We were stuck in traffic on the Bay Bridge on a Thursday around dinner time when my partner mused, "I wonder if there's anywhere to eat on Treasure Island?" Well, friends, the answer is "Yes" and it's delightful. About six minutes off the Bay Bridge is the Aracely Cafe in an unassuming corner of Treasure Island, next to a playground and some shipping containers. There was a lively vibe and a nice breeze. Zero stars due to SCAM pulled by server ALEXCIA R. Overall venue beautiful, food great. However, prepaid for 20 person brunch to include non alcoholic beverages. I asked the server to bring bill for any add'l orders directly to me. She presented me with a bill for $107.80 in non alcoholic beverages including gratuity. I thought it was included but proceeded to pay cash as to not bring attn to the discrepancy to other guests of our party. An hour and half later server presented me with another bill for the add'l 3 brunch guests and all the alcoholic beverages. I paid and included an add'l $150 tip even though gratuity was already included. Later when doing bookkeeping I double checked the paid in advance invoice and saw the non alcoholic was in fact included therefore not sure why she presented me with a bill for them at full bar cost. Reached out to the event coordinator NITA numerous times via email and left voice messages with no response. Continued to follow up and was told they were in between managers but would have someone reach out. Still no response. Followed up yet again and spoke with a woman named LINDA who stated she would look into it and call me back that day. She did not. She instead emailed saying sorry they were busy she would call me back. Never did. The server is a fraudster and pulled an old school present with the bill and see if she notices. If she pays pocket the CASH and void in the register. YOU ARE A THIEF AND EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW IT. What she did was low and pathetic! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VENUE OR THE STAFF!!! After taking the wrong exit and ending up in treasure island, I was a little spooked from how abandoned and rundown the town was. When we stopped by Arecely, it was a pleasant surprise to see a pretty cafe. It had a somewhat fancy yet welcoming atmosphere. It is located right next to a school of some sorts, which is pretty interesting. We got the French toast croissant and the Fish tacos. Service was great. Portion size is slightly small because it seems to brand itself as more of a high end place. But the food is delicious! I loved the French toast and the fish tacos included three small tacos with delicious salmon. Prices aren't too extreme. Found this hidden gem while looking for reasonably priced, yummy food in or close to the city. My family and I were having a day out and this was our first stop! This place is soo cute, the ambiance was perfect and the food was amazing, at decent prices! We sat on their patio, which was filled with various succulent & plant decorations and a couple of fire pits- which made their patio that much more inviting and cozy. Our server was a sweetheart and extremely accommodating! We came around 2:45 so it was perfect timing between their brunch (8am-3pm) and happy hour (3-6pm) menu so naturally we ordered from both. My sister ordered the chilaquiles and pork belly sliders, the hubby ordered the burger and chicken tacos, and I ordered a lettuce wrapped tri tip sandwich and lettuce wrapped pork belly sliders. Awesome little hidden gem. Just found it by accident. Was looking for brunch places to go in San Francisco and remembered Treasure Island. I didn't want to deal with San Francisco parking and the crowds. This was the perfect spot and the weather happened to be incredible today - in the mid 70s which is pretty spectacular for this location in September. They had a good variety of food for brunch (we had the chilaquiles, seared ahi tuna salad, special pumpkin pancakes, and corn chowder with shrimp). They were all pretty delicious. For three of us including one person who had bottomless mimosas ($16), the other two (I was one of those two) had coffee and the total bill was about $80 (I also added eggs and bacon to my order of pancakes for which there was an extra cost of course). It was reasonable especially for such a quaint place AND they had live music (bonus!!). It was a great time. read more

