My husband and I stayed at the resort over the Presidents Weekend. We dined at AquaTerra and enjoyed the food. The service was decent, although my pet peeve is ordering a salad and having the entree brought out too soon. Had we been waiting for our entrees it would have been fast service, but since we were still enjoying the salad it made me feel rushed. The prices are a bit high but good food. Menu looked really good and we had a nice table outside with live music which was ok but what was really bad was the service. The waitress was nice enough but we only ordered 2 soups 2 kids meals and some scallops. It took over an hour for the soup to come out and then my son didn't like his food because they used a weird cheese in the kids quesadilla . I tried to find our waitress but didn't see her for 30 more minutes so my son had just decided to eat my soup and didn't want anything redone for his meal. I didn't get refills on my tea but noticed that the table that was ordering alcohol was getting great service. When the other food finally came it was 2 hours since we first sat down so I asked to just have it boxed up. The waitress did take the quesadilla off our bill which was good. When I talked to the manager and told her the wait was just way to long and ridiculous the comment I got was " well sometimes it is nice to have an evening out" ummm did they even hear what I was saying? Anyway it is sad because the soup was ok and the scallops that I had boxed were fine as well but they really need to add some more staff or train them that all tables big and small are money to the restaurant and had she been faster she could have turned our table over for more people increasing tip a revenue. read more

Overall the food was excellent. Bread salad was OK; the lobster ravioli was wonderful; and the crepe dessert was excellent. The service on the 19th was exceedingly slow!! We've eaten at AT many times and the service has never been as slow as it was on the 19th. read more

The GPS took us the wrong way.to get there... probebly was a sign. Took awhile to get someone to our table.. although once Reggie got there he started out very strong. Great recommendations very personable. When he forgot the lemons for thwater we totally gave him a bye. The calamarie Salad was delicious.. but then the not so good started. The ribeye was recommended and was ordered medium rare. Steak came to the table very close to well done and was no where in the ballpark of 14 oz... Then the horseradish sauce took 12 minutes to get to the table. Over done steak cold by that time.. sad face on this choice for a birthday dinner. No compensation given. This is an amazing venue but very poorly run. We've been here 3 times this summer on a Friday night for the music and the service is horrible and the food is mediocre at best. After the sub par food at the Canyon Grill at Welk, my wife and I were looking for a decent place to eat. After a few opentable reviews and yelp reviews, I thought I'd try one of the higher rated restaurants around. So we started the night with something adventurous, the baked avocado. Talk about an absolutely perfectly heavenly appetizer. Everything is balanced brilliantly. It was absolutely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately they were out of prime rib (only medium, & medium well were left). But my steak wasn't just the salt and pepper seasoned faire you get at Steer & Stein or Sizzler. It was an herb rubbed succulent rib eye, that didn't fail to please. It was wonderful that we got to pick our own sides. I went for the bacon green beans and garlic mash. Both were perfectly prepared. Our only fault in the night was my wife's riseling was a little stinky. The staff promptly replaced it with a glass from a new bottle. The service was a little lacking because of Monday Night Football, but we understood, and the night was wonderful. Thank you AquaTerra for a wonderful night and an absolutely unforgettable appetizer and Honeymoon meal! read more

Latest adventure was to enjoy a beautiful Saturday afternoon on the Aquaterra patio overlooking the golf course. Beautiful environment and my group ordered an assortment of the Small Plate items. All were fantastic. We enjoyed the yummy Gruyere Dip with sliced apples and roasted brussell sprouts; the spicy beef quesadilla with guacamole, the garlic french fries, the baked avocado with the chianti glaze, and the fresh shrimp. All had excellent taste and presentation was very attractive! Kudos to the chef! Service excellent as well. read more

Almost the worst dining experience I've ever had! Reserved table wasn't ready, had to wait 30 minutes. Didn't get water or see a waiter/busperson for 15 minutes. We ordered our food when the waiter asked if we wanted anything to drink.. 35 minutes later the chef brought out our COLD food and said, Sorry, folks, we're a bit busy tonight.. Then we had to FIND our server to get our check... total time spent for a terrible dining experience, 2hours! read more

We've been to Aqua Terra several times over the past few years. I would rate it as just OK, nothing we've had has been bad but not what I would expect for a place of this caliber. The view is very nice but the place is in need of a face lift, old soiled carpets, chairs soiled, etc. We find the restaurant at Temecula Creek Inn much better. read more

Visited Pala Mesa and Aquaterra for the first time for drinks as well as an overnight stay. They had live music, which was awesome! The drinks and food were great too! Overall, we enjoyed our whole experience and would definitely return. read more

