Aqua blue used to be my favorite spa.. That is until what happened today. I went in for a facial and a back massage with my provider of choice, Carol. Everything went well until I returned to the changing room to retrieve my belongings from my locker. Long story short, my phone was stolen. My purse and clothes were still there though. I searched high and low around the establishment but still my phone was nowhere to be found. I immediately spoke with those working the front desk as well as the manager to see if they had seen anything/anyone suspicious or if they could review the surveillance tapes. Honestly, they didn't care and refrained from taking any action. They were very rude and condescending. After this terrible experience I will not be returning. Please take your money elsewhere. I purchased a group on for a massage facial and foot scrub as a present for my wedding anniversary for my wife and I. Everything went great with scheduling and I even found the lady on the phone to be extremely nice. Thats where my good experience ended. I arrive this morning at 930am for a 10am appointment and had to leave my home early because I live in Oak Hill and this spa is in pflugerville. After arriving the lady at the front desk told me that my appointment had to be cancelled because the massage therapist called in sick the day before. She then proceeded to tell me that the owner or boss would't let them notify us the day before when the spa found out it would be without the massage therapist. So not only did we find out that our appointment was cancelled at after we arrived we found out that they could have told us the day before and didn't. Now not only is my anniversary present for my wife completely ruined, I didn't have enough time to find another spa for a same day appointment. I am a firm believer in service, I have been in the service industry my entire life and this was by far the most aggravating thing to deal with when you only have a certain day off to do something for your anniversary and you find the day was screwed because of someone else. I will continue to spread the word about the terrible service and the way my case was handled until I get my point across. Thanks for ruining my anniversary with my wife. read more

I went to Aquablue for my birthday as a gift from a friend, it was great the robes were soft and the slippers nice and squishy, as soon as I walked out of the changing room I was given a glass of champagne. I was given a great massage by Leeann who was wonderful she talked to me through my massage since I hate silence and worked on all the knots in my back. Next I got a facial and again a glass of champagne and it felt so relaxing I fell asleep. My only complain was the reception. I got a call the day before with a conformation time for an hour later then what I was told and got a call the day of my appointment telling me it was an hour earlier. Best massage ever! I've had a lot of massages, but never had better. The staff were very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. My husband showed up a few minutes early to pick me up and they made him comfortable in the quiet room to wait for me. Not a big deal, but very considerate, and it made me feel good that they took care of him too. Ernestina was wonderful! She was very responsive to my needs. This was my first time at Aquablue and a spa setting (I'm used to individual practitioners with their solitary massage room, just like mine --I'm also a massage therapist) -- I actually walked in just to ask questions about how they work & my to discuss my much needed massage (to be scheduled later). After talking with the well informed & friendly front desk, they asked if I wanted to have a massage TODAY--they had an opening in five minutes. That was a delightful surprise. After determining which massage I'd have, I was escorted to the dressing room & shown my locker. I am not used to this part -- all other locations allow me to undress in the massage room, but I guess I can understand the need for getting the room ready for the next client. Other than that, I was impressed with the quality of work by the practitioner -- and LOVED the hot stone add-on (never experienced that before) to my Swedish massage. I went in extremely achy from a recent car accident & my arthritic spine, but came out with a ton of energy and feelin' no pain -- literally! Such a nice change! My practitioner listened to me when I asked for more or less pressure, avoided areas that needed much less work than would usually be done, was very open to constructive comments (thank you Leana!) and made my massage a great experience. I'll definitely be coming back! Though, I may check out some of the other practitioners at Aquablue, just so I know what each one's specialty is...absolutely no reflection on my practitioner from today. Though pricey for me (used to do exchanges with other practitioners, so never really had to pay & couldn't afford my rates--lol), really not that expensive considering the relief it provides!! Didn't think to ask if they accept insurance! Will have to ask on my next trip, because that would be awesome!! read more