If we didn't have a nursery on Treasure Island, I probably would never have visited this spot. But we do, so I did. Tucked into a corner of Treasure Island at the end of a street, you might miss Aracely Cafe if you aren't careful. When you find it, you will be rewarded with a relaxing ambience and good food. They are fortunate enough to have a sizable courtyard., about 1/3 of it shaded and the rest not. I didn't mind the sunshine, since it was a really nice day. They have a selection of brunch, small plates, large plates and sides. I tried the oysters on the half shell. They were fresh and creamy. The watermelon radish and kimchi gave it just the right hit of spice and texture. Be sure to use the lemon that comes with them. It really adds something to the flavor. The ceviche was also really nice. I could have done without the yam, but the red onion, avocado, and fresh shrimp and fish was pretty delightful. I closed out my meal with the toad in the whole. In my mind, I pictured a petite dish. In reality, it was a large plate of food. the pork belly was pretty succulent and the flavors and texture were nice and balanced. I would definitely have it all again. If I had to change anything, I think I would add a fountain. I think the sound of water would make it even more relaxing. Stumbled upon this cafe while visiting Treasure Fest on Treasure Island in San Francisco. Would have never found the place I we hadn't driven around exploring the island. Cafe has a nice outdoor seating area and inside was small yet had an elegant feel to it. Staff was attentive, friendly, and took the time to answer questions about menu items for us first timers. We ordered the Posole, Empanada, Bacon & Chive Waffle, and Bison Burger. Posole was good but lacked seasoning so salt and pepper was added at the table. It was a good size bowl and chicken was tender. Empanada was flaky with a savory filling. I'd definitely buy this again. Bacon & Chive Waffles were very dry so ask for syrup because you may have to pour it on to add some moisture to them. The meat served as a side on the waffle plate was delicious and melts in your mouth. That was the best part of this plate. Bison burger was perfectly cooked and was accompanied by a salad with light dressing. We ordered the Bellini. I wasn't very fond of it but my friend loved it so it's hit or miss depending on what kind of alcoholic beverage you like. Definitely check this cafe out. read more

The food was a solid five stars, but the subpar service took one star away. Let's start with the good parts. This venue is gorgeous. Perfect for a private event, intimate Sunday brunch, or casually hanging out with a group of friends. There is plenty of outdoor seating on lounge furniture, as well as some indoor seating. My friends and I chose to sit outdoors, which was a good choice on a sunny Sunday afternoon on Treasure Island. I can never resist the option of Eggs Benedict on a breakfast menu, especially when it has pork belly in it. Whose idea was that? Genius. Would definitely recommend that dish. I also had their Bloody Mary which was also good. Too much ice but still good. Their whole menu sounds tasty, and I would come here again to try their salads and omelettes. Now for the clueless waiter that was serving us. Poor guy seemed like he was running the entire outdoor section, so it took us forever to order food and receive it. I even had to hunt him down to pay the bill because he disappeared for a long time. We were probably better off sitting inside the cafe because they seem more attentive to those guests. I would absolutely recommend Aracely Cafe for your wedding reception. My husband and I knew this place was special when we first did a tour with Linda. I loved that it had both indoor and outdoor spaces, great food, and a friendly staff. We booked it right away as we could see it was popular with other couples touring. Linda was great to work with, answering our questions and helping us plan 1 year in advance. When it came closer to day of, my husband and I did a tasting. The tasting was so fun and we got to try all the great food and, yet again, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. We opted to have Aracely help with flowers and coordination and I'm so glad we chose to do so. I essentially gave my Pinterest board with inspiration and Linda and team absolutely NAILED it. One thing to note is Aracely's location is a bit random in the back of Treasure Island and there is a lot of construction leading to it. We ended up giving instructions to the shuttles to go around the island vs through construction and guests didn't even notice this small detail. Overall, guests raved about the wedding reception: a hidden gem on Treasure Island, a lovely outdoor cocktail hour in a garden, fantastic food and drinks, and a beautiful dinner and dancing space. I especially loved how intimate the space was as guests were able to come together and eat together family style on long beautiful tables. After dinner, we had a great time dancing and served a pie bar provided by Aracely Cafe. Linda and her team even helped us set up a piñata which was a crowd favorite. If you're looking for a spot with great food and a whimsical feel (regardless if it's for a wedding or just brunch) Aracely Cafe is the place to go! read more