Hidden gem... Great atmosphere and friendly service. Food is always consistently good and value priced. Amazing dining program! 25% off food and on Mondays it's member appreciation night and you get 50% off food and drinks. I love the restaurant patio. The whole resort is is serene and is well landscaped. The rooms may be dated but are comfortable and responsible priced. Golf course is challenging and has the best greens around. I walked up to the wedding site and was astounded on how cool the place is, waterfalls and garden paths everywhere. If I were to want to get married again this would be the place. The staff service really make up for any shortfalls this place may have. They are very nice and all are willing to do what it takes to make you feel comfortable. Love this place....... read more

This place is a joke. If it weren't for the fact that it's only two miles from where I live I would never dine here. Today it took over 30 minutes to get our breakfast, and once it finally arrived the poached eggs were hard and one person in our party didn't get what she actually ordered. When we stated our displeasure our server April started giving MAJOR attitude. I mentioned I probably needed to write a review on the internet and April's reply was "Well you won't be the first person, and probably not the last" what a class act... I'm a pretty easy guy to make happy when it comes to food, unfortunately this place couldn't make me happy. It started with seating ourselves, not really problem but it was awkward having the waiting staff stare at us until we sat down. After seating ourselves we got a nice waiter who quickly did the usual, and got us some drinks. It took 15min for him to get back to us (did I mention there were maybe 10 People in the whole place?) we quickly ordered the Greek style ribs and a chicken burger. Then waited for over 40 min for our food to arrive, at which point we had only had our sodas refilled once, 5 min before the food came out. It was like they forgot that we were even there until the food was ready. Once we got the food it was all cold. I have never been served cold food at a restaurant that charges 10 bucks or more for your plate of food. The ribs had great flavor, but like I said were cold. The chicken sandwich had no flavor whatsoever. I even had to go as far as to add ketchup to my "gourmet" burger. Once again we didn't see the waiter again until he brought us our check. The rest of the serving staff was leaning up against walls while we waited and waited the entire time. Overall poor food no service and no chance that we will be back there. The only reason they get the second star is everything else in this resort has been perfect, probably doesn't really deserve the second star by itself! read more

The happy hour for sushi was pretty bad. Took 15 mins before anyone acknowledged us, then another 15 mins to get 2 sushi rolls (there was only 1 other group of 2 in the entire place). I don't know how anybody can complain about this restaurant. For starters I'm a true celiac, not some yuppie trying a new fad, so it's difficult to serve me to begin with. Tito, our server was on top of it. I didn't have to explain it to him, no long story about how to deal with it, bam, ready to order. P.S. when I woke up this morning, no problems. so it's verified: this is a true gluten free restraunt. I was having dinner with 2 lovely ladies who don't have to eat gluten free so I can include a little feedback on the stuff I can't eat also. Not only was everything deliciousness, the presentation of the food was beautiful too. Food Network worthy.The ladies had the calamari, which smelled fantastic from accross the table. I had the spiced lamb chops, medium, which were fantastic, even without the sauces that usually come on it, the ribeye that one of the ladies had looked, and was reportedly as well, fantastic, and whatever the other girl had(some fishy dish), that looked and smelled excellent as well **Note here: I don't eat fish, I usually don't like the smell of seafood dishes, so if it smelled that good to me it must've been sensational for them.** Live band that was pretty good, kept the customers dancing all night. I ate here tonight with my husband, aunt and uncle. My husband and uncle had been here before on a golf weekend and said the restaurant was 5 star. They would choose the resort for golf because of the restaurant. We arrived a few minutes before our 7 pm reservations and the gentlemen said he would be right back, 10 to 15 minutes later he returned and seated us. It was another 10 minutes later before we ordered our drinks which took at least 20 minutes to be delivered to us. My uncle got up and complained, to no avail Thirty to forty minutes later we placed our dinner order. I decided to have a second glass of wine and asked the waiter if it will not take another 20 minutes I would like a second glass. He apologized for the service saying he new it was really bad. I got my second glass fairly quickly. When we got the food 40-50 minutes after we ordered it the french fires on my uncles, my husbands and my dish were cold. The waiter again apologized saying they were short staffed. When the waiter was clearing the table he dropped and broke a glass right behind my husband who had to stand up so they could clean it up. Then the bill came which we had asked to be split in to, one for my aunt and uncle and one for my husband and myself. Some how my husband salad ended up on my aunt and uncles bill. By this point we decided we would just give our uncle the money for the salad as who knew how long it would take to bill fixed. In the end our dinner for four took about 2 1/2 hours. read more