This was my first time at AquaBlue Skin and Body Spa. I went there because my son had given me a gift card that could have provided for many services. I opted for the message and I felt like I was very pampered by having my own locker, given a nice spa robe and slippers. The ambiance, the quietness, the candles add to preparing you to feel totally relaxed and pampered. And just before my message, I was shown to a "Relaxation Room" where you can sip a cup of hot tea, or drink cucumber water. The message therapist was friendly, knowledgeable, and you could tell, loved to please her clients. She kept underlining she wanted to do what was best for me. Took advantage of their spring deal and booked a relaxation massage. Got a friendly call from the receptionist the day before to remind me of my appointment which she was nice enough to push back a few hours later for me. Upon arrival I was greeted and led to the back where the receptionist gave me my own locker and key so I could store my belongings. Changed into a soft robe and comfy slippers to match and was led to the relaxation room where I waited for my appointment. Sipped on the provided cucumber water but didn't partake in any of the offered snacks. Michelle, my masseuse, came in a few minutes later to lead me to the massage room. She was very sweet and took great care in listening to all my concerns. She was able to work out the kinks in my back and I left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Hands down one of the best massages I received. Definitely, ask for Michelle when booking a massage here. The only downside was that my room was close to the lobby and I could occasionally hear loud conversations over the soothing music they played. I had a customized facial and I am feeling somewhat indifferent about my experience. i honestly didnt love it but it also wasnt as bad as i guess it couldve been. I have a background in the Spa Industry so i am used to excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff. When i arrived for my appointment, i was taken to the relaxation room. My esthetician walked in and all she said was "ok we can head over here". She just pointed to a room across the hall and did not introduce herself or asked how i was doing, if this was my first visit, etc. When i got into the room she instructed me to to put the robe on and said she would be back. When she returned she said "so you're getting a customized facial? Are you allergic to anything?". There was no discussion of my skin concerns, my current routine, what products i use, etc. During the facial, i asked a few questions and the responses i received were very short. She sounded as though she was confident in what she was saying. I am used to estheticians telling you what they are using or the next steps and why, what they are noticing with your skin and what you can do to help improve your skin. There was no skin education or interaction in regards to my skin type at all. She did give a very relaxing facial massage and the extractions were not painful as they can be at times. After she applied the mask, she gave a neck and upper arm massage. She literally rubbed my neck using the same exact motion for what seemed like 10 minutes... and when i say the same motion, i literally mean the same exact motion over and over. It was to the point that it was making my skin numb! After my facial was finished, she said she would provide me with some samples and they would be at the front desk. She walked out and that was it. Typically an esthetican will ask if you are interested in product or discuss skin concerns they think you should address... there was none of it. She didnt wlk me to the front desk or ask if i needed anything. I had to ask one of the girls at the front if i could use the restroom. When i was paying, there were several girls sitting around talking... i am assuming these were the same girls that i could hear talking and laughing very loud throughout my entire facial. The girl that checked me out was very pleasant and said she could help me pick out some skin care items to purchase but she ended up helping another customer while i was looking at the products and at that point i was just ready to leave. I love the way my skin feels and it looks good but honestly, for the money the professionalism and expertise just wasnt there. It seemed like there was a rush to get me in and out. There wasnt that feel of valuing the customers experience. I would consider giving a different esthetician a chance or maybe get a massage but i probably will not be getting another treatment with the young lady that i had today. read more