Aracely just re-opened for dine-in, socially distanced, outdoor service so my husband and I went by for a drink this afternoon to check it out and had a great time! The patio is super cute and has plenty of room for people to spread out (we were the only ones there this afternoon so it was easy for us :), service was awesome and the drinks were cool and refreshing. we didn't eat but the menu looked yum. if you're looking for a small bit of normal on a sunny afternoon but aren't sure where to go in the bay, i def suggest checking Aracely out! read more

I wanted to love this place because of its great reviews but the food was just okay and the service was awful. My party of 6 made an 11:30am reservation for Father's Day. Surprisingly, it wasn't busy, but despite that, I had to ask the host to send over a server after being seated for almost 20 minutes without one coming to our table. The cocktails we ordered were delicious, as was the savory scone. However, the main meals we had all lacked salt. We asked for condiments a few times and never received them. Whenever we needed something we had to retrieve it ourselves. On top of that, 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill. I'd say come for the views that Treasure Island has to offer, but don't make the trek for Aracely. read more

Came here on our way to the Eastbay and were instantly blown away by this place! First off, coming from downtown San Francisco, Treasure Island is so quaint and quiet - it's a breath of fresh air coming from the city. Also, it's just a 20 minute drive from SF with minimal traffic! It was a warm, sunny day so we sat outside with our dog. The outside decor is really nice! They have plenty of planter boxes around, a firepit and lots of seating! The food here was fantastic! We ordered the eggs in a hole, tres leches pancakes, and the two egg combo. The portions were generous as well! The drinks were okay, however, my girlfriend actually turned back her initial drink order for a mimosa because it just didn't taste that great. However, the server took off that drink from the menu and her second mimosa even - so the customer service here is superb. Would highly recommend checking this place out! read more

The place is a BEAUTIFUL wedding venue. I LOVE non traditional wedding venues. Aracely Cafe caught us off guard because it looks like it use to be a old elementary school. The dance floor of the reception was in the court yard of what use to be the school. However, it is now decked out with chiffon and clear tarp so you can dance with your sweetheart under the stars. Also, our friends got amazing photos with the backdrop of San Francisco in the background! The food was too bad either! One flaw is someone in the bridal party got their car broken into outside so I am not sure how safe it is at night. read more

