    Grilled Tuscan Chicken Sandwich

Not worth your time. Only option within the Pala Mesa Resort, so it's not like you'd have much of a choice if you're here golfing or staying at the hotel. Ordered our food and it took almost 40 minutes to arrive, even though there was quite literally 5 other people sitting down here. The food wasn't bad but nothing special. We ordered the GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH, CRISPY CHICKEN SANDWICH, & PRIME RIB DIP SANDWICH.

Decent place to stay if having a wedding in fallbrook like what we did. Frequented the restaurant often for breakfast lunch and dinner. I liked the steak and eggs even though the steak was much smaller the second day. Happy hour had good deals and the service was solid. Wouldn't go out of my way to come here but a great option for staying at the resort

I would much rather golf than eat here. Disappointed that my avocado toast did not use fresh cut avocado, more of a paste. The pickled radish tasted old and the bread was not even toasted. I asked for the egg and feta on the side. I do not recommend the avo toast. The service was pretty slow for early Saturday morning, but the views of the golf course are nice.

Terrible! The champagne was flat, and turned into vinagar taste. They replalced with a new one and better. However, the kobe hamburger was cold and completely RAW! Waitress returned 45 minutes later after others had already eaten. The fries were so salty that it was clear there must have been an accidental pour. The manager sat at a table and drank three wines, and two of the waitresses stood in front of our table dancing, preventing us from watching the concert. The kicker, they charged us for full price for a meal that was absolutely inedible. Yep, $60.00, for that lovely experience and pray I dont get sick. On a good note, it was Holloween, and the band was absolutely incredible!

Dined here on 12/15 at 4pm. Nice ambiance. Female could have been a little more outgoing and not so shy. You could tell she just wanted to take the order and go. She seemed nervous. Baked avocado was ok. I wanted to try it because it seemed interesting and different, but I would not order it again. There was nothing that wowed me with the flavor. The rest of the food was good and tasty. Brussel sprouts are delicious.

The restaurant is inside the hotel in the Golf course. The view is beautiful. If you want to relax and have drinks with friends this is a nice place. The alcohol drinks are great. The bar tender makes them strong. The food I do not recommend. We waited around 30-40 mins to get our food. The food had no flavor. Recommend this place only for Drinking and golfing but not for food.

I planned our 20th anniversary party at Aquaterra and it was a luncheon. We had seven people and it was a beautiful setup, we sat outside overlooking the golf course, they have a new menu. I wouldn't say a lot of new items but they have a new menu. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and that was very good, but this review is about the server. Matthew. Matthew had just started a week ago and he was spot on. He was attentive, he was friendly, he was very polite, he served the food in a timely manner. He had a personality and a sense of humor. He's going to be a great waiter.

Spaghetti Squash with pancetta, pomegranate seeds, and balsamic reduction. A must!

I was hesitant because of the recent reviews, but since we were staying at the hotel, and it was raining, we thought we'd try it. LOVED IT! Everything was delicious - squash, steak, drinks, and BRUSSELS (and I'm a connoisseur!). I never leave reviews but felt compelled to. Monica, our sever, is a jewel. Several regulars came to say hello to her while we were eating.

We love Aquaterra Restaurant! We come here every time we are in town! This is our second time we have Andi. She is over the top with attentiveness, kindness and the food is always fabulous!

Food is ok, very overpriced. The view is nice from patio. The staff at lunch was quite rude when we asked questions about menu.

Because of this I've never been able to share the gloriousness that is a full seafood boil, especially a good one like Pier 88. The headless peel n' eat shrimp and crawfish, the true backbone of any decent boil, were plump and delicious. I felt kind of giddy every time I would finish one and saw how many were left. The lobster tail was a good change-of-pace and the king crab legs, admittedly not my favorite item, still managed to satisfy. I also like how they threw in so much potatoes and sausage into the mix. It was definitely super generous at what other places consider an afterthought. I thought the service was alright. They seemed to have forgotten one of my party's margaritas but that could have been more a slow bartender than an inept server. I also never got a prompt to refill my soda, which is a little more concerning. The ambiance was pretty good. There were plenty of tables and booths, and everything was spaced appropriately. You definitely don't feel like you're on top of the tables around you. They also had plenty of TV's as the World Cup was easy to watch along with. I could be happy here any time I get the craving for some shrimp and crawfish. And as long as the servers were more diligent about refills. One time I'll figure out how to get Miss Scotch herself to one of these things, dirty hands be damned. I'd say getting your hands in the muck and mire of delicious foods is half the fun. And with places like Pier 88 out there, you could be having a fun time and a full belly every day of the week.

Highly recommend for anyone searching for seafood in Vista, restaurants in Downtown Vista, or a great local dining experience in North County San Diego.

The person who answered the phone was so kind and helpful. She advised they give a complimentary slice of their cheesecake for the birthday celebrant but didn't sell whole cakes. She informed me about the 85 Degree bakery and Stater Brothers next door. They will gladly store the cake. The menu was a little difficult to understand but once our waiter , sorry I forgot his name explained the combos vs AlaCarte and how much would feed a party of 5 We explained one person ate like a bird 2 of us were starving and 2 were medium hungry. He asked us what we wanted in terms of seafood. We all wanted crab one person didn't want shrimp etc etc. he advised us to start with 3 (bags) boil combos all with crab ,comboed with other seafood to make it a variation. Plus add an extra portion of crab. Well it was perfect. We did 3 different spice variations and shared The table is lined with plastic. A roll of paper towels. Plus the tools. Cracker and extractor. And gloves. Omg we had a blast eating the delicious food. Everything was fresh and just scrumptious. We had one bag with the garlic and old bay. Mild (I love heat but read mild had a kick. ). Which is did but was overall a mild kick. I was slurping the juice out of the clam shells it was so gosh darn good. Our waiter and the rest of the staff checked on us. Refilled our tea and water. We made a pretty good mess of things. Best part is we didn't have to clean up. Our waiter was so thoughtful, when it was time to have cake and open presents he invited us to use a clean table. He brought us plates and forks for the cake too. The restaurant space is kinda different. You walk into the restaurant and you're in a pretty large foyer You move through it to a gigantic dinning area with dozens of tables and booths. It has a huge high ceiling and appears more like a banquet size area. There were several other diners but because of the size of the restaurant it didn't feel crowded. We were trying to figure out what the space was used prior to Crab Pub. It has an Asian twist decor (marble deco columns) but decorated with fishing type props and decorations. It looks like service stations encircled the outer edge of the restaurant. Thinking it was a buffet place in the past. We loved the playlist music Thinking it was club like 80's 'maybe 70's original hits. Thankfully , No piped in cover instrumentals. So it was extra fun to get down and dirty eating and listening to great music. Bathrooms were clean All n all it was reasonably priced (we did Snow Crab as opposed to the King Crab that was pricier ). Recommend for families , and friend groups. Unsure if first date would be good as you have to get into the boil bag and it'll get messy. I hope to come back soon to try more combo seafood and different spice offerings

My mom loves oysters, and they did not disappoint fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth ordering. We also tried the gumbo, and it was incredible rich, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the seafood. The fried shrimp was a little overcooked, and the oil tasted slightly old, but it was still good and definitely not enough to take away from the overall experience.