One of the best massages ever! I love the ambiance, service and the massage. I got a Swedish massage on Valentine's weekend. My friend also enjoyed the massage a lot. The room's dimmed lighting was perfect with soft music playing. They also have a relaxation room with champagne, fruits, chocolate, and water. Make sure to reserve the showers when you check in. You also get a locker for all your things. Also, at the end of your visit, make sure to sign in your email address and type in your phone number on the tablet to get future discounts. I like my massages not too rough. Valerie did a great job! My friend got a deeper tissue massage with Leanne and it was great. My sisters, mom and I were very excited to try this establishment, it came with great recommendations and the reviews are great. We booked an appointment for my mom on the only weekend she gets off which happened to land on her birthday. On said weekend, we drive two hours to her appointment which included a facial, a full body massage and another treatment. We drop mom off and tell her to enjoy her experience, relax, she deserves it. In the middle of said appointment I get a call from the receptionist, she states that my mom's treatment has to be cut short because the person who is supposed to be giving her a massage isn't going to make it. Apparently this person is driving down from San Jose and can't make it on time. So my mom is waiting in the massage room all that time, no offer to have someone else take care of her was made. The girl that called us said "sorry", and charged us for the facial that my mom received. I just don't understand how I can drive two hours and make my appointment in time, but their massage specialists can't, furthermore, no courtesy offer was made to have someone else take care of my mother. They've of course lost 4 prospect clients. Unfortunate. read more

My friend and I had a few hours to kill in Salinas and happened upon Aquablue Spa, and they were able to fit us in for a couple's massage + scrub (that is, we got our treatments at the same time in the same room, but by different therapists). Our two therapists were professional and friendly, and the massages were great - very relaxing. The receptionists were also friendly and helpful, and the facilities clean and inviting. Today my husband and I went to AquaBlue to enjoy a couples session. He got he deep tissue massage and I the maternity massage since I am 35 weeks pregnant. Megan and Michelle helped us today. They were both so friendly, they made us very comfortable and we sooo appreciate that! My husband enjoyed his massage, he definitely needs it becuase he was felt partially paralyzed after a stroke he suffered in a coma about 5 years ago. he was feeling great today! :) I am very thankful for that. My massage was so lovely, I have been pretty miserable lately, I am definitely coming back once more before I am due to give birth! Have been coming to this wonderful jewel since it opened. Planned my daughter's special bridal "Spa Day". They somehow misplaced or did not place the bridal party of 5 reservation. What a mess. Adding to the stress of the upcoming event, and leaving the bride in tears. We arrived on time at 9 in the morning with 5 women from around the county, 1 being an 88 year old senior. Do you really think we all would have been there at that hour with an old lady if it hadn't been confirmed? Yes, we had been told that it was "all set". To make a bad situation worse, Ashley the manager, continued to give the mother of the bride attitude. Never owned up to their error. $5.00 off for an $80 massage? Seriously? We carted the 88 year old grandmother back home. She never did get her time. Speeding to get back to the mess that was rescheduled, ruined new manicures for all. And continued "lip" and "disrespect" from Ashley. Initially the gals at the counter at 9am and our party were trying to work through it. But once the manager got involved, she made a bad situation so much worse with her disrespect. This "spa day" did the exact opposite for the bride and mother and grandmother. We can roll with just about anything, but when the manager Ashley turned the whole situation around to "our fault", she surely should not be in this position. First all all I would like to say the massages here are amazing but the people at the front desk do not know what they are doing! I made an appointment to get a Romeo and Juliet massage for my fiancé and myself the weekend before Valentine's Day. The day before they not only called me once but twice to change the appointment time. Which was not easy for me since I had to change my babysitting arrangements twice! As for my massage goes every thing was perfect. After the massage we wanted to use the sauna which that was out of order no big deal but what really got me was when I payed at the end. When I previously called to make my appointment I specifically asked them if I could use my spa finder gift cards and they said yes. When I tried to pay with them they said sorry we do not take spa finder gift cards for specials. Which I had $125 worth that went to waste because I purchased them for that particular reason. The owner was suppose to call me. He never did. The package also included a rose and chocolates. I had to ask for my rose and they said the chocolates were the chocolates they had in the relaxation room. Misleading! The ad made it seem like you would receive your own box of chocolates. The reason I'm writing this today is because my mom and aunt went there today with appointments to get the massages and facial package. After they were done with with the massages they were told there was no one to do their facials. I think they need to do a better job at running this place. They can't keep using the excuse a emergency came up. read more