This is probably one of the classiest place where I have ever had brunch. Parking is available on the side streets. The restaurant has an inside area, but you want to hit the baller patio and enjoy that California sun. Great furniture, and beautiful layout. For brunch, they have $13 bottomless mimosas. I don't know how many glasses of this I had. All I know is that I could barely walk on the way out. And did I mention these are insanely good? I had the pulled pork tacos. It was served with a poached egg, and freshly-sliced avocado. Really delicious, though I made a huge mess trying to finish the thing. Just thinking of the food makes me drool. Service was a bit lacking (we ended up having to serve our own refills several times, hence the 4 stars instead of 5), but the food is quite amazing. What a gem!!!!! Who knew there was this little piece of heaven hidden in all the construction on Treasure Island. It had beautiful seating areas both indoor and outdoor. While our drinks were fairly basic, we noticed some pretty gorgeous drinks being served at the other tables. The food was delicious. I wish I had ordered the yellow tail salad and I almost stayed and ordered just because it looked so fabulous. I love how the staff worked as a team so they both checked on us and made conversation. Can't believe I just learned about this spot! Super cute and great food!! Went on a Saturday afternoon before the Treasure Island Flea market and didn't wait. Sat outside on the patio which is covered in succulents and trendy decor. Was very sunny and hot but the umbrellas provided ample shade. Service was great and staff are friendly. Super easy parking too. I ordered the chilaquiles and LOVED them! Sauce was great and eggs were cooked perfectly. I enjoy their brunches and love their fresh juices and rotating brunch menu. It's always fun sitting outside when it's a gorgeous SF day. This is mainly a review for Aracely as a wedding venue. We got married at a chapel in the city but had our wedding reception at Aracely on September 2017. We found them through Yelp and loved that we could have a San Francisco venue with more affordable prices. We initially met with Kimberly who gave us a tour and walked us through the venue and answered all of our questions. Once we started to sign contracts and put the details together, our main point of contact was Linda. She and I communicated mainly through email and she typically responded within a few days. We weren't ever shown potential layouts, photos of past events, options or suggestions... It felt like a blank slate at times which was both good and bad. We visited the venue a few times on our own during brunch to scope out where we wanted things, but we didn't really get much help from her team on that. As far as logistics, I appreciate how flexible they were on the days leading up to and after the even. We were able to drop off items a few days in advance and pick them up the day after the wedding too. This helped tremendously because we didn't feel rushed before or after the event. Everything came together perfectly on the day of the wedding. They worked with our day-of coordinator seamlessly and we got to use the bridal room to have a moment to ourselves before the party began. The venue looked gorgeous - like a courtyard/garden wedding in San Francisco's backyard. When we saw it for the first time, we couldn't help but stare in awe. We had cocktail hour in the garden area so it allowed people to flow in and out of the bar easily. We had a set drink menu and they had all the drinks made, lined up, and ready to grab at the bar for everyone to take. No waiting for drinks was a plus for our guests! The indoor bar area served as more mingling room and a space for our enclosed photo booth. It was a nice option for people who wanted to come inside when the wind picked up. The main reception was held in the courtyard. We opted for the clear tent and lights. It's absolutely worth it. It felt so dreamy. They had clear vinyl curtains surrounding the courtyard and the heat lamps were on above the tables so it never got too cold during the reception even though it was starting to cool in the city mid September. The food was delicious and everyone kept raving to us about it afterwards - our photographer said it was one of the best meals she had at a wedding she worked on. They even set out our own meals at the sweetheart table as soon as dinner was served which was a lifesaver. Aracely will always hold a special place in our hearts. Salmon is not proper salmon but packaged Lox!!, not what I was expecting or paying for. Poached egg size of a quail egg. High price, small portions (I left not satisfied) and not the best food. Aracely is a place I'd consider a hidden local gem of SF, as it's located all the way out on Treasure Island (a gem on Treasure Island, go figure huehuehue). If you're looking for a special place to go for brunch that's also not a far walk from a killer view of SF, definitely don't sleep on Aracely! I showed up without a reservation mid-day in time for brunch with a friend. Though we did stand kinda awkwardly in the front for a little bit, the servers did seat us quickly once noticing us, and service was prompt, so no complaints there. Cornmeal Waffles with Brandied Apple, Vanilla custard, & Pecans ($9) - Pleasantly surprised by these waffles, and I really enjoyed the texture of these as well. Unlike most waffles which are kinda fluffy and soft, these have more of a cornbread/slightly grittier texture which was different from any waffle I've ever tried. The brandied apple and the vanilla custard also paired nicely, and were both sweet without being completely being overdone. A definite, unique recommend and I'd get these again! Egg Scramble with Sweet Potato Hash & Spinich, Grilled Nopales, & Guacamole ($11) - This kind of fell flat of my expectations, and though it was decent I don't think I'll be ordering this again. The egg scramble itself was okay but wasn't as impressive as the waffles mentioned prior. The sweet potato hash was a little too mushy for my liking and kind of reminded me of the consistancy of chunky baby food. I didn't really see a lot of the grilled nopales mentioned, but the spinach and Guacamole were also okay. Overall the dish for me was a meh and didn't really wow me. Interior of Aracely is more of a casual, modern, woodsy feel to it. The interior and exterior also have hung up lights around it, which gives it a very comforting, homely vibe. I could also see Aracely as a good place to rent out to larger parties for special gatherings, as they also have a huge extended area in the back too. Aracely is also not a far walk from the scenic side of Treasure Island. It was probably a 5-10 minute walk from Aracely itself, but a nice walk straight to the gorgeous views after a nice brunch. Overall, Aracely is a lovely place to go on a nice brunch, and then have a nice stroll down the side of Treasure Island afterwards. I'd have to put it at a lower 4, as although it won't be topping my favorites for brunch, the whole ambiance of Aracely together ties nicely. A definite recommend for a beautiful brunch! read more
