I first heard about Aranda's after my husband came home raving about this Mexican restaurant bringing me home a to go order of their rib eye and shrimp after a friend recommended this place to him. The ribeye was mouthwateringly delicious, perfectly cooked, juicy, well seasoned, and full of flavor! The grilled shrimp had the most incredible seasoning and grilled to perfection! My husband kept on talking about Aranda's nonstop so we went and dined in person at Aranda's in Deforest, WI! When we first walked in, I loved the bright colored festive walls, showcasing beautiful Mexican art/heritage and a mini festive bar with my favorite: a great tequila selection for all the tequila fans!!! The place was super packed for a weeknight/Wednesday evening! We were greeted with delicious complimentary tortilla chips and salsa which started our night off right! Aranda's has a large Tex Mex menu with a variety of authentic traditional Mexican menu items as well as a few more Americanized take on popular Mexican dishes! They offer many delicious menu items everything from nachos, street tacos, fajitas, chimichangas, ribeye steaks, hamburgers, seafood options, a kid's menu, and much more! Plus, they even have churros and fried ice cream if you have a sweet tooth! Aranda's has the best margaritas when you are a craving a delicious drink! They even have a great selection of top shelf superior tequila. Be aware the margaritas are pretty huge and the large size is actually humongous! I really enjoyed my spicy jalepeno maragita! My husband ordered the ribeye steak and shrimp that comes with a side of delicious cheese sauce and fries while I ordered the Aranda's special which is the ribeye with shrimp, topped with an onion blossom, grilled shrimp, and pico de gallo. My husband and I had so much fun dining at Aranda's. Everything we ordered was very delicious! We also received great service! Aranda's is a great place to visit if you are looking for satisfying margaritas, delicious Mexican food, fun/festive vibes, in a casual dining setting that is a fun place to dine with friends, family, and even fun for the kids! Hooray! I finally made it in for food instead of just coming to drink their delicious margaritas. I did of course get a margarita as well. The margaritas no longer have the wild electric green color to them, but they are more the green you'd expect from a margarita. And still yummy. I ordered tacos and they were lovely. I like simple tacos with a corn tortilla, meat, onion, and cilantro. These tacos did not disappoint. I will definitely try to make it back soon! read more

It's a great local find with a huge menu! Kiddos and I settled in after the farmers market and double-checked that we had access to ice cream later. Food as expected, traditional americanized fare but with a few original house specials. Service was very quick (we were rather early as we had a light lunch) knowledgeable and friendly. Ambiance was perfect from the music to decor to tvs showing Copa. One star hit as bar is mostly a spot for staff to recharge and not really a place you would hang with friends. We stopped in for our anniversary lunch and we were absolutely delighted with our food and the service. We ordered a Tolteca to share and it is deceivingly larger than it looks. We left full and with a to-go box. I highly recommend this place as a great place for a reasonably priced lunch. The margaritas were a bit green and sweet but strong enough. The steak was prepared perfectly and the food was delicious. The staff were perfectly attentive, not too much not too little. It was a holiday and the place was very busy so the fact that they did everything right is a plus. The atmosphere and decor were lovely. Not sure if it's going to be a 'go-to' place yet since the margarita prices were pretty steep but all in all the place was good. No reason to give less than 5 stars. read more

I would give this a 3.5/5. For it being not far for where I live, this place tends to be my go to for Mexican food. Salsa is on the runnier side if you're looking for chunky. If I don't end up eating it with the chips, I found out it goes great for a southwest-style eggs Their rice is always phenomenal. Great flavor. SOMETIMES, their beans can be over salted... but when they aren't, THEY'RE AMAZING! Maybe my favorite around the area. If they are over salted, I find them to be better suited as a bean dip with the chips included. Tacos could use a bit of flavor, but their spicy sauce is a great addition. Once in awhile I end up getting flour tortillas for takeout so I always make sure to ask for corn. read more

We've just moved into the area, and Aranda's was recommended to us by a few people. We've been there 4 times so far and have tried different meals each time. Everything that we've tried has consistently been anywhere from good to extremely good. The service has also been great. Now this was a surprise find. Out and about for a basketball game, and we needed to eat before heading back home. Our party of 8 had to wait only for about 15 min on a Friday night. Food service is fast, and it is good. The salsa and chips for the table were the first thing that made me stand up and take notice - the salsa tasted fresh and reminds you of summer, and the chips were perfectly salted. I wish I had ordered guacamole but went with queso and this wasn't a mistake - the queso was tasty. I just wish I would've tried the guac too! The Texas margarita (size small, which was a decent size) tasted authentic and wasn't overly sweet or cloying. He ordered carnitas and his plate was delivered with huge tender chunks of pork. The pork tacos were delicious as were the standard ground beef tacos. I so wish this place was closer to home but hopefully my travels bring me to Deforest again soon! The service was friendly and deserves your business. With that huge of a menu you are guaranteed to find something you will love. read more

I'm relatively new to Sun Prairie and haven't been impressed with the Mexican food places that I've tried. Made the trip to Arandas and I'll be back. Three of us ordered food to go and it was ready when I arrived. All of our meals were exactly what we expected, the rice and beans on the side had good flavor. We Celebrate our anniversary here last night seeing it has a lot of good review. The food was okay nothing great! Beside them messing up my husband order putting shrimps and has no cactus ( Tolteca Molacjete)I I think they gave him the wrong order. I had the Aranda special nothing special about it. It did look good I didn't care for the melted cheese on my steak it made it soggy and my steak had a lot of grizzle. The chips was good and the salsa. My family started a tradition of a weekly family dinner just to hangout and talk. Initially we moved to a different restaurant once a week. After a couple visits to Aranda's it is now our weekly stop. The food is great tasting and plentiful. We are always taking doggy bags. What is amazing is how fast the service is. Update: 10/13/17 - we haven't been here for a while but they have expanded! More seating means less waiting!!! It looks great inside with new furniture and a lot more seating. Wow... incredible food. The chips and salsa were pretty average but they give you A LOT! When we arrived, we were the second to be seated. We waited a while to get water and for the waitress to take out order. They were completely packed. A sign of a good restaurant. My boyfriend ordered the chimichangas which he enjoyed. I asked for a recommendation between the Enchiladas Lemon Lime and the Enchiladas Verdes. Our waitress recommended the Enchiladas Lemon Lime saying the drilled chicken is really good. After ordering, the food came pretty quickly. And boy was she right! The grilled chicken was tender and juicy and had a great flavor. There was also a cheese sauce on top of the enchiladas which was AMAZING! So amazing that it's making me drool just thinking about it. With a name that includes lemon and lime, the dish was not sour. My boyfriend ended up finishing my dish. Unfortunately for me, my tummy isn't a huge fan of cream. I ate a wee too many bites of the oh-so-yummy, creamy dish. When the waitress came back asking how things were, she mentioned I could get the enchiladas with the cream sauce on the side. She also brought me a to go menu and suggested trying the Swiss Enchiladas without the Swiss cheese. It's definitely piqued my interest. We will definitely be going back!
