Hello I'm Audrey which I began going to Aquatic Physical in May of this year could hardly walk severe pain from Rheumatoid Arthritis. Let me tell you the minute you walk in their facility you are greeted with a warm welcome and even when you leave the same. The entire staff makes you feel welcome and they are friendly, caring, considered, sympathetic, understanding, etc. They will work with you and encourage you daily and their goal is to make you feel much better. I must say with the help of my new medicine Xelganz and still the excellent staff their I'm walking now without pain just stiffness which hope soon will be gone. I'm almost running out of the building when finishing. lol When I first notice an improvement of my health was coming out of the pool and I was almost running down the steps OMG I didn't realize what I had just done. When in May and until then I could barely make it up them. I began to cry and give God the praise right then and their and Hailey just hugged me and she cried to. In fact I had everyone tearing up even other patients. They had seen me come in and saw the pain on my face and how slow I was walking. I can do nothing but give first God the praise, Xelganz, and the entire staff at Aquatic for working with me. Also Brandon was my first therapist and he has moved on to bigger things and a new dad that works with his schedule. He was wonderful and got me started on my way. Just a HUGE shout out to the Owners also they know what they have done for me and I say thank you. Again thank you for allowing me to be a patient at your wonderful facility with the excellent staff you have. I will recommend you all forever. Now I'm not done yet just because I'm walking little good lol. I have until the end of the year December with my treatment with you all. As the owner told me last night he said I'm so happy for you and now don't over do it take it slow. You all this is good advice because I have been in severe pain for 4 years and last year for 3 months could not walk. God is good and thank him for places like Aquatic Physical Therapy. I have been a patient at a number of different physical therapy facilities here in Raleigh, as well as in other states and Aquatic Physical Therapy & More is by far my favorite facility, with my favorite therapists and I truly wish I had not waited so long to try them out. What's different? First and foremost, I am comfortable with every single staff member - they are professional, know what they are doing, are friendly and truly make you feel at home. They actually take an interest in you and are truly there to help and that has not always been my experience with other companies. The facilities are well maintained and the atmosphere is professional, yet comfortable. The pool and the underwater treadmill are AWESOME and can be real game changers. I was initially extremely hesitant and self conscious about the idea of aquatic PT and potential embarrassment as I am NOT comfortable in any type of swim attire, but the pool is small, the staff and other patients are friendly and not at all judgmental, and this is the perfect type of PT for me and my long suffering knees. The pool is a comfortable temperature and there is a hot tub you can relax in for a bit afterwards. The maximum amount of patients in the pool (which is more of a large tank) is about 4. There are usually 2 or 3 people at a time, but sometimes you luck out and have the pool all to yourself. I have just graduated from using only the pool to also using the gym facilities/machines, and I enjoy that as well. For the first time ever, I actually look forward to going to PT. I have been here since October 2019, and have loved it. I should also note that they have been especially careful about cleanliness during Covid 19, and I feel very comfortable continuing with my PT during this time. I felt that the staff at Aquatic Physical Therapy and Beyond were very attentive to my needs. Specifically, they understood that my lower back trouble needed some special help. It had been hurting for many years w not much improvement thru 2 different PT and 2 chiropractor rounds as well- each with many sessions. Aquatic Physical Therapy worked very carefully with me to assess my problems and to create exercises that truly help me. I started in the pool- I needed that because my back was so bad also worsened by sedentary lifestyle due to pain (covid didn't help!) by the time I went through pool then "graduated" into the gym, I was gaining the strength and mobility needed for more rigorous exercises. I have to say I'm at least 60% better in lower back pain and abilities. This treatment success has given me my life back. Specific accolades go to Ned (the new dad) and how he guided an intern who helped me very professionally also. I learned things I never knew or no one ever taught me going to different PT's and chiropractors. I recommend this group to anybody who needs PT. First Class all the way. The people make Aquatics Physical Therapy and Beyond a first-class place for physical therapy. They know your name and always have a smile to greet you. I have been a patient on and off for several years. Early on, we worked for several years to avoid surgery; I knew would happen someday. Then after a couple of surgeries, we worked to get me back to normal. The front office makes scheduling and insurance filing flexible and efficient. You are always one on one with a therapist who is caring and knowledgeable. No sharing time with another patient. The therapist listens to you and works to help you attain your goals. I started in the pool each time to get everything moving. I love the warm pool and the underwater