Coming from Chicago I guess I'm partial to good Mexican Food and how this place has 4 Stars is beyond me. Everything tasted of low quality meat and boxed Goya rice and canned beans. Iced Tea was definitely powdered and they're apparently too frugal to serve chips and salsa even when eating in. Instead you get Mexican store junk snacks, duros de harina (wheat pinwheels) and if you want chips and salsa you pay extra. Salsa bar? Sure they have one but you have to ask for plastic cups to put salsa in because otherwise they don't offer them. I give two stars because they were a nice group of ladies working there but the food was subpar at best. read more

Fantastic tacos, especially the pork and chorizo (which wasn't greasy, at all). Like some of the best tacos we've ever had but heads up - it's authentic(soft corn tortillas, no cheese/tomatoes/sour cream). The service was slow, but we came prepared for that, so it wasn't a problem for us. Skip the salsa - not much flavor. The queso was good, but took a while to get to the table since this is a REAL Mexican restaurant and chips/queso isn't a "real" Mexican dish. We will be back any time we're in town. read more

Flavors are okay, but who leaves the shells on a shrimp dish? All in all, an odd experience in general. Some sort of odd fried pinwheels upon arrival? No chips and dip unless upon request (and an upcharge). Queso was cold. Margaritas are tasty, but only available in one size and no customization. Husband got a chicken burrito; not memorable. The food was great!! My family and I had the chicken fajitas with shrimp, cheese enchiladas, cheese quesadillas, and 4 different tacos (birria, pork, chicken, and chorizo). All of our food was great and the salsa bar...amazing. However, I am always more impressed with service and our waitress was out of this world amazing!! You have to visit this restaurant!! My family and I headed here for a quick bite to eat, and we we're sadly disappointed. This is a no frills restaurant where if you want something extra, it'll be extra. The quesadillas were almost flat from having nothing in them, the chips had a really strange aftertaste, and the beans were cold. The air conditioner didn't work very well and our service was of poor quality. Hate to be a debby-downer, but this place just isn't for me. read more

Food was okay, but the service was terrible. It was really, really slow. The waitress brought out some dish, and when I told her that wasn't what I ordered, she did not even apologize. Instead she pulled out her pad to check. Even after she verified that she had messed up, no apology. We ordered 4 tacos for each of our kids. We got 2 each. It took 30 minutes to get the other two. Excellent authentic Mexican food. Read some bizarre reviews by people who clearly were not looking for authentic Mexican. Figured those reviews would be a good indication to us that we had found a good spot. Stopped in for a late lunch. Clean small restaurant with tables and booths. Ordered 4 tacos, lengua, pastor, cabeza and asada. All of them were outstanding. They had a salsa bar with several varities as well as onions and cilantro to top off your tacos. Ordered a couple of beers and made some small talk with our waitress in my best possible Spanish. She was kind and asked where I was learning and offered a couple of recomendations on the menu before we ordered. My wife had a pastor torta that was out of this world good. I would defininately go back to this place next time I am in Branson. read more

If your from KC and used to KC Mexican don't go to this place. They don't serve chips and salsa unless you pay for it and the tacos were bland and dry. The beans were the best thing in my plate. Sad day when you're disappointed in Mexican food. read more

There are far to few Branson restaurants worthy of 4 stars, so when I found a local restaurant that cleared that bar we had to try it. When we first walked in there was no greeter, & nothing to indicate seat yourself or wait to be seated. There were no place settings on the empty tables, but I did see a stack of menus on a table so we ended up seating ourselves. We were greeted by our server, got menus & browsed the very authentic & varied selections, (great selection) We ordered our appetizer, entrees & drinks, and we're very pleased with the appetizer of guacamole & chips, and our entrees. The drinks however never were delivered. So my rating of 4 stars for both the great selection of authentic Mexican food & the quality and generous portions of delicious food, would have to be offset with a service rating of 2 stars. Will I go back? Yes, because I love local "hole in the wall restaurants" with authentic, quality food, and I can always hope the service improves. OVERALL RATING 3 STARS. read more

Let me start buy saying we are from Arizona so Mexican food is important. ;) that said, maybe shouldn't have bothered here in Branson. You have to order chips and salsa, unheard of where we are and I bet there are 15 Mexican food places in our town. We went ahead and ordered them because, well, chips and salsa! Unfortunately, the chips were cooked with old grease so not great. They did have a salsa bar for your food which was nice. It's a really small place but the waitress was friendly and efficient. Ordered their cheese enchiladas to try a different approach, queso instead of enchilada sauce. It was pretty good. Overall, it was not bad but would not return. read more

We stopped for a late lunch with my parents on our way to a show. The traditional chips & salsa are not served which was a disappointment. Instead they served a basket of Duros aka Mexican Wagon Wheels which we didn't care for. Three of us got taco salads & one plate of 3 tacos with rice & beans. This place is as authentic as you are gonna get! We ordered 12 tacos to go. 1/2 were steak and 1/2 were ground beef. The corn tortillas were clearly fresh and HOMEMADE in house. The meats were high quality and not your "run of the mill" Taco Bell quality. The steak was my favorite--marinated, tender, flavorful. Perfection. The taco bar they have has all kinds of different sauces that are authenticly made, not what an Americanized-version of taco sauce is. They had a mango salsa that was amazing too. read more

Food was decent. They got our order wrong but still charged us for the incorrect item. Left me without a drink for most of my meal. This is the first Mexican restaurant I've been to that doesn't set up with chips and salsa. They have three wagon wheels that are loaded with grease. My suggestion, go somewhere else. read more

In my opinion this is the best place for tacos. Very authentic. We stopped in on Christmas evening around six. I was surprised that they were open and we were glad they were. Family owned restaurant and cooked with love. We came back the next day for lunch. Wish I would if tried the fried tilapia it looked so good. The most authentic in town! The al pastor, chorizo, and birria tacos are the best. The lengua is not cooked right. The horchata drink is really tasty. It's a little small and on Tuesdays it's more crowded than usual because of $1 tacos. If you're a little patient it's totally worth going! read more

Street tacos were very tasty. Had two chorizo and two asada. It was our server's first day and there was miscommunication to the kitchen on the taco suave plate as it is supposed to be two tacos and rice and beans but arrived at our table with only one asada taco. So my wife had to order rice as a side. Manager was accommodating to selling just the one taco after verifying with the kitchen that they had only sent one taco out. read more
