for an hour long visit and the price went towards labor for repairs. Still expensive, but far more reasonable. read more

While I've had less than stellar experiences at other Aqua Quip locations, my experience with the SODO location has been nothing but excellent. Fighting to balance my pool this year has been significantly more challenging than years past, and I'd had it. After spending far too much money on chemicals at other places, my frustration was met with understanding at support by Tiah and her team. Tiah was super friendly, knew her stuff, and couldn't have been more helpful. She helped me develop a plan, continuously checked in (daily emails - what?!) and made me feel valued as a customer. I wouldn't use this service. More than likely they won't get it done the first time, so then you have to schedule a follow up which will take another 2-3 weeks. During the summer if you have a pool, that's precious time you wish you could be spending in your pool. Why should the consumer, if it was not their fault, have to wait because the tech screwed up the first time? If you don't fix the issue the first time, get your rear out there the next day and fix it. Period, end of story. But hey, when you don't pay your employees what they should be making, I can see why the effort is lacking. Maybe the owners should worry more about customer service than sell sell sell to line their pockets. Just a poor business model. read more

i would give them a zero if i could. spent over 20k on hot tub last summer, waited months for them to get it in (we understood delay as covid times) but it finally came in came with broken panel and bad/broken cover lift. finally got new cover lift installed and filled tub and it drained 1/4 way down from some massive leak, took weeks to get repair appointment ( repair guy was nice but he broke more panels while trying to find the leaking pipe ) and we were told to keep filling it everyday for weeks while we waited for repair guy again and then soon thereafter cover lift arm broke off in two-jagged hunk of metal now sticking off side of hot tub with leak and broken panels exposing insides of tub so we emailed ryan the manager of aquaquip-no reply for days, finally emailed nice service guy who somehow got in touch with ryan and service guy told us they said they want to deny request for this broken metal lift repair as we live on a bluff with winds (crazy reply from a professional company). we have the tub under a gazebo shielded by trees and have only had the chance to use the hot tub a few times at this point, only lifting cover to fill it as panels hang off exposing electrical. craziest experience from what we thought to be a professional company and horrible communication. do not buy from aquaquip. we will probably have to get an attorney at this point, totally unbelievable and unfair!!!! read more

I made 3 visits to Sodo AquaQuip in a week after purchasing an above ground pool at a big box store. The water chemistry was all off and yesterday I popped in for some advice. Previous reviewers are right on Tiah is the bomb! Friendly and informative, sold me just what I needed and gave me helpful tips and suggestions. i used to be a frequent customer of all aqua quip stores for my hottub. when the heater broke down i called them for repair's. that experience made me not want to even walk into a aqua quip store ever again. when the repair guy arrived he was nice and i showed him my hot tub and told him what was wrong with it. he opened it up and looked around for 10 minutes then said. "it will cost over $1000 to fix this unit and in my opinion it is best to just buy a new one". i felt like i was talking to a sales man instead of a repair man. he also said my unit was installed illegally (even though it was aqua quip that installed it years ago) and he would have to charge to fix that problem too. i ended up contacting another company who said only thing wrong was the heater and everything else was in good shape. he also said that it wasnt installed illegally and that there was no need to move anything outside of the unit except for the fusebox which was already outside of the unit. so if you want a salesman or a lying repairman come to your door then call aqua quip. there might be some honest ones but this guy just wanted to sell a new spa by saying everything was damaged when it wasnt. read more

I would highly recommend staying away from these people. I purchased a hot tub 8 years ago finally got to stages that service was needed. I've had 2 service calls and both were poorly handled. The scheduling cant be made at the time of the initial call. A service person has to call you back. On both accounts the service tech didn't show on time nor did they make a call to cancel. The first appointment scheduled, the guy showed up the next day when no one was home, decided to do some work anyway. He did fix the problem, however left all covering doors off the hot tub and didn't put things back as they were. In other words, just left the hot tub open and electrical components were exposed to children at play. An electrical safety hazard. Call number two, the service guy came out, not at the scheduled time again, then decided to address my wife in a very rude manner as to the problem of the power supply being too close to the hot tub and not up to code. Not to mention this is the exact place the professionals at Aqua Quip instructed us to put it. 9 years later its not up to code and refuses to service my tub. However, they didn't refuse to charge me. After several calls to the service people, I did get a refund from the service or so called service call. I will never use these people again nor do I recommend them. read more

I purchased a Green Mountain Grill at the Seattle location after doing a ton of research on smokers. The grill had a few manufacturers problems with it, but no fault of Aqua Quip. I had been corresponding with Jason at the Seattle store and after he hadn't heard from me for a few weeks he checked in to see how the grill was working. Turns out I had to exchange the grill, but during the exchange when I went in to buy more pellets Jason told me that he wanted to take care of the cost of them for my troubles. THIS IS EXACTLY HOW YOU TAKE CARE OF CUSTOMERS - proactively. He treated me how I would treat someone else. He's been A+ all the way, timely in his correspondence, and I appreciate that if he doesn't know something - he doesn't pretend to, he helped me to get in touch with Green Mountain to get my questions answered. He truly won over a lifetime customer who will refer other people, and purchase all future BBQ equipment from Aqua Quip. read more

Tom at Aqua Quip agreed to have a tech familiar with our spa come out and complete repairs that should have been diagnosed originally and only charge the difference between the correct repairs and previous payments. The repairs were completed and payments reconciled as agreed. read more

Aqua Quip is a decend company, the spas they sell tho have alot to be desired. We bought a Jacuzzi brand spa from Sundance Spas, sold by Aqua Quip, and it took 3 extra months to be delivered from the set date they promised, very disappointing, and they wanted all the money before they would deliver. We like the spa, after 3 months I needed to drain it and used the drain valve on the bottom, what it is used for, and it took 2 days to drain, I called Aqua Quip for service and a tech came out when promised and ordered the drain valve (new one) a month later came back to install it and it didnt help the drain process at all, I was told by the tech from Aqua Quip to just put the hose in the bottom of the spa and SUCK on the hose to get a siffen and drain it that way, I didnt like that suggestion and called the company, Sundance Spas and they laughed and said yep thats what you need to do. $10,000 for a spa and you need to SUCK ON THE DRAIN HOSE TO GET IT TO DRAIN, Aqua Quip needs to find a better spa to sell that dosnt need the owners to SUCK on the drain hose to drain it every 3-4 months to clean and refill there spas. VERY DISAPPOINTED OWNER WITH JACUZZI & SUNDANCE SPAS, dont buy those spas and ask Aqua Quip to get a better spa company they can WARRANTY, not all Aqua Quip fault, Andre was great but limited, service department isnt knowledgeable or maybe just dosnt care about sales after the fact like Eric A said.
