I enjoyed my aperol spritz and the hamachi crudo served in spoons. The mushroom cheesecake was also an interesting bite with a ton of flavor (reminded me of a mushroom pate)! For our entrees we had a choice of a mushroom pasta, salmon, or short rib. I got the short rib and it was so tender and flavorful with a nice sweet and salty balsamic glaze. I enjoyed the spaetzle and roasted veggies as well. Dessert was a plate of brownie slices, macarons and fruit. I started with the: Grilled Eggplant and Sunchoke Bisque which had Local asparagus, candied fennel, shiso. Super good! Super creamy! Wish I had more. Then choose the Oakwood Roasted Salmon with Lobster-crushed Yukon Gold potatoes, spiced heirloom pepper broth as my entree. One of my favorite dishes of 2025 if we're being honest. I attempted to make a group reservation for a corporate dinner of 35 people in April and, unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing. Beginning February 15, I submitted a request through the group events portal, sent a direct email to the events coordinator (Gracen), and called the restaurant three separate times. After multiple attempts, I finally reached someone by phone who was short, dismissive, and seemed inconvenienced by my inquiry. I was told my information would be passed along, but I never received a follow-up. For corporate event planning, responsiveness and professionalism are critical. With so many restaurant options in the city, it's difficult to justify pursuing a venue that is this challenging to communicate with. I hope ownership takes a closer look at their event inquiry process, as there is significant lost opportunity when potential clients are unable to get basic follow-up. read more

Since it was a lovely day in SF - blue skies and mild weather - my friends and I decided it was a prime opportunity to go to a rooftop bar. While there is no shortage of rooftop bars in SF, especially near the waterfront, we opted for Rooftop 25 (25 Lusk's rooftop bar) because we were looking for a sophisticated yet relaxed place to grab drinks. The beverage menu offers a range of cocktails, wine, and beer, and I ordered the spicy passionfruit margarita, which sounded refreshing and unique. I was not disappointed, as the margarita struck the perfect balance between sweet and spicy. We also ordered some apps to pair with our drinks: the sharp cheddar and jalapeño biscuits with honey butter and pepper jelly were tasty, and the grilled shrimp skewers were incredibly succulent (although a bit difficult to eat cleanly). The overall experience was good - while the rooftop views are better at other venues, the unpretentious ambiance and lush greenery provided a welcoming atmosphere to catch up with friends. Despite the fact that 25 Lusk has no stars, their food is very impressive. I'd venture to say they do their dishes better than the likes of Michelin-rated establishments. And, when taking 25 Lusks's prices into consideration, they're simply unbeatable. Every course was packed with intense flavor! My personal favorite was something that wasn't even listed on the menu: the truffle cheesecake. I'm not a big fan of truffle, but I appreciated the intensity of the truffle combined with the saltiness of the cheese. I like how you can come up without a walk in. They told me I can either choose a small two top or by the view. I choose the high chairs by the view. This spot you gotta get up and walk to the counter to order a drink or food. I left my tab open just in case I wanted to order more for the night. Important: They don't take Amex or Apple Pay so make sure your bring your visa or MasterCard. I'm questioning why I even got an Amex card now since there are many places that don't even take the card. The service and front, I believe "Chad" was his name, was friendly. This place is open for outdoor dining, and they have a really nice balcony area with lots of space for people to sit at! They enforce mask wearing and social distancing here, with the waiters taking necessary precautions. It's one of the more stylish outdoor seating areas that I've seen in SF, and the view from the balcony area is great! It didn't take us that long to get seated during the times we went here. For the food we got the Ahi Tuna Tartare, the Margherita Pizza, and Oysters, which were all really delicious! The ingredients they use here are high quality, and the presentation of the dishes is really nice as well! The Tuna Tartare and Oysters seemed to be very fresh, while the Margherita Pizza was really flavorful. I also got one of their mojito drinks, which kind of like a slushie but still was a good drink to have! This is my absolute favorite restaurant in San Francisco. Chef Dolan is a master at his craft. The food is not only stunning, but delicious. Locally and fairly sourced, the quality of each dish is unbelievable and clearly made with love. We were drawn to the restaurant after seeing Chef Dolan battle Bobby Flay a few month back on TV. We were so pleased with our experience. Whether you're looking for more casual dining (rooftop), or a more fine dining experience (the downstairs restaurant) Lusk will not disappoint. Cocktails are nothing short of Wow, the wine selection is on point and chosen to pair well with seasonal dishes. The staff is also great and always efficient, happy and polite, they truly care about your experience. They are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. The service is unmatched, they made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. We are so happy that the indoor dining has opened back up, the ambiance inside is ideal for those who want a romantic night out, but also has plenty of room for larger groups to unwind and enjoy great food. Recommend dishes: The braised beef short rib is absolutely amazing, it melted in our mouths. The braising liquid is nothing short of magic. The cauliflower creme brûlée; you just have to try it. The initial entryway is a bit confusing and blends into the wall-- after which you'll traipse up some steep stairs to get to the actual seating area. There is table service, but orders are placed individually at the register which can be a bit clunky. Our servers were very attentive and courteous, quick to clear plates and fill water. This is a looooong (each o represents a year) overdue review, but 25 Lusk has always held a special place in my heart. Despite abundant dining options in our foodie city, I had a surprisingly difficult time finding a venue to host a small special occasions dinner. With the budget I had, I knew it was a moonshot trying to find place that would cater to my very customized-menu requests and serve us without risking food poisoning in some Craigslist stranger's garage... until I heard back the good news from 25 Lusk that their chef was willing to accommodate. The resulting dinner could not have been more perfect, as we sat in their elegant space, and treated to a thoughtfully-curated tasting menu of 8-courses, where each course was customized to focus on an ingredient I requested from the chef. As our dinner service came to an end and our vision began to blur from the filling and spectacular meal, Chef Matthew himself came from behind the kitchen to greet us, before riding away on his bike like a G and leaving us with lasting fond memories of the evening. Since then, I've continued recommending 25L to friends for various occasions, and have been back a few times for larger gatherings at the venue. Our dinner her was sorely disappointing and way overpriced. Twenty Five Lusk has gone downhill since I was here 6 years ago! RESERVATIONS: Made same day for a Monday night at 6:15pm for two. Plenty of openings online. THE SERVICE: Weirdly, they only brought the prix-fixe menu to our table. We only had an hour to eat and hadn't realized they only served prix-fixe at dinner, and only then did they say we could order a la carte. It seems deceptive; we thought prix-fixe was the only option and wouldn't have known to ask otherwise. My server recommended the Heirloom Tomato Salad, but when I ordered the Pork Chop to go with this, she didn't mention that the Pork Chop's side salad is exactly the same thing (albeit a cheaper version with pretzel pieces rather than crouton. We noticed that Pretzel Bites were also on the menu - it's like they are are just repurposing the leftovers of different dishes). When I mentioned this to our server, she said she didn't notice the salads were the same (which is ridiculous), but apologized. Lastly, my pork chop was very pink. But we were in a rush and didn't have time to complain (see my photo). Besides this, the service was professional and prompt. THE COST: $156.42 for dinner for two (2 starters, 2 entrees, 2 drinks). Way overpriced. THE FOOD: Nothing, I'd say. The best item was the free bread (glorified Hawaiian bread), 4 stars. After that, the Duck Confit at 3 stars. Came here for the Game of Thrones pop up running from April to May 2019. The bar opens at 5. Expecting a long line on a Friday evening, I arrived around 4:45 to line up and grabbed a table once they opened at 5. It's a decent sized space with plenty of of high top seating. First thing you noticed when walking in is that the decorations are on point. Not only was there was an Iron Throne people could take pictures in, but there was also a large dragon! Food and drinks were on the pricey side. I'm not sure if that's the case normally here or if they were charging more due to the GoT pop up experience. Got the Night King cocktail ($17), which looked very interesting as it had his face on it. Taste was okay but I preferred this to the Giant's Milk cocktail my friend ordered, which was a little more bitter. We didn't order the dragon egg shots as they were pretty pricy, but I noticed every other table had it, so it must be a popular item to get here. We stayed until 7 or so and it never got noticeably crowded, though some people were standing at the bar area when we left. read more