treadmill. Yes, there is a treadmill in the pool. I moved to the gym for strength, stretching and stability. They have all of stuff to get you moving. Who knew climbing stairs in an office building would be physical therapy? I am a retired disabled veteran who served in the Army and Navy. Over the years I've had multiple injuries and been through several rehabilitation programs, in multiple military hospitals. Recently the Veterans Administration covered my medical needs for double hip replacements. I selected Aquatic Physical Therapy & Beyond for my recovery treatment. Because of my prior military service, I hold myself and others to a very high standard. At Aquatic Physical Therapy & Beyond they rotate their patients through their staff of therapists and your progress is recorded at the end of every session. Each therapist reviews your history at the beginning of each session. I have never come across a team of therapists where each one of them surpassed my expectations 100%. In the past I experienced some therapists who ask too little of their patients. Some ask too much and overwork their patients. Not so at Aquatic Physical Therapy & Beyond. Their practice of review before each session, keeps each therapist in step with your progress. Amazing! If you need physical therapy treatment, this is the place to be. read more

I am 70+ yrs old female, disabled and lots of nerve damage in lumbar area from numerous falls over the years. Not much can be done for no discs in L-1 through L-5. Drugs and injections don't help anymore. Surgery isn't an option. Pool therapy was the biggest relief and took pain away for extended periods of time using interesting techniques and exercises. It makes you want to cry with joy. I was able to strengthen muscles in feet, legs, spine in the pool and in gym to assist me in standing and walking upright. Very helpful, safety conscious and always creating new plans to help me gain strength in my limbs. The crew there are wonderful caring individuals and professional, creative, and friendly-kind. I felt hopeful for the 1st time that I can get so much better because of so much that I learned and how I can continue to improve. This group of young folks are awesome ! ! ! I found Aquatic PT and Beyond researching facilities that were taking new patients with no waiting period. I am grateful for this facility. The owner is very approachable and understanding. He seems to really care for his patients. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. The physical therapists are well equipped and knowledgeable about what treatment each patient needs. They have helped me strengthen my legs, improve lower back pain, better balance and coordination as well as improve my overall health. I was able to come off of my rolator and knee scooter since working with Aquatic PT and Beyond. After surgeries, I was able to return to continue my treatment. The staff is like an extended family for me. I enjoy being a part of this family. I love how everyone works together to ensure that I get the best treatment possible. These therapists are the best! I went to them about 4 years ago when I had a knee replacement (with complications). I had such good results that I went back after a bad fall caused me to have a total hip replacement and repair of my torn abductor muscles. Again, terrific results. I'm now working with them on a painful shoulder affliction (no surgery was involved)and I'm seeing improvement after every visit. This morning I was there to work on my shoulder. Kristi (owner/manager/chief of it all) heard me mention that I had fallen. She reviewed my chart, came and talked to me about what happened, conferred with the therapist I was working with this morning, and developed a plan to address and prevent any more falls. In addition to how great they all are as physical therapists it was so terrific that she took it upon herself to address an "unrelated " health issue. That's going above and beyond. read more

I am a former collegiate athlete and current athlete. I drive over 30 mins to get treated here. I have been treated here on a few occasions for a few different injuries. I have done both the gym and the pool. I worked with Elizabeth and her intern Tallin, who were both amazing. Elizabeth is a former collegiate athlete who was able to treat and push me so that I could continue to compete at a high level. Anytime I needed to cancel, reschedule or schedule my appointment it was never any issues. Christina and Joylin at the front are very personable and greets you with your name. All the therapists are very knowledgeable but of course my favorite is Elizabeth. The owners have a presence in the office as well. They also offer dry needling which was very beneficial for me. I found Aquatics and Beyond when I had my first joint replacement in 2013. They were on a list offered by Duke Orthopedics. I have since had four more sugeries-including 3 more joint replacements and returned to them for each because they did such an impressive job of getting me mobilized. After having a shoulder replacement in Sept., 2018, I can garden and move in any way I want with out shoulder pain-including above my head to stretch and reach items. The PT have given my foot, which was my last surgery, massage theropy on the scar tissue that diminished the protution of the scars making them almost invisable as well as desintegrated the pain. Plus, they have enormously helped my balance and profoundly improoved my ability to climb steps through the water theropy! In short, they have worked wonders and I am thankful I found them! Aquatic Physical Therapy and Beyond was recommended to me in 2005. I have since