Ok we love 2 hours north and will be coming back just to eat AUTHENTIC Hispanic food! Omg let me tell you about the chicken gorditas are literally to die for!!! My husband had 3 soft corn tortilla tacos with pork and he absolutely loved them and wanted to come back for more later that night. On top of the food they waitress was just amazing. Constantly working and moving and cleaning to stay busy. My husband and I are the people to clean up after our children. My daughter had made a rice mess on the bottom of her High chair and she refused to let us sweep it up. This place is all around great! Only tip I can give is more bathrooms!! :) read more

The queso is goooood. (Cost extra) The rest of the food was pretty bland compared to other taquerias I've been to. Also slightly higher priced with smaller portions. The masa dough used to make the huarache I ordered tasted like cheap yellow corn tortillas from the grocery store. And it was about half the size as other places. My husband picked it up and said as he was leaving the manager snatched the bag from him and tore it open bc they apparently had put part of someone else's order in our bag. Mind you we are from out of town , and we try to always get some food from a taqueria wherever we are so this was the most hole in the wall taco place I found in the area of Branson we were in. read more

This is not a fancy place but it is definitely good. I wasn't able to find my usual favorites. There wasn't a huge selection but there is a salsa bar with loads of options. I like a good, fresh salsa. I had the carne asada tacos and it was plenty to save for my lunch the next day. My husband had the gorditas and also really liked it. The kids menu is very affordable. My son had the tamales and didn't love them because he said they were a bit dry. I'd recommend this place. read more

READ REVIEWS BEFORE GOING. This was are first time coming here and it will be are last. We were excited to come and try the food, we came in and they seated us and that was it. We waited for 15 minutes with all three waitress passing by and looking at us with non coming to take are drinks or orders. Had other group come in after us and the immediately got severed. When we finally decided to leave I told one of the lady that we were leaving because know one came to are table, she looked at me and back to the other lady with a confused look. This place is absolutely authentic Mexican. The service was friendly and the table was clean. It's not fancy by any means but when they say certain products are "homemade", they mean it. Good Authentic Mexican food. The restaurant isn't fancy however it served its purpose. Be sure to ask for descriptions of items if you are not sure what you're ordering. My husband ordered the seasoned beef tacos expecting them to be ground beef like many non-authentic restaurants. However they were actually made from parts of cow head. So shocker there. We found Aranadas on Yelp as an easy dinner on the way back to hotel after a long day at the ballpark. Being from Texas, we are accustomed to good Mexican food, some tex-mex and spicy tastes. Arandas did not disappoint. While chips & salsa must be ordered, not simply given to the table like everywhere in Texas, the chips were hot and good. The Salsa bar is full of homemade salsas with varying temperatures. The Habanero was my personal favorite! My family ordered a variety of items including enchiladas, taco salad and nachos. We all loved our food! Arandas is more authentic type Mexican food with good flavors. It is a no -nonsense hole in the wall type restaurant; nothing fancy, but our service was great and the food really good! read more

This is a very small place with limited seating. After walking the town we were hot and ready for some a/c. Unfortunately it was very hot inside. The staff was very friendly and the food was good. Chicken taco salad had shredded chicken and it had some spice to it. The queso was a little spicy too. The beef chimichanga was on par very flavorful and had queso on top. The chicken quesadilla was delicious too. The chips served before the meal are not traditional they were the waxy pinweel chips. They have a TV and it was playing a soccer game the day were there. They are located in walking distance to ride the ducks or shopping. Great place to stop for a bite. read more

I was reluctant to try Mexican food in Branson, since I am so spoiled with authentic Mexican in the San Joaquin Valley, but we decided to give it a try anyway. So glad we did! Very fresh and tasty, and quite authentic too. Good service and reasonable prices too. I tried the Tacos; beef, chicken and Al Carbon. All were delicious and well seasoned. Arandas tacos is a Mexican restaurant located on one of the most 'touristy' streets in Branson. The ambience is okay and the restaurant has very limited seating. They serve great food though. I went here with my family and we ordered a vegetarian fajita, a chicken huarache and a chicken burrito. The fajita and the huarache were pretty good. The refried beans served with both these dishes were especially good. The burrito was okay (the filling tasted almost identical to the huarache filling). And finally, they have some delicious flan. The waitress forgot our final order in the end so I would recommend double checking if your food is taking way too long since this is a very busy place. Authentic Mexican food. You know it's seriously good Mexican food when it's filled with Hispanics, including me, on Easter Sunday. We ate here two days in a row. My husband had: tamales (pork) on day one; on day two, fajitas Jalisco (carne asada chicken, roasted peppers, homemade tortillas, and horchata. I had: tacos pastores (pork) on day one with a margarita and menudo on day two, homemade tortillas and horchata. Homemade chicharones is served as an appetizer for free. Menudo is served on Sundays only, and that alone is worth a trip. The tripas are the perfect texture. I love that there are tiny bites of potato in the soup. The chicken asado for the fajitas is very flavorful. (We did not use the salsa bar -- we found the food flavorful on its own.) The service is very friendly and welcoming. The environment is clean. (I did not use the restroom facility.) Why not five stars: The tamales are not large/typical sized tamales (according to my husband). There's a shawarma sign on all marketing (this cracks me up, actually). And, there's ALWAYS room for improvement, right? =) Bonuses: There is a large flat screen television that plays Univision/soccer. There is a salsa bar. They serve beer, and Happy Hour is Monday-Friday from 2-4pm. There is a small outdoor patio, which is great for dog owners and/or great weather. Free Wifi. They have nice window bar seating. This is a great place for working people, singles, couples, and families. Prices are appropriate/fair. read more

The service was good, seemed to be family owned. The food quality is what impressed me the most. The meat seemed to be freshly grilled, not from a vat. I liked the variety in the salad/salsa bar, it added a unique variety to my plate. There were tons of locals there too and the atmosphere was super casual with the owners kids hanging out and Mexican tv on. I kind of felt like I was at their house for dinner :) Which was cool. The meal I got was quesadilla chula has meal and it was delicious. It consisted with beans with cheese, rice and two quesadillas. They don't look like your typical Taco Bell quesadillas but these have pork meat, tomato, rice, cheese and then melt cheese with homemade tortillas. It got a little busy once we came but we were seated right away and they gave us some flour chips which is very delicious when you add some sauce to it. Eating it by itself is good as well. Coming from California, all we ask for is authentic Mexican food. Who knew we would get some in Branson! The place was packed on a Saturday night, so we were fortunate to get seated right away. Salsa was good, but chips were a bit stale. Shrimp cocktail was really good and so were the asada beef quesadilla, quesadilla mix, and the tostada de camarones. Coming from Chicago I guess I'm partial to good Mexican Food and how this place has 4 Stars is beyond me. Everything tasted of low quality meat and boxed Goya rice and canned beans. Iced Tea was definitely powdered and they're apparently too frugal to serve chips and salsa even when eating in. Instead you get Mexican store junk snacks, duros de harina (wheat pinwheels) and if you want chips and salsa you pay extra. Salsa bar? Sure they have one but you have to ask for plastic cups to put salsa in because otherwise they don't offer them. Friends ate here the other night and recommended it to us - definitely a rare and wonderful find in an otherwise sea of mediocre restaurants along Highway 76. I had both chicken tacos and chorizo tacos my hubs had the chicken chimichanga and chorizo tacos. We also had the chips and guacamole. My daughter had a chicken and cheese quesadilla.