Over 100 guests joined us for cocktails, networking, and canapes under the evening sky. In addition to open bar with their well-designed cocktail menu, we had an array of appetizers to satisfy a range of palates and meal preferences, from fresh vegetable spring rolls to roasted brochettes (mushrooms, prawns, chicken, or NY Strip), to Beeler's Ranch pork meatballs and their local caviar canape, a crowd favorite - plus local cheese and charcuterie boards and a splendid dessert assortment of all kinds of petit fours, bonbons and treats. Kudos to Grayson, the Events Director: working with him was such a breeze! He is the consummate professional and made it all so easy, end to end. From our first call to menu finalizing and contracting to close out, he was so friendly, helpful, and efficient with every step of the process. Thank you, Grayson for the excellent customer service! I used to visit 25 Lusk when it first opened since it was around the corner from where I worked. My first time here. Did not have dinner. I was looking forward to hanging out on the rooftop but upon entering we were advised that the rooftop was closed for a private event. Wompers Game of thrones decor gone (double wompers) I assumed it would still be up but I guess since the show is over they decided to take it all down. So we sat at the bar. Bartender was very friendly and attentive. Bar itself was very clean and well stocked. I ordered a SF Yatch it was very refreshing and smooth Parking is horrible. Venue is located down a dead in street. Parking lot next to the venue is a private parking lot and it is very deceiving because of course you assume you can park there but you cant. I will definitely try this place again, maybe next time we can make it to the rooftop read more