returned for several different encounters. Each time, I meet the most pleasant and knowledgeable physical therapists and PT assistants. They have worked with me through 2 back surgeries, a total knee replacement, and fractured shoulder. You will meet them in either their therapeutic pool ( 92 degrees, it feels wonderful) or the gym. They teach you how to safely do exercises in the pool, gym and at home to help you improve and meet your goals for health care. The atmosphere is relaxed yet professional making your experience enjoyable as you work hard to become your 100% self. I had a total knee replacement mid January, I started going to another place at first. The other place made me feel very anxious and uneasy. About 6 weeks in, I switched to aquatic physical therapy. When I started there I was a "hot mess" could barely bend my knee to 90, now I have increased my range of motion by 30 points! Also am no longer anxious about my knee. The staff are super kind and caring. They really helped me become more relaxed and focus on breathing. They are creative in finding the right motion for you. They have both private treatment rooms and open spaces. Not only do they do the aquatic side, but also "land" base. They pack a lot into their space. They also help people of all ages with all sorts of injuries. Stop looking for a pt place and call. read more

I am in my early 70's and sought help for leg flexibility and strength issues that were causing discomfort and decreasing my ability to partake in aerobic dance classes. I went from June through August 2025, and saw a vast improvement during that time frame. I have incorporated some of the water and gym exercises into my weekly routines. I have been through PT twice before and inevitably gotten pushed to do something that made things worse. This did not happen at APT&B. Every session began with a touch-base--how are you feeling?, does anything hurt... Still pushed, but appropriately knowing that days "baseline". The staff was awesome and welcoming. Hi, My name is Pat H. I want to tell you about Aquatic Therapy and Beyound. I started seeing them after my low back surgery in 2013. They are the most knowledgeable staff I have ever met. Every therapist and therapist aid are so helpful. I have had 3 more back surgeries and one shoulder surgery. I will not go to any other physical therapy company. I have seen a change in staff and they have only improved their service to patients. They have everything you need to help you improve. The pool is wonderful. They even have a treadmill in the pool. If you are able to stay awhile take advantage of the hot tub. It may seem like I have been there forever but my Dr recommends therapy after all my surgeries and there is nowhere else I would go. This place is absolutely remarkable! The quality of care one receives is unparalleled. The patient is not treated as a project to be completed, but as a human being to be helped. What's truly astounding is that everyone is constantly smiling. Positive encouragement is equally important as the biomechanics when it comes to APT&B. I drove 35 minutes one way just to come and see these wonderful people. They will do everything they can in their power to help you get back on your feet. I have been going to APTB on and off for several years, initially for a back issue and more recently for knee, shoulder and neck issues. I have never had much success with PT for my back over the years. The therapy they provided, especially in the pool, changed my life. I am now able to manage my chronic back pain. So when I had knee surgery recently I chose APTB again and they didn't disappoint. Elizabeth and Kristi took great care of me and although I am headed toward knee replacement, they were able to get me off crutches help me manage the pain and swelling. When I first came to Aquatic Physical Therapy & Beyond, I needed a walker and could do exercises only in the pool. Today, I walk unassisted with an AFO. I still have back pain as a result of my three back operations, but thanks to their therapists I have the flexibility and strength in my legs and back and core to help me cope with it. I remained in my two-story house and go up and down the stairs dozens of times each day. I was so impressed with the friendliness, competence and professionalism of the office and therapeutic staff at APT&B that I went to them for two subsequent referrals. I am only to happy to give Aquatic Physical Therapy & Beyond a 5 star rating. I have suffered with lower back pain ever since I had back surgery in 2003. It has become more intense lately with the addition of sciatic nerve involvement. I have been using one of the bicycles but most of the relief has come from the hands on massage & stimulation. The therapist is so understanding & willing to work with me as is the front desk. I miss them terribly at this time of self isolation due to the corona virus outbreak & am looking forward to the time when this is over & I can get back to benefit from their expertise. I was a rehab nurse for 20 years. After my injury this summer I began traditional rehab therapy. Progress was slow and I then sought out an a aquatic physical therapy facility that could compliment the traditional physical therapy program. Fortunately I found Aqyatic Physical Therapy and Beyond and consulted with their aquatic physical therapist. I only have great things to say about APTB. The therapist are kind and empathetic to every situation. I am limited to only five stars in the YELP site BUT would give this program 100 stars. I began my therapy program weary and weepy! I am approaching discharge from this awesome program with Great success. read more