We sat in their lounge area, atmosphere deserves a star. I'm not sure why 90 R&B was playing when the experience they describe online doesn't match. Cocktails and food weren't anything special. From what we thought this experience was going to be, it was completely different. Fruit Stand Margarita + tropical non-alcoholic Aqua Fresca was extremely bland. No flavor, tasted like watered down cocktails. Where the Maguey grows was good and simple. The Churros were the highlight. Other eats were ordered but extremely bland and dry, needs salt. Been here once before, loved the decor. This time I came for restaurant week. Let me just start by saying the meal was very good. Rabbit pasta was flavorful and slightly vinegary, which made it less heavy and I really love that. I wish there was more rabbit and less pasta though haha. Arctic Char was amazing. It's kind of like salmon but better, I think the texture is more tender and fine. The skin was delightfully crispy. I loved how much veggie there was, mushroom and I wanna say potato/cauliflower? Well done. The lemon posset was the highlight of meal. It's very very creamy but is balanced with the lemony flavor and the iced kiwi. It's perfectly paired and turns out to be very refreshing actually. Taking off 1 star because of their weird tip calculation - I came with a friend so we split the bill, on each check, the suggested tip amount was calculated based on the entire bill, not half. I think that's quite misleading - considering how many people just copy the number that's suggested without calculating themselves. read more

For our holiday party, the restaurant was closed for our company private event. I was actually excited to attend after seeing off the menu here on Yelp. However, the Three Course Prix Fixe dinner was somewhat different from what's on the regular menu. The only item that I could find on the same menu was their Sampling of Small Desserts. I think it's a combination of all their desserts so I highly recommend you get this one instead to get a taste of everything (for the sweet tooth out there). I enjoyed the burst of flavors from the pomegranate seeds, angel cake, tarty sorbet, cheesecake and the coffee sauce underneath the brownie. The other dish that WOW-ed me was their Organic Cauliflower cheddar fondue and truffle served as a side. It complemented the main entree that I had which was the Wild King Salmon. Also, I'm not a huge fan of arugula and especially beets, but the Wild Arugula salad with baby beets, potatoes and avocado vinaigrette was hands down bomb. I came a bit late to our party so I wasn't really able to see the 3 floors in its entirety but they have a rooftop decked out with all the Christmas decors. With fresh arugula that offset the flavor and portions were small but hearty. Course II. I had the quail dish. It was cooked properly but the juices of the quality did not taste very fresh. It almost tasted like frozen quail. It brought two hens on a pancake (their version of chicken and waffles) Course Iii. Great spot! We came around 2pm. The door was open and said welcome. We walked up 50 steps! Yes 50 but the view was great. Once you arrive to the top you give your order and pay or you could keep an open tab. We sat outside on the rooftop. There was some shade but we had a sunglasses. The food was good. I order salmon with arugula and avocado hummus. My friend order octopus tacos with homemade chips. The food came out quickly and was tasty. The drinks were refreshing. The service was very friendly. Not too crowded and was very clean. We found street parking. Would like to come back again maybe in the evening. They are able to have big parties. Very disappointing!! Came here 2 weeks ago to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was four of us. We opted to eat downstairs at the restaurant instead of the rooftop. My friends boyfriend recommending a fish entree that was on the menu. A couple of us were looking forward to this fish. Well, to our surprise they no longer offer the fish. Nor to they offer the Tomahawk, which was about $90. What a ripoff, if you ask me. FYI, they don't offer any meal/entree options. Everything on the menu was small shareable plates and very pricey. And, I do mean SMALL. In my opinion the portions are not shearable. We came with an appetite and left with our appetite. The food was good but so small which was very disappointing. This was extra DISAPPOINTING!! Make sure when you order a cocktail, ask if every ingredient and garnish in the cocktail doesn't have an extra charge/fee. Two of us ordered dirty martinis and we were charged $4. dollars for the vermouth and olives in the drink and the waiter didn't even mention it. Exactly!! What the hell right!! This was the last straw. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. Lastly, good luck finding parking. We drove around for about 30 minutes. What a waste of an evening. Save your money and time. There are many of wonderful restaurants in the city but it ended up a catastrophe for us. If, and that's a big IF we decide to go again we will stay at the rooftop portion of the building. I met a few friends here for the Game of Thrones pop-up bar back on 5/17/19 before the series finale. I'm pretty sure the pop-up would be gone by the time I'm posting this review up. Anyways, I arrived shortly after 5pm and there was a line outside to go in. I waited maybe ten minutes before we were allowed downstairs. Once inside, there was a cool vibe to the place and the throne was the main attraction. The waitress we had was very nice and friendly. The drinks all sounded good and I had the Dracarys and tasted some of the Red Wedding. The Dracarys was tasty and the Red Wedding was not bad. The other drinks sounded good to me as well but I didn't try them. There was always a line for the throne and there was only so many pictures one could take of the throne or sitting on the throne. There were other things like the dragon without its scales, the ice wall, Arya's dagger, and the drinks that could have pictures taken of as well. I thought the GoT pop-up was good and I would have recommended it if you're a GoT fan, but I'm pretty sure the pop-up is gone now. read more

Been here on different occasions, either company event or group dinners. I think their drink options are solids and their food is good too. It can get a little cold out here after the sun sets and their heat lamps aren't great, so bring an extra jacket. Not a 4/5 star restaurants because all the food that came out was cold, the had heaters, but for some reason, they didn't use it. read more
